We used to talk about how Ebenholz's biggest flaw in his kit is the inability to store charged attacks after the initial shot - well that hasn't change, it is just compensated by the introduction of Necrosis Damage to his mechaincs.
Overall, the longer the fight goes, the more advantage this module has over the previous ones. In fact, this module is so beyond X and Y, it is almost terrifying.

Can’t wait for Eben’s 4th module to be released.
Who would've thought the way to go with Eben was making him not depend on the clunky charge system of his archetype.
Now rather than being a one trick pony, his charges sinergize and benefit his other tools for dealing damage (the pseudo true damage DoT and his attack buffs coming from both the Elemental fallout and the enemy being alone)
So what I'm getting from this is:
X Mod for Single-Target OHKOs
Y Mod for Multi-Target/AoE
Delta Mod for elongated battle
at a glance i read elongated as edgelord battle
Hoping for thorns, blue poison, puzzle and ethan to have elemental damage, i mean eben got a third module so it’s possible for 5-4 star to get second mods
The 4 star will probably remain at 1 module
meanwhile 5 star will probably get the 2 and possibly like Rathalos S Noir where they might add new talent for each operators that equip the 2nd module
Lemme reclarify that i mean by getting the 2nd module they will have new talent

Bro, Thorns 1st Talent 'Nerve Corrosion' is literally the same name as the Elemental Damage 'Nervous Impairment'
He should deal that Elemental Damage with his ∆ Module or we riot

Do you think this module will become stronger as more methods of elemental damage are added or weaker if elemental resistance presumably becomes a thing?
As is elemental damage isn't something too egregious to have to include resistance to. But the system is implemented so it can be inferred that things would change for the worse. Still, for now, we feast
it seems that now there is "elemental resistance" as a statistic, although most of the enemies have 0 in this statistic.
If they suddenly apply E-RES attribute to ALL the existing enemies it will be kinda shafted. Other than that I think it's only going to get stronger

Elemental Damage may be the dawn of a new era. There can be a lot of potential from this, such as a unit stronger than Surtr, or Surtr module with Burn Damage.

I'm not sure what this means tbh. Brawlers were just always super cheap units that do decent for their cost. Mountain continued that trend, but he's actually not just decent at what he does, but rather great.

Something I'd like to know about the Zeta mod on Eben:
4:38 How much is Necrosis damage affected by timing your attacks? Would necrosis damage increase in value if you saved Eben S3 for when the boss's elemental bar is almost empty? (if Eben uses his S3 right before the Necrosis damage ticks in, does the extra damage stack higher than attacking normally?)

Thorns module would increase talent 1 poison damage and also cause sluggish & ASPD down

They really need to add a few Ele-module to existing operator, if they not, then there will be Sniper with Ele-module that reduce def or Caster for res.
More importantly. Ele-module for Frostleaf. The best kind of buff.
at this point, Forestleaf need an alter to fix her. i don't even think ele-module can help her kit.

Module looks great and it’s nice to have a clear winner here, should I happen to pull an Eben in the future and don’t want to completely break the bank.
That being said: at this point, what are the use cases for X and Y at this point? Surely they can’t be strictly worse in all respects… right??
I've picked mod Y not long ago and now I wonder if I should go further to lvl 3 or wait until they release mod ∆ on global. I understand that mod Y could be helpful in different situations but still...
Depends i guess. Mod delta is a clear winner in terms of damage, but if we talk about general use the one that turn him into pseudo splash caster still has value.
Mod x will become more niche, as it has higgest one shot potential. If you see boss with similar mechanic and health to steam knight you can use him there.
The 1st is for one shot and the second is for more aoe. It's very clear.
Do u think Necrosis Eben work vs Sanguinarch? Or Arturia did a much much better job 🤔?
It’s better to use both. Eben can build nercosis as well as Arturia, but Eben capitalized off elemental state better than Arturia as he will do bonus Elemental damage base on how much damage he deals.
Using Arturia to fully build Necrosis and then use Eben charges will maximize your damage output compared to building it with Eben by wasting his stored charge.
Would it be worth it to graph the damage over time between the different modules at certain res thresholds, rather than just look at the total damage? Looking at the Patriot showcase in particular, at least without additional support the 'edge' of elemental damage only started near the end of his first s3, which doesn't seem as much an improvement (or at least justify the investment) if I just use other operators to deal the rest of the damage at the same time.
Even if the total damage is clearly a lot higher over a full or even multiple s3's, I'm also unsure if the situation where an enemy can even survive that long comes up often enough to warrant the investment compared to or on top of his other modules. There's a lot more elite enemies than bosses after all that he can easily dispatch and in very quick succesion, where his other modules I believe would help more.
Additionally, if this module makes him focus on the 'keep attacking enemies' part for prolonged damage over time instead of the big frontload burst, I'm unsure if he can outmatch those casters that don't have that frontload but do also deal a large amount of damage over time like Eyja or Ceobe, especially when their own res-ignore modules come into play.
All in all it's certainly an interesting module in isolation that boosts his boss-killing potential, but when you look at the bigger picture I'm not yet convinced it is worth the investment. Hindsight will be 20/20 here, I suppose.

wait, if Elemental damage become a thing. Silverash and Kjerag operator might become the premier freeze team of the game. come on, Silverash has been powercrept, he NEEDS a module, but his talent is well kinda hard to buff, one of them is anyway. how do you buff his reveal enemy invis? the only thing i can see it worth anything is that he can just straight up delete enemy invis GLOBALLY by just existing. the other one i can see it pretty much just more atk percent and reduce more deployment time.
I'm curious, in a scenario where eben can't charge his attack, which would be better? Ceobe with module or eben with module delta?
Doesnt that depend on the enemy's defense stats tho
@@NotDavidz tbh, i'm not quite sure. Because the necrosis damage looks really strong that i think it would make Ceobe cry in the corner. Even with 1000 def enemies with 0 res
@@kevtan4186 Thats only because up until now no mob/boss has E RES. If it gets more common in the future it might be back to square one for him.

depends, but either Y or Delta, Y has disposal of side enemies and quicker prep if the boss or elite has a invun phase or untergetable or just pure Delta damage

Y3 does still have some slight CC in the aoe that it can do, so if you like using Ebenholz, then it's still a decent one to use in some situations. However, I'm now retroactively cringing that I built X3, as the excuse of it being the single-target module is now far overtaken by Delta being outright better for now.
I mean both X and Y still have their merits.
X still has the highest damage potential in one single hit
Y can still be used if you wanna make Eben to be a pseudo Eyjafjalla with S2 (being a single target cast that can also hit aoe)
and Delta is to use him against units that he wouldnt be able to one shot with X mod fully charged

I have him max pot E2 lvl 90 M3 X3 Y3 and going to max delta as well but i'll never be at peace since Lingering Echoes ending and the epilogue in his op records :'3
So what's the use cases for the 4 charges mod now, then?
I guess it can be better if it allows you to kill smaller elites in one hit, if you would have needed two with the ∆ module but right now it looks like there are few uses for it.
It might become more useful when we'll get enemies with elemental resistance.

At release, I kinda dislike him due to his balls. But as time passes, his versatility have increased significantly.
This new mechanic means there will be more intractable ops to buff Elemental damage, and seeing how new and niche this mechanism, means enemy that able to "resist" Edmg will either be very minuscule, or just another lappland unsilenceable syndrome again.
Overall great buff for depresso boy.
