Hey everyone. I saw this series on vice news called making it and it’s about the cost of living in a particular city. I’ve always wanted to make one ever since I saw that series from 4 years ago. So here’s the video, highly inspired by vice news. I hope you enjoy it because I really enjoyed making it. Have a great weekend!
I am from Wellington lived there 1980-2000. UK since 2000 quick trips back in 2009 and 2019. Another one in 2023. Love the place always. Bohemic cafes etc. Music shops.
How to get citizenship of new zealand if my work visa does not come under skill migrant category. I am a CA and want to work and get citizenship of nz.
Hi Ms Chris! This is really informative! Would like to know as well how much does it cost for an internet subscription monthly, cellphone plan just for the data and sms or calls, water and electricity. Thank you and always stay safe! ❤️
My internet is 62 per month. And phone plan at 20 per month, water is free in Wellington and electricity is about 100 per month for 3 people. You should check out my video tracking my expenses for the first time. It’s more detailed there 😊
Fellow Wellingtonian and investor here. Does the recent government decision to remove the tax deductibility off mortgage interest for rental investors affect you guys much? And if so, will you be adjusting your financial plan going forward?
I think it won’t affect us that much for awhile. We’ve never been on interest only loan and we already manage the property ourselves. We have all our loans ending this Sept so will definitely have a long chat with the accountant regarding our financial plan. We increased rent last year and was planning not to this year, so I hope we won’t have to. Better to keep good tenants but at the end of the day, it’s also a business. How about you? Does it affect you much?
@@ChrisQuimbo Hi Chris, thanks for your reply. Yes it does affect our profitability abit, but won't change our overall plans. In the end - real estate (or share market) investing is a game of snake and ladders, you just have to play it out long term.
@@ChrisQuimbo I’ll still have to try that laser device though! hehe! I’ll soon be doing my CAP in New Zealand, wish me luck! I’m kinda nervous. Can you do a video about how to prep oneself in a foreign country? Like opening up a bank account and mobile number? Oh! and how to look for a renting place hehe
