Maputo, capital of East Africa’s Mozambique, is an Indian Ocean port with preserved Portuguese colonial architecture. Many turn-of-the-century buildings are in the downtown jacaranda-lined Baixa neighborhood. The bronze-domed CFM Maputo Railway Station, for example, was completed in 1916. The Baixa also has an expansive Municipal Market. The neoclassical City Hall is in the nearby Praça da Independência square.

Dar es Salaam, a major city and commercial port on Tanzania’s Indian Ocean coast, grew from a fishing village. The open-air Village Museum has re-created the traditional homes of local and other Tanzanian tribes and hosts tribal dancing. It’s part of the National Museum, which offers Tanzanian history exhibits, including the fossils of human ancestors found by anthropologist Louis Leakey.

You can't compare this 2 countries. Maputo, Mozambique by far much better, Maputo is well organized, cleaner, much cleaner than dar es, our hospital. Infrastructure, bridges, roads are better, there is no vendors in our city, unless in designated areas, people are not allowed to sell everywhere in Maputo, there is specific places to sell food and clothes, contrary to dar es salaam, even opposite state house are people selling food, at the bus station are people selling casaca ticr stew, the eat every day chips and meat and chicken, so there is everywhere, literally every small restaurant and kiosks, city is very dirty compare to Maputo, there is no control from health authorities, the butchers don't even keep meat in there fridge, the whole cow can stay outside for long hours waiting for customers, without any kind of conservation. I live in Tanzania since 2019, my girlfriend is Tanzanian, ask anyone that has visited Mozambique, Maputo and Dar es, you can't actually compare the 2 cities, you can't in all aspects.

Thanks for the info bro I'm from Mozambique but I have never been to Tanzania. But in my point of view Tanzania is also a developing country so I don't think there is huge difference between the two cities.
