Hi David Kirkham! Thanks for the hit! I got this record when I was a kid and I loved all the sounds on it. Lately I'm playing clubs with a trio. I had been playing with keyboards and horns sometimes. So when we hit the solo here, that's how the trio sounds live in a medium old school groove ; )
This is a straight cover...as close to the original as I have heard. That being said, I prefer covers where the covering artist makes it his own. The best I have heard is Crystal Bowersox version. She made it gospel.
