    Hello sir, in my 12 storied model, I have done a dynamic analysis according to UBC 94, but response spectrum results are not showing, modal results are not showing in the result part, in other models it works perfectly but in this particular building model the response spectrum load cases Rx & Ry not showing. Can you tell me what's the problem?

    Sir, in RSA case, why the load cases accelerations are applied in U1 and U2??? I know we do not need to apply in Z directioin thats why U3 is not assigned. But what about the remainings R1, R2??

    Sir i wanted to ask that...
    After applying eqx and y do we need to analyze first or along with response spectra we need to analyze together..
    My problem is after analyzing with eqx i will get some base shear...and when i apply RSA and then analyze my eqx base shear is reducing to half of original

      If mass source is same for both analysis, then base shear will also be same.

    when the base shear value is different in x dir and y dir then for RS value to be scaled after analysis . what should be taken factor value E/RS ? As both value are different . please reply

      Check new videos uploaded as per IS code. Following US Code we can do similar combinations.

    If I want to proceed with design, would I have to create different load combinations for Response Spectrum? Based on your experience, does response spectrum analysis give better results than static? If it does give better results, how about like 3 storey buildings? I know I should read more articles which I will. But it would be helpful if you can give me some information. Thank u.

      RSA is not for small buildings. It's applicable for high rise buildings where seismic effect is very significant.

      @@Dawnga_123 Response spectrum analysis Is applapplicable for irregular structure greater than 20m and regular structure greater than 75m.

      Fundamental Time Period. It's taken as example. You have to calculate it using height of structure (CtxH^x)

      @@Decodebd sir there are 3 formulas in UBC 97 .. in those formulas if we select for RCC structure then they have given 2 values for ct = .03(.071) which value we have to take .. ??? .03 or.07 ..

      ETABS is not good for Steel Shed. You can you SAP2000 for steel shed.
