This beat goes hard as hell
Awesome guide. Seems obvious in some ways, but literally having the exact samples you worked and being able to follow along was really helpful. Thanks for you time and contribution.
Thank you David! 😁
Thank you so much for the effort that you put into this! I received a PO as a gift and this helped me figure it out step-by-step. The flow felt a bit daunting at first but with this guide I feel like I'm getting the hang of it!
Stunning work! Both musically and visually
Thank you Axellowsky!
I love the po KO 33 I liked it so much I decided to get the novation circuit rhythm as its kinda the same work flow it even has the same sort of grid effects...I love record samples into the KO and taking with me as I go a walk so I can make beats as I go .. simple basic samplers are so fun u can actually make the po. Sound amazing if u record it into a multi track add eq compression ect I usually record it on two track and pan them both different to bring a little bit of stereo back into the mix
Very cool bro!! Thx for this! 🔥🔥🔥
Great video, my only comment is that you sometimes say the wrong number of the button you’re pressing because you’re reading it top down instead of bottom up (so you said 5 when it should have been 9 and 6 when it should have been 10, etc.) it definetly had me confused at first but when I watched your fingers I got what I was supposed to do. Other than that this is by far the best po33 tutorial I’ve seen so far
Lol I did not catch that at the time. Thank you Bossa Noah!
@@Mekazazzo I be doing the same thing since I started with these little things hahaha
I'm thinking about getting one of those third party cases for my PO, so I can't see the numbers. Because I can't stop reading them wrong! 😅
Are you serious?? I gave up because i thought mine was damaged or that I was dyslexic with seeing small text😂. NOW, I gotta give it another go
Super work. I'm going to need to follow that several times over as I've only recently got the po-33. Cheers. Lee
Very much appreciated Lee! Enjoy that Po33 🍻
Nice one!!!
You're getting them fire samples! Hell yeah! Still gonna watch the full video, but it's sounding good already
Hahaa you already know 😁 Thank you
KO is the greatest sampler ever lol
Top notch my friend!!! Got me searchin high n low for that sample!!!!
Lol thank you smobstar! Its a great sample 😁
Dope 🔥🔥🔥
Thank's very good beat vers good tuto 💯💯💯
Liked the video.
Beat is Fiya !!!!!
Thank you for the like Philstir 🙏
Thanks for that drum diagram at about 2:30 into the video. I've got no musical talent or knowledge at all. It's quite overwhelming knowing where to start with learning any musical knowledge as well! So it's useful to have that drum pattern to experiment with building on.
Glad it helped! I hope your getting the hang of it
The production value in this tutorial is phenomenal, keep it up! Love from one YT creator to another - SUBBED!
@Will Hatton Thank you for dropping in to show support. I put a lot of focus into the production so it is a much appreciated comment!
@@Mekazazzo I'll be keeping a keen eye on future episodes, can't wait!
@@Mekazazzo great video
l love it!
Very much appreciated Andy ✌🏼
First, I love this tutorial, where you actually show how to sample and give us something to sample. All the other tutorials talk over what they sample, or edit something out assuming the viewer knows what's happening. Super easy to follow along. I have a question, after you copy into 5 and trim for the bass drum, you move to 6 and trim for the hi-hat. When I do that the entire sample trims to the hi-hat and and I lose the trim in 5. Is there a step I'm missing?
Very nice
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was an awesome tutorial! Thank you so much. I followed along through the end
Glad to hear that! Thank you for commenting, I’ll have to do more of these later 🤙
🔥👂🏾🔥
💎✨👌
I was thinking about getting one of these, but ultimately i decided to focus on saving up to get a MPC for once and for all. I still need some kind of studio monitor (I'm thinking about getting a BT speaker because I don't have a dedicated space for my workstation and it would also double down as a speaker for family use) and a decente headset since I'm using my PS4 ones.
But i would like to get my hands on one of these calculators
Yeah the MPC One can do so much for its size, its def worth every penny! Awhile back, I moved into an apartment and couldn’t use my monitors, my best investment was the Audio Technica ATH-M50x Studio Headphones. Out of all the headphones I ever used, they have the most accurate and clear sound which make it super easy to mix. I still use them now even while gaming. BT speakers are cool too but they won’t be accurate for mixing since they usually add extra bass, either way have fun with it! Its the music that matters
@@Mekazazzo thanks for the tip! I was thinking about getting a pair or Sony's that very well reviewed (MDR 7506) but I'll look into those too. The One is the main contender, but since I'm still in the platonic stage of the saving up,by this time either are an option. My main goal is to be able to use it in the couch at the end of the work day,so either are ok,even if the live 2 has speakers. also the live is too big to be comfortable on the couch next to my wife :D
Btw,what headset did you get? There are 2 the normal one and the BT one. The normal one is on sale atm :D
@@PeteOnTheBeat I have the wired pair, I didn’t even know they had a BT version 🤯
Just a friendly reminder to keep your thumbs well clear if you aren't pressing buttons. Sometimes you make little anticipatory movements and it confuses this newbie. It makes me have to rewind and decipher. Also more narration of your every move would be helpful. That sounds like thankless criticism but honestly I'm very thankful for this video and just trying to help you understand what's tough on our end.
Garrett thank you for the feedback, no offense taken. I’ll keep that in mind on the next one!
How do you write different drum sounds within the pattern but they all are stored in the same slot? Here the kick snare and hats are all in slot 9 but the drums are all on different buttons within slot 9
Watching this...just really made me happy to know i bought records for a reason
EDIT!:
I wake up some days with this song on my mind, please where's the official release??
Nice video. How did you figure out the BPM of the samples you used?
Damn! This is some next level stuff right here! 🤩🤩🔥🔥🤩🤩
P.S Gotta sub the brotha for this one!👌🏽
Thank you Shamar 😁
What was that drum sample? Such a clean break!
Yeah it is! Got it from an old Allen Toussaint record
1:53 copy
2:30 pattern
4:15 chop 3
6:09
7:13
*What’s* the artists name and song title for the first sample, please! Can’t figure it out!
tight! so i have to know the BPM of the sample before i put it in?
So do you max out your sound when sampling into or medium or low
Usually medium, as long as its not clipping
I've watched so many of these, I only hope the tiny manual helps...
how do you replace patterns!?
You mean overwriting patterns with something new or the sample it self?
0:50
1:19
1:28
so fdope
No sample snitching, just that that sample is so 🤌🔥
Only if they would have put a reverse button
you had to explain better, in the part of creating the loop in drum
i made data pack with this for po-33
How and can I hear them
Simple. Well I could not chop the samples anywhere near of something good sounding😢 way to go...
Sure you can! Just have fun with it ;) thanks Abag!
Imagine wht J DILLA could've done with this machine. RIParadise
I couldn't understand anything brother, try to be clearer I speak Portuguese
