    As a person who randomly starts staring at walls while studying , i have a critical question . During a day before exams why does my brain functions 10x faster and better , why does my body compromises all the wordly pleasures , how do i train my brain to do that more often . Please answer this , this would help me in my journey to become a doc like u ❤

      Hey there!
      Absolutely, I get where you're coming from, and it's a normal experience.
      That last-minute surge often happens due to stress-induced adrenaline, making the brain hyper-focused. To harness this more consistently, try spaced repetition techniques, simulate exam conditions during study, and maintain a regular study routine. Additionally, try Interleaving: mixing different topics or skills during study sessions rather than focusing on one at a time. It enhances learning by heightening your focus and boosting your understanding of materials by forming connections between subjects. It will also challenge the brain, which is great for encoding ideas.
      Here are a few video links that I think will help.
      th-cam.com/video/yG7z8XtZGMk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-r6hw5Gf9jdWefGT
      th-cam.com/video/fkKBJQ0K9xE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vyXLz9wnOjaQrTjG

      th-cam.com/video/Ts1Ktxi4drI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QC0Bp4xhYYDr-Nea
      Consistent practice, prioritizing focus, mixing different subjects and study methods, and creating a study routine mimicking the exam day environment are the small steps you need to gradually condition your brain to perform at its peak more often.
      Hope it helps! Keep me posted on how it goes!

      @CajunKoiAcademy Thanks, I'll definitely check out these videos. Also I'd like to inform you that I successfully found out the reason behind procrastination which was ofc my mobile . I figured out keeping my mobile in a locker helped me study and actually enjoy it . Since the time I've put this comment I surprisingly almost completed a chp this is almost equivalent to my exam speeds. 😊

    What helps me the most is getting to work right after I wake up / after my workout. No TH-cam or anything before I do a few hours of work. I find that if I do something like TH-cam or get on Reddit early in my day, I'm WAY more likely to not have the discipline to stay away. Or at the very least, I'll end up having a hard time being totally focused on my studying. Plus, I think telling myself no TH-cam or goofing off right at the beginning of my day creates that mindset and gets the brain into work mode more effectively.

People make it look really easy so since I feel constantly stressing about the dreadful outcome of me snot studying and also studying and getting nothing good it return, i add more stress to it by thinking I'm just not capable of doing anything cause I'm stressing while others Don't. Which they do, It's good to reminded of that since It's really easy for me to forget that. I'm glad I clicked into this video, really.

    As a fellow engineering student, For the people like me who procrastinate ALOT, start setting a stopwatch on a device and set a goal on how early can you finish a particular portion. While watching pre recorded lectures, i started doing this and it amazed me that i was focused for more hours than what i expected!! I'll recommend not doing this continuously but setting a limit to do it 3 or 5 times a day making sure to put enough time intervals or you'll become a little less productive. Advice: during intervals either switch subjects or do something that is not time bounded,you can also go on a walk but stay away from electronic devices. This gives your brain the required rest and then you can repeat the same process!!❤
    Sorry for any grammatical errors:)

      @@macaroniagachtuber I suggest you start with getting to the bottom of the reason, so:
      1.Collect data first. Find the reason its happening; are you tired or burned out? is the material too easy or too hard? Is the study technique not working for you?
      2. Work on training your focus. Here are the links that I think will help you immensely:
      th-cam.com/video/fkKBJQ0K9xE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=c28iqtBDzSWXCHpW
      th-cam.com/video/PLFKHRV1mKI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MTVijgwgLHfnflOJ
      th-cam.com/video/lEHt8m61hSg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3kePRANnnyedc9VQ
      3. Track your progress. Include everything: your strongest and weakest topics/subjects, how much youve completed, how much is left, how hard/easy they are, your hardest and easiest topics, your emotions before and after studying, how many times you lost focus, how long did you study etc.
      Its like a video game where you are the main character, work to improve yourself everyday by checking and adjusting as needed.
      4. Prioritize self care especially sleep, good diet, exercise. Do not overwhelm yourself otherwise you'll burn out and give up on studies again.
      5. Divide your big task into tiny subtasks. You know how, video games have a big mission and objectives that make up the mission, like that, take your big task like studying and divide into mini-missions.
      6. Do it with friends! Make a study group if not maybe join our discord where you'll find a lot of students studying together and having fun at the same time.
      Doing that will make it look less scary and you'd be able to complete your assignments.
      Remember to never give up. Always keep trying and do your best everyday. Good luck! 🙏🏻
      I am proud of you for getting to the root of the problem yourself. 👏🏻🙏🏻 Thats a great sign of progress
      Keep trying to improve every day (even a 1% is a great start), prioritize self care especially sleep, test yourself often
      Lastly, don't give up. You will get better as you go further in this path of self-improvement because feelings of forgetfulness and overwhelm are normal. Always work through them as much as you can consistently.
      You got this! Good luck

    Really loved the video!
    Here's an AI summary :3
    Introduction:
    Modern life is full of distractions (social media, email, apps).
    Focus is not black and white; it's a spectrum influenced by brain waves.
    I learned to master focus by understanding the brain's process.
    Focus Formula: *Prepare, Engage, Sustain*:
    Prepare:
    Focus is a three-part process.
    Preparation is crucial for focus.
    Clear goals are essential for the prefrontal cortex to suppress unnecessary brain activity.
    Clarity creates focus; confusion causes procrastination.
    Preparation extends to the environment (tidy workspace, minimal tech distractions).
    Engage:
    Transition from a relaxed state to the Flow State.
    Emotional struggle is linked to the insula (connects emotions to thoughts).
    Overcoming emotional discomfort is crucial for sustained focus.
    Rituals (like a focus checklist) reduce emotional struggle.
    The golden rule of flow involves gradually increasing the challenge to enter a flow state.
    Sustain:
    Understand the limits of focus (like a muscle, it needs breaks and recovery).
    Avoid the mistake of trying to power through long study or work sessions without breaks.
    Focus requires recovery; fatigue signals the need for a break.
    Ultradian rhythms suggest breaks every 90 minutes on average.
    Manage engagement levels; recognize moments of difficulty or boredom.
    Reframe challenges positively as part of training attention.
    Use the Focus Formula to analyze and correct distractions.
    Conclusion:
    I refer to the Focus Formula whenever distractions take over.
    Training attention is a process involving preparation, engagement, and sustainment.

    I have a question and hope you reply it , in the past I've been used to listening to music when i was studying and now and discovered that my brain can't focus without music and so many people told me that my way is wrong, so... I want you to tell me if my way to focus on studying is wrong or true? And if it's wrong could you tell me how i can get rid of it? And to let you know i used to listen to music because i got bored when I'm studying something especially if it requires handwrite training, so could you help me please? And thank you for reading my comment

      Studying with music is a personal preference, and it's not inherently wrong. It definitely helps focus people on their tasks better (instrumental or lo-fi music the most).
      In the end, if you are achieving your study goals and not getting distracted then you are good to go.

    • @CajunKoiAcademy
      @CajunKoiAcademy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there! You must remember that focus is like a muscle. As you train your muscles in the gym by increasing the load it can bear slowly, you train your focus by slowly increasing your time.
      Additionally, keep an eye on your energy levels. You should not overload it too much otherwise you'll burn out (like a muscle needs rest to heal) therefore, you need to prioritize rest as well.
      TL; DR: Focus needs training and rest so concentrate on slowly increasing your time while taking proper rest breaks to avoid burnout.
      Hope it helps and keep me posted on how it goes! 👊🏻🙏🏻

    • @CajunKoiAcademy
      @CajunKoiAcademy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Hey there!
      As you said, you know the 70% is more important and requires more time, while learning the 30% would waste the energy that would've been better invested in learning the material that matters
      I would write down the important topics with red pen on paper and jot down under that I will not study the remaining 30 until I have completed these important ones.
      Always have that list in front of you whenever you are studying as a reminder to keep away from the other chapters.

      Awesome question. You might have to review your note-taking/study method or your focus. Both if it's that bad. Change your note-taking and studying methodology and also focus on evaluating, analysing, and understanding your material first before writing it down as notes.

    • @CajunKoiAcademy
      @CajunKoiAcademy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What does your study schedule look like? Is it small and doable enough, or do you overwhelm yourself with your work? Distraction happens when you either don't have a doable plan or you lack the energy to continue forward. Check either of the two (set a highly detailed specific goal with a time limit and keep your energy levels high by having good food and enough sleep). Focus is something you need to train every day consistently. It doesn't happen in a day, but over a period of time, your results accumulate. It's like how you build muscles at the gym. You have to keep trying and working on it.
      keep me posted on your progress.

    • @CajunKoiAcademy
      @CajunKoiAcademy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Training your focus is not a one time event. It is something we all do on a regular basis. Just like exercise, you need to train multiple times a week for your entire life, it never ends.
      The trick is to enjoy every session of exercise (with a workout routine that you enjoy, or doing a sport with others that you enjoy). The same goes for focus. Build a focus routine that you enjoy doing for the rest of your life, and this will make you wealthy. Join our community and join in on focus sessions with us and others, we are starting a movement and want to help the world build a sustainable relationship with focus.

      Hide your phone, create the perfect study environment, get your snacks, your water, your materials - everything you need and start making a plan; create your goal for the day and break it down into objectives, use the pomodoro method to give yourself an illusion of a time limit and do the best you can to achieve the goal for the day. Be as specific and as detailed with your study goal as possible so that your brain doesn't waste energy on any confusion. Keep me posted on how it goes

    clarity creates goals i dont understand

    • @CajunKoiAcademy
      @CajunKoiAcademy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Clarity means your goals need to be SMART; Specific: write them with as much detail as possible, include place, your tools, where you see yourself after you achieve them etc
      Measurable: measure how you are doing; your failures and successes.
      Attainable: goal must be within reach. Lean on data, analytics, and research to help set attainable goals. Your data could just be, "Get to this step in two days" and follow up with it after. you don't need to overcomplicate anything.
      Relevant: goals set must be relevant to your current values and future aims.
      Time bound: Goals must be time-related. It’s not productive to set a deadline too far in the future for a simple task, or an unrealistically short deadline for something complex and time-consuming.
      Hope this helps! Keep me posted on how it goes! Maybe share a goal that you write here and we can work on it after.
