    Looks like a lot of hassle to me, great channel, not a great product am afraid. I will stick to my 40L barrel.

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate the feedback and understand that the Colapz 20 Litre Collapsible water barrel may not be for everyone. It's designed for those who need a more portable and space-saving solution, but I can see how a larger, traditional barrel might be more convenient for some and to be honest we will probably only use it occasionally and continue to use the Aqua roll. Glad to hear you enjoy the channel, and thanks for watching and happy camping, 😀

    I don’t get it for caravaners , 2 trips to get the same amount of water as an aquaroll, too much hassle with the trolley. I don’t see any space saving, I bet if you stand these 2 on top of each other they will be the same size as aquaroll. It’s a good idea for people with tents.

      Thanks for your comment! I understand your perspective. The Colapz 20 Litre Collapsible water barrel might require more trips compared to an aquaroll, but it's designed to be lightweight and compact, making it ideal for those with limited storage space or who prioritize portability. For caravaners, it might not offer the same convenience as a larger barrel, but it can be a great option for tent campers or those looking for a versatile solution. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and for watching the video! Happy Camping James

    Hi James
    Great Vlogg again looking forward to seeing the vloggs while your in France
    I would agree with most people it just looks like a lot of hassle for no real reward and filling the water once is bad enough twice i will be for ever going back and forth to the water tap 😂
    My 40 ltr stays in the caravan while travelling on its base so in reality not much room
    And if you want water in the car buy a big 5 ltr bottle

      Hi there, thanks for your support and feedback! I can see how the Colapz water barrel might seem like a hassle compared to the convenience of a larger, stationary tank like your 40L one. It’s true, filling it up multiple times can be a bit of a trek, especially on the go.
      For us, it’s been about finding a balance between space-saving and functionality, given our setup. It’s great to hear how you’ve optimized your caravan for travel with your 40L tank staying securely in place. As for carrying water in the car, a large 5L bottle definitely sounds like a straightforward solution!
      Everyone’s camping style and needs are different, and it’s discussions like these that help us all find what works best for our adventures. If you have any other tips or tricks you swear by while traveling, feel free to share! Looking forward to bringing you along on our French escapades soon. Thanks for watching and happy camping James

    Thanks James, we have the smaller fresh mini which works well for services pitches, but these look a lot of hassle over an aqua roll. Tells you something that the 20ltrs like yours aren’t on the Colapz site.

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts! You make a good point about the convenience of an aqua roll, especially for service pitches. We found the 20L collapsible barrel handy for its compact size during our travels, but it might not be ideal for everyone. As for its availability on the Colapz site, it could be due to stock availability or product updates. Who knows, Thanks for watching and commenting, Happy Camping James

    Agree with other comments. More trouble than they are worth. The trolley would be a nightmare on anything other than level flat ground, any incline would appear to see it topple over. As many others, good old Aquaroll for me.

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I understand your concerns about the trolley's stability on uneven ground. The Aqua roll definitely has a proven track record for reliability. Good review James, although I think I’m with the crowd on this one, il stick to my 2x aquarolls, other than the Colap’s ability to go flat, I don’t see as how they are an advantage, mainly as the somewhere to store said aqua roll is fastened to the back of the car 😂, I do use collapse stuff (drain pipes) and the watering can is a good idea but these I see as an answer to a problem that didn’t exist. Keep up the good work, love the vids,

      Hi Tom (and family),
      Thanks for your thoughtful comment and for being a regular viewer! I completely understand your point of view. The Colapz products do offer the benefit of being able to go flat, but I see how the traditional aqua rolls can be more practical, especially if you have a convenient storage solution on your car. I will probably use the Colapz Barrels when we are touring round France and we have one night quick stop overs. It sounds like you've found a system that works well for you. I appreciate your feedback and it's great to hear that you're enjoying the other Colapz products like the drain pipes and watering can. Thanks for the support and for watching the videos. I'll keep the content coming!. Happy Camping James

    Hi James, we have these and found they are great used them off grid at our annual truck feast weekend, and at a couple of fully serviced pitches since getting them, we have use them together or on there own, we love the colapz products, yes i had a problem with the wheels on the trolley, when it arrived but that was sorted after a chat with shaun at the show, we have now got rid of our big aqua roll, something less to carry when traveling, great vlog x

It’s great to hear that they’ve worked well for you, especially in different settings like off-grid events and serviced pitches. I’m glad Shaun was able to help with the trolley issue. It’s awesome that you’ve found a lighter and more convenient solution that works for you. Thanks for the kind words about the vlog, and happy Camping! 😊

    Hi James
    Saw you break the barrow on an earlier vlog
    We then saw them at the Colapz stand at the February show.
    Have to say I think they are a complete waste of time and money.
    1 aqua roll fills my onboard tank 1 trip to your 2 .2 trips I’ve 80 L of water your do 4 and as for that trolley ….. well saw you break it once and that was only building it up ….. Good luck tho but the old fashioned aqua roll wins every time 👍🏻

      Hi! Thanks for your comment and for following along with my vlogs. I understand your concerns and appreciate your perspective. The Colapz products are designed for portability and space-saving, which might not suit everyone's needs, especially if you're used to the convenience of a larger aqua roll. The incident with the trolley was unfortunate, but I'm glad to have shared an honest review of my experience. It's great to hear different viewpoints, and I appreciate you sharing yours. In all honesty, I wont be throwing out the Aqua Roll, I will probably use the Colapz for when we are traveling to France and we have one night stop overs or short weekends. Thanks for watching and for the good wishes!😀

    I do appreciate your honesty with your reviews! And I know you love your gadgets but...
    You say 'it's a solution to a problem' so what's the problem?
    We carry our empty aquarol in the lounge area where there's oodles of space and if we're going somewhere with no water, just put a bit in it and put it in the car (as we only have a teeny payload).
    I expect the reason you can't find it on the website is because no-one wants to buy it!
    In my opinion, Colapz seem to make a load of sexy looking stuff out of colourful plastic that no-one actually needs! Which just ends up as yet more landfill!
    Decent vlog, though! 😊

    • @CaravanEscapades101
      @CaravanEscapades101  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thanks for your honest feedback! I appreciate your perspective on the Colapz water barrel. The 'solution to a problem' I mentioned refers to its compact size and collapsible nature, which we will find handy on our French trips. We like to stop a lot and use the caravan, so like to have it clutter free to make it easy, For us this works, I am not sure I will ever get rid of the Aqa Roll. We will have to see how they fair on our French trip in a few weeks.
      It seems like you have a well-organized system with your aquarol, utilizing your lounge area effectively and managing your payload considerations cleverly.
      Your insights about the product’s availability and consumer demand are valid points. It’s possible that market preferences and practical considerations like payload affect product popularity.
      I’m glad you enjoyed the vlog, and I appreciate your engagement with our content. Thanks for watching and happy camping James

    Hi James, Never been abroad with the caravan but thought most of the sites were fully serviced. Knowing you favour your own onboard facilities, I’m surprised you didn’t simply opt for using your Truma waterline direct water hook up. Cheers, Rob😀.

      @CaravanEscapades101  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Rob, Its normally the main site in the south that is fully serviced and when there, we do use the Truma Direct System to connect straight into the caravan. However we tend to find the smaller sites that we stop at when traveling down are not fully serviced, So our thoughts behind this product was it would be ideal for those one night quick stops and we would not have to take the Aqua Roll 😀

    Hi James I too saw these at the show same time as you, I like them I have the 3 way watering can, bucket and the Trunk. However I have my doubts on their robustness, my Aquarolls are 25 yrs plus years old and I dragged a full one 10 miles to Liverpool Airport for Charity. ( in fact you can see me with it in my TH-cam photo) I don’t think they’ll compete with an Aquaroll for longevity. I can see the benefits for storing, my Aquarolls go under fixed bed in bags. I look forward to your reports on using them. I wish Colapz all the best with their ongoing product developments.

      Hi Colin, Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's impressive that your Aqua rolls has lasted over 25 years, and that's an amazing story about dragging it to Liverpool Airport for charity-kudos to you for that! I understand your concerns about the robustness of the Colapz products. They’re definitely designed with convenience and space-saving in mind, but only time will tell how they hold up in the long run. I'll definitely keep everyone updated with my experiences using them. I'm the odd one out here. I have a GoPod micro caravan and keeping bulky packing and weight down are priorities for me. Aquarolls look great but too big for my tiny van. I'm just looking for something with more capacity than my current basic oblong plastic container but as I only have a little sink and no shower then 20l sounds ideal. Shame it's disappeared from their website though. 😟

    • @CaravanEscapades101

      Thanks for sharing your perspective! Your GoPod micro caravan sounds like a fantastic setup for keeping things compact and lightweight. It makes complete sense that bulky packing and weight are priorities for you, especially with limited space.
      The Colapz 20L collapsible water barrel seemed like a promising solution for your needs, offering more capacity than your current container without taking up too much space. It’s unfortunate that it’s no longer available on their website; perhaps they’re updating their inventory or considering new options.
      It’s great to hear how you’re optimizing your setup for your micro caravan. If you have any other tips or discoveries that have worked well for you, I’d love to hear them. Happy travels with your GoPod! Thanks for watching and Happy Camping James

    Hi James Thanks for the update.
    I would love to have something like this in about a 30 litre barrel, reason being it would be brilliant for a serviced pitched where on does not want to run water direct to the van but still use a barrel
    brilliant idea but think they need to work it more.

      Hi! Thanks for your comment and suggestion. A 30 litre collapsible barrel sounds like a great idea, especially for serviced pitches where a direct water connection isn’t needed. I do know when Colapz came up with the original concept of this it was a 40l. I do believe they have an adaptor kit for it though where you can run it on a service pitch Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. All the best to you too & Happy Camping. 😀

Who Knows, Its actually not a bad product but just not practicable for regular caravan use and only good for specific requirements when related to caravans. For us it will be idea when heading to the south of France and used for the one night stop overs before we get to the main site that will be a serviced pitch. Thanks for watching and happy Camping. We have 2 of these, tried them. Ain’t nothing like the aquaroll. Carries smaller amount of liquid, filling two as opposed to one, trolley is fairly heavy, carry handle ain’t robust. Needs to be off ground in frost as there isn’t a stand to protect it. Thinner material absorbs the heat making drinking water warm from within the caravan. Am thinking poor purchase.

    • @CaravanEscapades101
      @CaravanEscapades101  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for sharing your experience with the Colapz barrels. It sounds like you’ve encountered some challenges, and I appreciate you bringing them up.
      Regarding capacity and convenience, it’s understandable that filling two barrels can be less convenient than one larger aquaroll. The weight and robustness of the trolley handle are crucial points-I agree that durability and ease of handling are important considerations for any portable water solution.
      The issue with the material absorbing heat is something we also noticed during warmer weather. It’s definitely a factor to consider, especially for maintaining cooler drinking water inside the caravan.
      Your feedback about needing a stand to protect the barrels from frost is valid. It’s unfortunate that this wasn’t included with the product, as it could significantly impact usability during colder months.
      Ultimately, every camping setup is unique, and what works well for one person might not for another. I’m sorry to hear it hasn’t met your expectations. If you haven’t already, I’d recommend reaching out to Colapz customer service about your concerns-they might have insights or solutions that could help improve your experience.
      Thanks again for sharing your thoughts-it’s valuable feedback for anyone considering these barrels for their own caravan escapades." :-) Thanks for watching and Happy Camping James
