Absolutely. Raw and full of passion. No showmanship just honest emotions and the wish to bring a message across. This man knew and still knows that he has and had something to say and he knew he has to say it with music and through songs. CCR in many ways was John Fogerty. I'm glad he stayed true to the art of real music and couldn't be persuaded by anyone to get commercial. This speaks of character. There are not many men I admire for their honest emotions in singing: There is Billy Joel, there is Elton John, there is John Fogerty. There are certainly more but these three come to my mind immediately when I think of raw emotions, honesty and passion in singing.
John - it was in the mid ‘80’s, I just turned 21, I was in a dead end job.. I up and quit - jumped on my street bike, cassette player of all the CCR music I could stuff in my leather jacket, plus batteries... I listened to CCR for over 10K miles and 27 states ... I was indeed a free young man... returned home to Oregon state- got another job eventually working for myself.... every time I hear your music - ‘together ‘ we are on that freedom bike ride once again in our 20’s!!! Bless you, your family, your fans - for keeping this music alive ! Ride On.....

We love this series with family and song. In the 70's I saw the live version of CCR on TV and set my mind on buying a black les paul custom, just like John's guitar. This was a huge investment for a poor boy in SoCal, so I worked 3 summers of hard labor, gas station, installing garage doors, and working asphalt to make new streets. I finally earned the money to buy my black beauty les paul, a great guitar, and joined a band. The guitar was stolen a few years later, but I still have the calluses on my hands from the hard work, hot summers and great memories of playing CCR with my friends. Many of your songs I was playing in my acoustic almost 28 years ago while I was in the Medical college. Here it is a little different story where I always wanna play myself, keeping my guitars at bedside and always my guitar as my best companion but my wife and my daughter not really liking it. You were my dad's fav band back in the late 60's. In the late 90's my friends would gather at my home and we would listen to my dad's 8-tracks of CCR. It was the only music we could agree on. Timeless rock-and-roll. It was a part of my teenage years too. It culminated in myself, my brother, and my dad seeing u in concert in Raleigh NC sometime around 2000. Great show. Some years ago I went to his concert in Eugene Oregon, it was the best one I have ever been to. NO one in the crowd could sit still, had to get up and dance. It was lots of fun. You were my dad's fav band back in the late 60's. In the late 90's my friends would gather at my home and we would listen to my dad's 8-tracks of CCR.
It was the only music we could agree on. Timeless rock-and-roll. It was a part of my teenage years too.
It culminated in myself, my brother, and my dad seeing u in concert in Raleigh NC sometime around 2000. Great show.

Some years ago I went to his concert in Eugene Oregon, it was the best one I have ever been to. NO one in the crowd could sit still, had to get up and dance. It was lots of fun.
