Dakota Park CL

Hello & Welcome back to Caravan Escapades and welcome to this Vlog. We visited Dakota Park CL in Lincolnshire for the Late Bank Holiday in May. This is a lovely site in the heart of Rural Lincolnshire well situated for exploring the Likes of Woodhall Spa, Tattershall Lakes & Castle, Thorpe Camp Visitors Centre. The Cl is situated just away from the far end of Coningsby Airfield Runway So Ideal for those aircraft spotters among you. Michelle was a great host very welcoming and with plenty of information on things to do and places to visit in the local area.
Unfortunately, while we were there the Battle of Britian Memorial Flight Spitfire MK356 flown by Sqn Ldr Mark Long crashed near the campsite just after take-off unfortunately killing Mark Long. We would firstly like to pas on our condolences to Marks Family & Colleagues. This was such a tragic accident. “Stand Down and Blue Sky’s Sir your Duty is Done”.

We went to have a look at the site a couple of years ago as we were staying at another cl in the area & I love aircraft, I was really looking forward to it but I was really disappointed as the pitches seemed to be on top of each other. It wasn’t for us.

It was one of the Smaller CL's we have been on, but in all honesty, once we were there and pitched up, it wasn't a problem and we didn't feel on top of each other. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy Camping, James 😁
