Excellent bit of design work there, I am looking to improve a better low wind start on my turbuines, will give a try at making these, Like the design of your metal bender to, will have a go at making that to, video and presentation put together very wery well, sound quality very good. Wishing youa good week ahead and thank you for sharing your information and knowledge, Kindest regards to you and yours, from my little island in the atlantic ocean Peter
Thanks for your response; the SUN inverter gives somewhat of an advantage in that it has a lower voltage requirement (10.5 volts) than some of the other grid tie inverters that require 12.5 volts (or above) to start sending power to the grid.
What would happen if you design a wind turbine that has 3 blades which are very wide near the center and taper quickly as they reach the edge of the radius? Would you still need the additional three "hour hands"? Great video. Thank you for posting your efforts! God bless America!!
im interested ,,give me a price for 15 inch 5 of them and 20 inch 5,,if your still in biz..i dont have all the tools so im chking to see which is better in the long run ..ill be using them on a treadmill motor and a 12 vlt altenator to see which is more productive ,and cost effective..
Electronicdawg Yes I saw a gain but it wasn't so big. The advantage of those sort blades is that you can get power even from slow wiind. In the previous state I had to have wind speed stronger than 5 beufort to get power. Now it starts to charge me batteries from 3 beufort. Thank you again for the idea.
dad gum Dawg. You have built a lot of stuff.. Good going on the wind fans..

NICE JOB MAN
That's ingenious :D
Nice job with the home made blades! Are you getting enough voltage for a trickle charge at the low wind speeds?

Pbeas52 Yea yea, my inverter starts charging at 10v.
+Electronicdawg ... and for you to get started on charging, about what speed of wind do you need?
Very awesome, at what speed do you start creating amps?
NICE ONE IT IS HUMMING.

Do you have a safety mechanism for stopping them? Looks like they can catch quite some speed
Robs Tech Channel The Apollo has an auto break, the Ametek I have to manually break by shorting out. the long Blades are good for 100mph winds
How much amps are those putting out?

I don't sell them. There is a diagram in the video on how to build your own.
Very good idea. I built them and my wind generator starts spinning even with low speed wind (2 beufort). Thank you.
sv1eps Great, you should see a gain in power too.

sv1eps Exactly, you may not see top end gain but a gain in charge at lower speeds.
what is the rated output of this turbine sir?
electronicdawg can it be used using car alternator?
francis kaizar Talatala 400w and 200w
francis kaizar Talatala Car alternator has too much magnetic cog to start a low wind speeds, unless it's been modified.
sir can i use galvanised iron sheet isntead of alluminium. alluminium is more expensive than galvanised sheet. thanks
Yes you can use but galvanized will not work great as it's heavier in weight
Love to tinker.
homemade wind generator nose cone
shorter the blade, less the torque
ametek is better
richard cero One of those gennys (green blades) is a 50v Ametek. Also have a 30v ametek I plan to also fly.
okay
