🙋♂Hi Vlad! My issues with this tablet are the cost, no Wacom support the proprietary stylus and nibs, no Android support and the screen flashing when using colors will be annoying to me. This is mostly for the die hard reMarkable fanbase and those who require a focused note-taking device. Thank you for sharing your views and can't wait for your review on this tablet. Kudos from NYC🗽.
Yep, we know it’s for us die hards, similarly as the Supernote Fan Boys will be getting the A5X2 when it’s released. I’m a dual user and have rM2, A5X, and A6X2 and I have a use case for all three.
Thanks for the video. Think that more reviewers should point out the UI and organizational aspects of the different tablet as you did in the end. Especially important for those about to get their first e-note device. From the videos I watched Supernote really seems to be on another level with headlines, table of content, searching handwritten text and PDF digest. If reMarkable Paper Pro would have those features and high quiality pens I would probably have pulled the trigger already, but now I kind of want to wait and see what the A5X2 will bring to the game.
Hope it was helpful, I just like showing people what else is out there for first time buyers. There are so many good options now, and each one has its merits for different types of notetakers.
I have this added to my cart but haven’t pulled the trigger yet because of cost-and the lack of a good search option. I’m also concerned about people complaining about the feel of the stylus against the screen. I don’t want another iPad type feeling
@@MyLifeInTheDesert it has a 100 day free return... It's massive and unheard of.. You csn use the device for 3 full months and return it no questions asked if you dont like it.
Let's consider this. Yes the black may not be 300 PPI like on kaleido 3 but the color is definitely not 150 It's definitely the higher number. But think about it ..it's nearly 12" and good color.
This thing is basically exactly what I was looking for (E-ink color device purely for taking and reading notes) but the screen is a deal breaker for me. It's not just the refresh rate, the visual artifacts on nearly every interaction are something I don't think I could get used to. I'm surprised most people seem to consider the screen a step-up from Kaleido 3, I certainly don't.
I think for basic notetaking or PDF viewing the rMPP screen could be an upgrade. For android E Ink tablet's, Kaleido 3 is certainly more apt for that just because it is faster.
October 2024. Bought a remarkable pro and a current Kindle scribe to keep one. My use case is Journaling and creating to do lists for work. Scribe is way better to write, feels much like paper. Remarkable seems a bit more premium but it is very slow and you can't search for hand written notes; it is heavy too. To me, Scribe is much better for quick notes and Journaling. Two main pros of Remarkable Pro are the large screen if you use it on a table and the colors.
Great video and thank you for creating it. A well detailed video explaining in detail the features and what the tech actually is and how it works to lead to the benefits to the user. Specifically about the tech of the layers of screen and the stylus’s. The actual writing on a paper and pen replacement is the most feature for me. Great video based on real detailed information rather than “ in my opinion I like it because “ weak content videos. Thank you
@@VladimirKostek I have a 2 and will back to back against the Pro to see which I prefer. I will let you know as a user of both if you want. Hi Hi Vlad arrived today and I instantly like it. The writing is more fluid like real ink from a pen, multi colour, bigger screen, control of back light and the key board folds away so easily … it feels even higher quality. In my opinion a real step up. Expensive yes but consider it the Ferrari of ink tablets
great review man! this has helped to really reflect if I need this device or not. Because the hype around this is strong right now and the urge is really high to buy it. But now I've kinda calmed down a bit :D Well, let's see if I end up with one or not.
Excellent video. I'm convinced it is a good device if you need something that has color and they need to be more vibrant. Otherwise, I just prefer black and white.
@@VladimirKostek yeah, I just hope it is more than just images. If they don't at least include pre-orders this month a lot of people are going to go crazy on Reddit. I just think of how cool my A5X would be with Carta 1300.
My only concern is the speed of scrolling and zoom in & out in this new reMarkable As I have to move from page to page very often, I need it to be quickly response Can you make an additional video about this please? Thank you
I will certainly be making more content on it when mine arrives. From what I've seen it looks better than the rM2 due to upgraded internals. I'll certainly keep this in mind and show that aspect of it!
With color and that size range this is definitely it. The A4 sizes are bigger but are black and white. Only other one I can think of is the fujitsu quaderno a4 gen 3 with kaleido 3, but those aren't the easiest to get
Youve got to really want color to get this product imho. I was thinking i wanted it because it looked cool, and my partner gave me reality check. She said i should review my notebooks in the past and whether i have used color throughout... I did, and not one did i use different colors. I did go from blue to black etc... but not becuase i wanted the different color. So im thinking i may pass on this, although this looks cool.
If you like the titanium or ceramic on RM2, I think you will like the writing feel. I got my RMpp on tuesday, I think I like the writing feel. need more time...
Good to hear you are liking the feel! Can't wait to try it, although that will be a bit because I'm gone for a week and a half haha. How are you enjoying the color?
One way to get past that $2.99 a month fee being a sticking point with people is to add features to the app that you can't do on the linux-based tablet. One such feature would be the ability to add pictures to your notebooks in the mobile or computer app without having to take it out of the remarkable universe.
Wow, I expected a lot more given all the hype in the comments. It’s honestly not that impressive. The pen technology feels like a step backward, especially since it needs a battery, and the screen seems like it's still experimental. Honestly, the best thing about Remarkable is the marketing...I'm keeping my Boox Note Air 3c.
@VladimirKostek right those were the only 2 features missing in my opinion. Im currently using my remarkable as we speak. The price tag on this was a little shocking. And to pay 1k and then have to wait so long for it to arrive is crazy to me
@@VladimirKostek Then the only issue for me is the question of that tapping and screen sensation when writing, I already have ipad with paperish protector, so if this new screen and pen gives a similar initial contact then I'll probably go for a go 10.3, although I've been crying out for something that has a bit more room.
@callmedeno It does have a slight tap, I'm still not determined if it bothers me enough... time will tell. FYI the ai paper and A5 X2 are 10.65" which while isn't much bigger is nice. I'm hoping boox will annountmrsome larger devices tmrw 🙏
Actually I'm thinking about changing to a supernote device. I waited for a Remarkable 3 for a long time to replace my RM2 from 2020. But what came out is ... fantastic, but does not apply to my needs. Sure, colour is nice, reading comics, magazines, making the notes look like rainbows. But what about text crispness, contrast and resolution? What about the darker background? What about the dark blue black? But I love the remarkable ecosystem, the apps and how it sychronizes. Can Supernote compete with that?
But I would never buy a A5X2 that looks like the existing A6X2! It's a piece of plastic compared with a remarkable and looks like the version 1 from 2017. That would be too much of a downgrade.
Hopefully the rM3 will come out next year as just an upgraded b&w notetaker. The supernote app is pretty good, not as good as reMarkables but they've made some good progress with updates on it.
such a pity you can now go on the internet with You Tube etc. Really would have loved the courage of these companies to improve quality without turning the device into a laptop lite.
