He probably needed to knock a section of the door out so that he could reach inside and unlock it. That or for some odd reason it was just part of his signature trademark.
Or razor boy could of been a skinny guy and slipped in to open the door and unlocked it for the axeman and by razor boy I mean the other guy a witness saw
When I was watching the episode I immediately connected the dots and was like ‘ oh he probably knocked out the bottom panel to reach the lock’ then I was worried because I understood the thought process of a serial killer so easily XD
But, he's described as a big guy, so he got on his knees to reach in, then reach up and unlock? And why not knock out an upper panel and make the reach easier?
There are similarities between a series of attacks in 1910-1911 and the Axeman attacks that started in 1917. The final attack, in 1911, was on an Italian grocer where the attacker used a butcher's meat cleaver to bludgeon the brains out of the victim's head. Like just hacked it to a pulp. Plus, there were other Axeman attacks where the violence was just way overkill.
i’ve always wondered, the axeman was going to kill whoever wasn’t playing jazz so why wouldn’t they just like... set up a house not playing jazz and fill it with police and arrest the axeman when he came to kill them???
Nick Sessions the whole idea it is a woman who was the axeman makes more sense to me. Cause I don't see a big ole man with a fucking axe not being able to successfully kill every victim in their sleep.
@@ProperlyGaming A large man with an axe, breaking into people's houses would make WAY more noise than let's say a much smaller woman with an axe. I have just gone through every episode of postmortem, only watching Shane’s face during the intro of each episode. 10/10 would recommend. You will not be disappointed.
Jaehee Kang 😂😂 just see him stuck one day and he tries to play it off like "Oh hey good morning I uh seem to be stuck in you're door would you kindly open it so I may beat your heads in?"
But maybe he knocked out the panel of the door so that he could get in by reaching through and unlocking it from the inside, then he could easily get in without picking locks and climbing through windows and all that
Always Alli since the axeman is described as a very large man, don't you think even knocking out the bottom panel to unlock the door would be a bit of an awkward hassle ? idk man
aimee herediaperez i think it would be awkward for a large man to do, but i mean he's gotta get in some way. i think breaking into someone's home in general isn't the most graceful thing anyway
Nice theory, although technically it would be easier to knock out the top panel and open the door, because he wouldn't have to bend his arm so weirdly. (And he could look down and see where the door handle/knob is, instead of awkwardly feeling around the door.) Didn't even think of that though, so nice work!
Always Alli then why not just used the axe and cut the door? why bother cutting down a tiny bit of the door? (not saying that door panels are tiny but compare to the door its smaller) im sorry if i sound rude i was just wondering
Brooke Bean i think maybe he got in through the bottom panel in the first one then broke in differently on the others so to not wake up the victims then knocked in the door panels as he left as a weird sort of crime signature
the axeman does have a lot of similarities to the Lizzie Borden case. the Axe left on the floor, people killed in their sleep, idk but seems plausible to me.
It's easier to kick out a panel than it would be to do it by hand. One swift, loud sound is less likely to cause someone significant alarm and cause them to wake up.
I think that it was smart to knock out the bottom panel of the door because if he knocked out the panel at the bottom than went through another way, the police and detectives would find the knocked out panel and probably assume that the man was smaller, therefore throwing them off his track.
Or he could've reached in and unlocked the door. If he'd knocked out a top panel it'd be obvious he was unlocking the door but if he did it with the bottom they could think he climbed through, making them think he's smaller than he was.
I really wanna get the true crime trading cards, but I feel like if I'm ever a suspect for a murder, they'll be like "Well, she is a big fan of BuzzFeed unsolved, serial killer stories, and even has serial killer TRADING CARDS" and everyone's gonna be like "yep, it was her"

Is it wrong that I already miss Buzzfeed Unsolved Supernatural...
Hailey Pohl I'm kinda glad but I miss some of their antics. I get really paranoid and make the mistake of watching them alone late at night but even the True Crime ones make me feel like I'm being watched
Sarah Kinsey I feel like the true crime ones make me feel more like I'm being watched. Mainly because the ghosts are at least mostly chill. Whereas the axeman... I don't think there's anything nice about him.
Alyssa Marie i'm the opposite lol
I don't believe in ghosts and that's why I didn't really watch the supernatural episodes. And also it's less scary than listening about people getting brutally killed.
Oh god yes, i'm not alone :3
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LITTLE GHOSTS AND ANIMATIONS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO!!! We need answers
Paddy Hackett It's unsolved.
The question remains unsolved
It's true crime that's only for supernatural
Paddy Hackett omg your profile pick momentarily scared the crap out of me
Shane makes this so worth it everytime
How come no one is mentioning that Ryan is wearing a Buzzfeed Unsolved hat? And more importantly, where can i get one of those?!
Bianca Ocsan there's merch you can get
This is the only good thing buzzfeed still has
I am so happy this is back! Now if this and Unsolved Supernatural could run all the time that would be awesome!
I always forget that these two are apart of buzzfeed
What if he just knocked out the pannel and reached up to open the door?
They Fit perfectly Together.
I guess all the people in the comments didn’t jazz it....all hail the watcher
THAT BUZZFEED UNSOLVED HAT! I NEED NOOOWWW!! 😍
I'm not normally one to get obsessed with things like this, but I couldn't stop looking at that upside-down book on the purple shelf.
They should do the mystery of the black eyed children
