Actually, the intro cutscene for Yoshi's island is still in the GBA version. As long as you don't push anything after you turn on the Game Boy, you'll see it. You probably pressed A too fast and skipped it.

@@justsomerando4905 Mario Kart 64 had a very different voice never used again by Toad, it was cheeky with no raspy-ness. The Japanese Mario Kart 64 had Toad speak with the same voice for Mario Party 1, 2, & 3. Personally, I loved both of these Toad versions a lot, and thought it would've been a great way to differentiate the Toads, from sizes to shapes to personalities.

The reason Mario Bros was included in all 4 Mario Advance games, as well as Superstar Saga, is because of multiplayer.
All 5 cartridges are compatible with each other.

Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario Bros. 2's graphics are very similar to Super Mario All-Stars.
I'm surprised they didn't port over SMB1 from SM All-Stars.
It would have made a lot more sense if SMB1 was Super Mario Advance 1.

I think the reason is because SMB1 already got a port, but it was on the Game Boy Color, titled Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. Severe screen crunch aside, it was a rather faithful recreation of the original game, but had a LOT of bonus content, which included: the ability to play SMB2 Lost Levels, to play the VS. Mode in single-player via You Vs. Boo, and a Challenge Mode where you had to get a high score, 5 Red Coins, and a hidden Yoshi Egg in each Level to win. Heck, it even had Game Boy Printer compatibility if that means anything to you!

These remakes actually are really great and definitely deserve more attention. It's still silly how they don't get much attention.
Yeah, they’re really underrated, but I would probably only play Mario Advance 1 and 4 because for 2 and 3, I would just play the originals at that point.

Super Mario Advance 4 has a glitch that is amizing for speedruns called "the super push" made by pushing left and right at the same time and you will shoot right really fast, plus the jump height is bigger and holding the run button will make it go twice speed and twice jump height of the glitch. Too bad it doesn't work in other Mario games
