Love your videos! Would love to praise you with compliments but in an effort to be direct I will just ask you. Have you ever had an instance where the rear trunnion rivet (long) was too large (circumference) to fit into the rear trunnion hole? What would one do at that point? I know the trunnion was from a virgin kit, do I just drill it larger so that that rivet would fit?
Use a uni-bit and you will save mucho time. Go to lowes! Install the rails drill all your holes after you make your trigger hump. Then heat treat. Uni-bits are stepped in 32 of an inch.
For an 80% receiver would it be better to harden the receiver first then drill the holes? or drill the holes first then harden the receiver? or it does not really matter which process comes first?
I know this question has been asked many times. There's not a lot of information here, unless I missed the discussion. I need drawings for AK47. I want to start manufacturing spare parts. I know some of you have old books and/or access to printable drawings in pdf format Any help is appreciated.❤
ive seen an AMD65 with the underfolder configuration (polish m70). if I have a receiver blank, what would need to be done and parts needed for this? do i need to pick up a polish m70 rear trunnion and drill the blank accordingly?
i have a question for you, lets say someone has drilled a hole compltly through a barrel. Is there any way to repair the barrel after it has been removed?
Not an expert, but I gonna say no, and it’s probably “shot” lol I got my barrel from Arms of America, they have 16” Polish FB Radom, chrome lined and hammer forged barrels, with blued finish, for $135 right now. It’s not Russian, but it’s still an import from a country that’s been making AK’s since almost the beginning. Also, I asked on the AK subreddit, and practically everyone said the FB’s are some of (if not the) best barrels on the market and I made the right buy. I guess you could try and fill the holes with welding and the re-rifle it, but that’s not worth the time, effort, or money. Even then you still have a used barrel, whereas the FB Radom is brand new and good for 10-20,000+ rounds.
intelligent solution! i was thinking about how to make this. but this did not came in my mind. thank you!
Outstanding video! Thank you for showing this install.

oh please use cutting oil drills last longer holes are cleaner.

7 years late but, Hardening should be the last step.

Anyone ever drill holes into an AKM to make it an AKMS? I want an underfolder bad. I just like the way they look. Had one and miss it bad.
Is there a way to locate the holes without purchasing the jig?
