    On the mpc 1000 in the mode trim section you can change your samples from stereo to mono, I'd be surprised if the newer mpc didn't do the same

  • @lucianodetz9580
    @lucianodetz9580 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thx man! Very useful. I have a question about the part you explained you try to keep your drums mono and later on widen it out int you daw. For me I like to do the mixing in the mpc as well. Do I need to widen all the drums up during my mixing proces with the same plugin (stereo widener) as I first make it mono with the same as well? Thx in forward, Peace!

    • @Mekazazzo
      @Mekazazzo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well on the MPC there isn’t a whole lot of control when your widening it like you would with an actual daw but if you have no choice, you can try doing what you mentioned, run that plug in on the master track as well, give it a small delay (0.2 - 0.9) and widen the highs and mids a little. I’d probably keep the low end mono to keep it tight. Thanks for the comment! 🤘🏼

  • @davidscott2095
    @davidscott2095 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Loved the beat, Mekazazzo. Simple, but great. Sometimes less is more! I really enjoyed how much time you invested in getting the drums to sound tight. It seems the more you do on the front end, the less you will have to do on the back end, once you export to your daw, in terms of mixing. I do have a quick question: When you were editing the end point of the sample, each time you turned one of the q-links, there is like this "strip" that pops up and it really obstructs the view of when you are trying to edit the end portion of the sample. Is there a way to disable that "strip/pop-up" so that you can clearly see the ending point of the sample using the q-link? Thank you kindly. Have a Happy New Year and thank you for the content. Blessings!

    • @Mekazazzo
      @Mekazazzo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey whats up David, Thank you! Yes, quality of quantity forsure as long as things are mixed right. I wasn’t 100% happy with the mix on this but it felt tight enough. I agree, mixing as you go is the way to do it! As for the Q-link menu, yes you can hide it under the general sittings, disable “Show Q-link Status When Touched”. Thanks for taking the time to watch. Happy New Years and happy holidays!

    • @Mekazazzo
      @Mekazazzo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sample is very spacious and he didn't add more samples or a lead or counter melody so it didn't require being moved into a certain frequency range. Additionally the sample sounds good as is he didn't need to go wild on the flip.

    • @Mekazazzo

  • @faceitnow3473
    @faceitnow3473 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    How can a newbee get any hands on training when you make videos like this. I have watched MANY videos where they are moving so fast and or waving their hands in front of the camera and the screen. There is no way a newbee can understand what you are doing when you make a video like WE are supposed to already know this stuff. Even AKAI says there are plenty of videos online. YEAH but they are way to fast and they should be very slow and precise. That is how people learn. I know it is not your job to teach us. It is a hands on experience. But please SLOW down and be more explanatory. I have watched ONE video that was a big help and the guy even used a pointer to be sure his hands were not blocking the screen. Very slow and very good. No offence to you. But these things need to be thought out in advance. In your video the hands were NOT so much of a problem but the quickness and the fast forwarding is of no help at all SORRY! But thanks anyway.

    • @p0is00n_ivy
      @p0is00n_ivy 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      bruh this isnt a tutorial
      its showing how his workflow is
      meaning this is how fast he normally goes while making a beat
      meaning hes not working on your time
      hes working on his time
      if you watch actual tutorials they go way slower
      chill out with the paragraphs man
