    Use realistic population to make & rush hour mod to make your city more realistic and good looking. and another gameplay experience! Change it before its to late! (ps: also realistic comsuption)

    I went to Sedona, AZ irl before. It was a very beautiful city. The McDonald’s arches were pink, and they have a rule against light pollution so even though it’s a city, you can see the stars very well.

    Also make sure that you don’t enable advanced AI in the TM:PE mod, as this is what caused the issue in the last city (happened to me in my city as well) I love this map btw, good choice!

    • @kodimarius5798

      Advanced AI is always on from the start of my cities and this never happens to me!

    • @ItsDeckyah
      @ItsDeckyah 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kodi Marius I used to use it all the time too but in my recent city nothing will spawn while advanced AI is turned on, as soon as it is disabled everything returns to normal. Don’t know why but it’s really annoying because I hate the standard AI

    • @R0X1987

    • @ItsDeckyah

      Gianluca Roselli In settings, go to the Traffic Manager:PE mod settings, then from there, under gameplay you will find the option to turn it on :)

    • @PiousMoltar
      @PiousMoltar 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Been a while since I've played the game but I found the advanced AI, although somewhat more sensible, didn't really fix anything and it some cases made it worse. Why can't traffic just get in the right lane as soon as it joins a new road? If it gets in the right lane at all...

  • @RebelKing

  • @issyisabell
    @issyisabell 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love the aesthetic of this map, & I like the look of the open space between the buildings you are creating, more suburbia to begin with. Definitely do the downtown further up the river, maybe even on the higher ground. If moving the train bridge further up the line makes it less steep than that would be the way to go for realism. Good start Flabs!

    I really appreciate the more spacious and foresty aesthetic you're going for so far! I defiantly think the train/tram should run along the water front and link to the industrial area further up, it would look a lot neater and would be more practical to plan out. Plus it would be noisier for the residential area if it went straight through. I also think there should a small, quaint town hall area near the water front! :)

  • @iClaud_0

    one idea that I have to improve the city is to make the make that bridge that goes over the train track start farther back, so it is almost like a small overpass. Also you might want to add a small central park in a triangular shape to keep the 'spacious' feeling going for the town. I would also move the industrial area away from that small peninsula. It could be a great spot for a small port with a road going to weds the direction of the future farms and possibly have the industry on the other side of the road with the bridge going over the river. There is a small hill there which could block the noise from the industrial district. A park running between the road and the river would also be a neat touch. like in NYC.

    Yeeeaaahhhhh!!!! Flabby Dabby is back with Cities!!!! My fav. Also, I'm getting strong "Arizona/Nevada-esque" vibes (though TBH, I've never been to either) with this map. Perhaps look at Arizona/Nevade for some ~inspiration~
    Also, going forward, Im a big fan of the 'small town' idea, surrounded by farms/forest and perhaps as someone suggested, a Las Vegas strip out in the middle of nowhere!

    If you're planning to keep passenger and cargo lines separate, don't forget to leave space for the flatter. Also, while the bridge looks cool, I think it would be more realistic to have level crossings if the town is small. In my town (25kish people), there are about 3 level crossings within 1km of each other linking two parts of the town together and they work just fine.

    I think grids are fine for this map because most deserts are built in grids (I.e. Sedona, Arizona, which is where this map is based on). If you look at Sedona on google maps, it’s mostly straight roads with a few curved roads here and there with more of them as you get farther away from the center of the city. There’s also some roads that more or less follow the contour of the land.

    My suggestion for now is not to zone any of the new eco buildings in any of the little green space that is available on this map. Reason being atleast all of the lower density residential (I've yet to check other densities/zone types) have dirt as their base and no grass so you might as well save it for the already grass-less area.
    As for what you've done so far, I think it is looking good. I agree with moving the elevated road to another location but definitely use that idea because I think it will look awesome.
    I was anxiously awaiting this new series so I'm glad it's here now. Perfect ti ing too since I had just given up on trying to fall asleep when I saw the new upload. Looking foreward to the next part!
