Excellent report, as the owner of a non hybrid Sport I found it most interesting . Regarding mpg I regularly get 50+ on a steady run, that depends of course how much right foot you deploy, but the worst I've had is 45mpg. Performance wise she is much quicker than Suzuki's official figures and regularly puts the wind up "faster" machinery and I suspect the hybrid Sport will be the same. I've done just over 12000 miles in 4 years and nothing has gone wrong, typically Suzuki. Thanks, best Pip 🙂
Thanks for sharing Pip, glad you enjoyed it 👍
These are reliable, fun to drive no nonsense cars. They are often over looked by the general public but in many ways better than the a lot of the competition. Also for the money they are very well equipped. Well done Suzuki.
Getting a Swift Sport soon. Have owned a FIESTA ST for the last three years. Such a good car. So much power. Don’t think the Swift Sport even compares to the ST, but it’s no longer available in Australia
Safe bet second hand because of the build quality
That color combination is perfect, except for the stripes, a desirable mini sportscar in my opinion, the very last of a breed born with and made in the spirit of the original golf gti.
, we will miss these cars.
This is my Dream car(minus the manual) its to the point and built to last unlike most of its pricier rivals.
We can definitely help make that dream a reality, our Vehicle Specialists are on hand to explore your options. Why not book your free consultation here: bit.ly/3CjajbT
LESGHOOO!! Suzuki video 😍 Got mine Swift Hybrid last year. 46mpg - while not even trying to save fuel. Amazing car - couldnt pick better car - got it for 14500euro !
That's fantastic news, we are so happy you are enjoying your Suzuki Swift. 👍 If you liked the video, make sure to subscribe: bit.ly/319ZKoT👍
Loving ours and it’s actually great for long journeys! Adaptive cruise control is brilliant and you will arrive relaxed. Great car 👍🏻
Great to hear! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Seems like he want to sell the standard model rather than the Sport version. I drove both standard and sport version, and certainly the sport version have the fun factor
Been driving this fun car for a year now! Great fun but a bit terrifying when you check out your fuel economy when you are having fun! On average, on mixed town, motorway and rural i have averaged 48.5 mpg which is not far off the manufacturer claims. It copes well with the weekly shop, and I've driven to Cornwall in it.
I'm truth at £23k it's too expensive but it's way better than the Up GTi and the Fiat 500 Abarth for a retired person. It really does put a smile on my face.
Really enjoyed this review. 👌
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think Suzuki need to try make a vitara sport with it being slightly lower stiffer suspension and alot more power for £28,000 ish if it was 8 seconds to 60 and was fun to drive, they'd have another good seller
Had the non hybrid Sport 2018 in Bright Yellow, brilliant fun car and got 50 mpg easily.
Sadly her indoors wanted something more comfortable and an auto so it had to go 😂
The non hybrid was a second faster to 62 mpg also.
Buy hy dd farri 22 mog 155 moh
Never seen such a sedate review. It's a SPORT man, give it some beans. You can't give a fair review of a warm lightweight chassis sport hatch at an average test drive speed of 22mph.
Here in India you can get the non hybrid version for just 5500 pounds.
Its not the same car from the ones made in Japan !
I own a 2019 Swift Sport, it's a great car. Quite quick, very economical - I easily get 50+ mpg
Unfortunately the power decreased, the weight and the price increased. 👀
Peak power decreased, but torque and power range in the revs got much better imho. Price increase is unfortunate, but that is the way of the world.
Now Suzuki bring a 1.4L hybrid Carry / APV commercial to the rest of the world.
The loading lip is far too deep, and the satnav is placed too low on the dash.
Are you short? . . .
36 uk mpg in my old 87 1.0 3 cyl swift
I can get over 50mpg in my st easily
Very disappointing review from OSV imho, the title says 2022 Suzuki Swift Sport but you spent more time talking about the non Sport models, very lazy reviewing imo
Sorry to disappoint, we will feed this back to the team for future reviews. Thank you for sharing your feedback.
I'm glad we're not getting this Hybrid in SA... Less power more weight...
129hp on hybrid vs 140hp on non hybrid
Hybrid also has the electric motor that outputs 13hp and 50+Nm. I own a 2022 hybrid and it’s super fast and fun to drive.
@@cogsincogs car has gained weight too anyway plus the engine lost some few horses
@@sizakelecomfortmtshweni9530 45kg, that’s not much and is compensated with the increased torque. I’ve test driven the non hybrid SSS before buying the hybrid and there is no noticable difference at all between them. Both are great cars, but I went with a hybrid because of the added torque which is very noticable when accelerating in higher gears.
@@cogsincogs okay if you say so. Does the hybrid come with Auto transmission option?
@@sizakelecomfortmtshweni9530 If you look a bit online, you’ll find I’m not the only one saying this. Check CTC tuning, they make custom parts for SSS, and claim the same, there’s nothing really between them. And no the SSS hybrid does not have a AT option in Europe, which is a good thing, long live the manuals!
Nonsense!
Balderdash!
Hogwash!
Blither!
The fact you even mentioned the Vauxhall whatever it is an insult to the Suzuki swift. It’s like comparing diamonds to turds
