I found this randomly a week ago when I didn't even have 4 dungeons yet. I was so excited and I thought that it was a secret, but then I realized it was a main quest
Yeah it would've been cool If it had been a missable secret
It was the first Sage I did actually
I did it too. I purposely though stopped putting the body back together on one limb left so I can finish it right when I get through the other parts of the story
Same I did that yesterday, I realised it all to late
She was the 2nd sage I completed the first being tulin
I found this one on accident, I was literally gliding through the storm in the dark and landed on an island when i started this quest I was in literal awe as it played out, it was so mystical and mysterious
i didnt know you could open the vitality door but i have the shrine already and 3 out of 4 sages but i want to do a lore accurate playthrough so i won't skip yet
I did the same thing haha
That was my experience too. On a whim I decided to explore the islands in the storm. It was very tricky not being able to see anything. THEN I stumbled across the vitality door with just enough hearts to open it. It was the most exciting adventure I’ve had playing the game.
lore acurate link on his way to accidentally seal away every single drop of darkness ACIDENTALLY
I had the same experience! lol. I spent days trying to get to the thunder islands just because it felt like they didn't want me to. Next thing I knew I found some weird mask and a cool mysterious quest unfolded. I thought for sure I uncovered an undiscovered area of the game! lol
I also need to give you props, I feel like I've been playing through this amazing game with you, your ability to play through this game and churn out guide content is unparalleled. Big sites with huge teams of people can't compete with you, I total respect the grind. You are a good dude and deserve all the success that life brings you. 😊
thanks Big Tone. Becasue i ONLY focus on these 2 franchises, I can put a lot more time and effort into researching and coverage instead of being torn away by other games. It definitely limits my reach here on YT, but for the people that LOVE the games I cover, we have that in common, and I want to be your resource. ya know?
@@AustinJohnPlays ABSOLUTELY LOVE your content and the videos you pump out for the TH-cam community and viewers. Was wondering have you played or would you play Hollow Knight? Also I'm getting cult of the lamb tomorrow! Awesome vids keep up the great work!! 👍
@@AustinJohnPlaysWhat armour are you wearing? I might need it to help with the fight lol 😂
@@AustinJohnPlayshello! I have a really important question. Trying to beat the game without the paraglider. When I interact with the mask it just says “ it doesn’t feel like the right time to be here” or something like that. I wonder if that is a thing Nintendo has fixed or if I’m doing something wrong? If I am going to talk to purha it just gives me the paraglider. Please I need to know.😅 can’t find anyone mentioning this.
Please answer
This game…. It’s just amazing. I finished regional phenomena and the game sent me to Hyrule Castle and I just knew I was headed to the castle to defeat Ganondorph and beat the game…boy was I wrong! There was so much more to do! What an amazing storyline. This game is masterly written and I’m praying they’ll drop a DLC with even more content.
SO DID I BUT THEY NEVER DID 😭 THEY SID THE GAME DOESN'T NEED IT
Nintendo have already announced there’s no plan to release DLC for TOTK. They consider the game perfect as it is
@@dnkys That is too bad. One of the things I really liked about "Immortals Fenyx Rising", was the daily/weekly missions after beating the game. Some were repetitive, but kept me playing and earning coins for character upgrades. A lost opportunity for ToTK.
Bro, thank you for this! I am now supposed to head to now head to Hyrule and see what's going on with the princess, but I have held off thinking that that is close to finishing the game, so I just have been doing a bunch of Side Quests and Side Adventures and finding shrine before I go. Now, I know. Awesome!
I dont know masterfully written its an amazing action adventure game but the story was pretty poorly written with plotholes everywhere noticing shotty writing as i kept playing the game
I absolutely skipped all of this before seeing the Zelda event at the castle. I was curious about the storm islands and I wanted to get the shrines as a teleport point. Then I saw the door and said "oh that seems important"
Fun seeing everyone's reaction when I said that I already found the 5th sage, and Ganon's location, and had the MS
My brother had the same situation!
@@noahpokeemon6503 I love games where we can do this.
I loved Morrowind for this same reason, even though the graphics are so ass.
For anyone watching and struggling with the fight, link can use his bow and I found ice chuchu jellies to be really helpful :)
BRO THANK YOU FOR THIS TIP
THANK YOU SO MUCH
I’m reading through comments and I’m so surprised by how many of us did this quest on accident 😂😂 i didn’t even know what it was leading me to.. it’s one of the things I love about this game
I literally finished this and the associated dungeon today an hour back, after discovering it completely by accident. It was so fun (well except using the mineru construct which is so slow and clunky). I finished the dungeon even though I have only done the wind and fire temple so far other than this.
Did they show the cutscene of her and Zelda after? I’m super curious I did the dungeons in order and spirit temple was my 5th dungeon. That would be kinda spoilery if they showed it early
@@kswitch87 they did, and I hadn’t done any of the tears before that point. So I honestly didn’t understand what was really happening. But it was kind of out of context so once I saw all the tears and realized where it was in the lineup, things clicked in place. I was still totally shocked about the last tear cut scene
@lizziev4510 how did you get there without doing the other 4? I though it was locked until then?
Me too I found it by accident even got scare jajaja
Austin is so watchable compared to other TH-camrs I’ve beat the game but still watch almost every video. There’s something so satisfying about his videos. Keep up the good work Austin
I randomly rode a recall block in Faron and devided to just try and go into Thunderhead Isles, i grabbed the tiny tip at the bottom of dragonhead and was able to ascend up directly in front of the shrine.
I stumbled on the whole thing in an epic fashion
Same no joke lol
So did I, it was awesome
Where is the specific place on the map
for those navigating the depths 'unlit'... bring up you map, switch to overworld, then exit map back to game. The mini map will stay on the overworld, giving you a sense of the navigation through the depths
That’s actually how I navigated through the sand shroud in Gerudo.
Thank you SO so much Austin for doing these videos!! I already finished the game, and like many other people, I've encountered Mineru's quest by accident and decided to randomly go for it - but watching your walkthrough is so relaxing; no random screams or unnecessary information, I really like the idea of reliving the whole thing again through your videos! You make them not too long but not too short, and your voice is indeed very nice to listen to (plus, your jokes do make me snort from time to time lol)
Honestly one of my favorite things to attach to the construct is a spring. The results are hilarious.
Do you place it on the back or arms?
@@Supergamesniper9 arms
Found this by accident while exploring the sky. Didn’t have enough hearts so I started looking for more shrines before coming back. Don’t realize it was the 5th spirit but very cool watching this in order.
Same... only I was so new game I kept getting killed so I abandoned her underground and figured I'd come back when I had some armour & weapons
I'd love a video going over the uses and durability of Mineru's attachments. She can glide with a balloon on her back
i would love a video going over that as well
It’s crazy the amount of content they put into this game it’s like never ending! And I love it
6 7 years you would think so
I really appreciate you having the awareness to not spoil any of the main storyline stuff. I watch your videos not while playing so I have context of how to do stuff when I am playing but don’t exactly want to know what to expect.
I’ve been waiting on this boss after being killed 8 times. Tried your method and was done within 5 minutes😭 I can’t thank you enough- I’m glad I found your channel
Thank you Austin John!! I've been watching along and playing outside running a restaurant atm, I literally go back and rewatch your videos while I'm on break from work bc how you talk and guide us is so lovely to listen to. It's been so much easier to enjoy this game in my own time and not rush through (thanks again for the don't spoil yourself note on the master sword vid!) and go to your channel when I've gotten stuck on things bc you don't spoil things or give us adequate warning to stop watching. You do so good, love your work, deeply respect the grind when new games launch 💛
I love how all of these body part puzzles can be done in a variety of ways. For example, I just used a hydrant to create platforms from the lava for the body part that needs to cross the lava, and created an extremely long bridge that I moved from the first section to the second.
Love these multiple solution scenarios
Thanks for the videos
I love this mans personality and how he makes everything seem fun. in other ytber videos they just cut the boring parts but for Austin he just makes the boring parts fun with his personality and the way he plays the game.
Austin, I just wanted to thank you for all the outstanding content you create. I have been having such a fun time playing Scarlet/Violet and TOTK along with your videos.
Not always the same section, sometimes for enjoyment/company since I usually am home with just myself and pets. Love your humor, your skills top tier, and I appreciate you making videos for everyone no matter how they play the game. I hope you have a fantastic day, and thanks for being you!
I was completely thrown off guard when he said "wow mineru your body is so slippery"
I loved this part of the main story. It was so much fun and such a cool change compared to the other temples.
I've watched every video you've put out for totk( some twice) I've done majority of the stuff myself but still tune in to see what I could have done differently or possibly missed! Thanks for all your hard work giving us all the useful info! Wouldn't have found thoes beetles without you
I love the freedom you get in this, I always tried to figure out how they wanted you to do all these puzzles...and then cheesed them all with floating platforms and rockets anyway because it was amusing. Thanks for the video!
LoL😂😂😂 over here we have a tiny lil elevator.... WOW that is a tiny lil elevator... I'm going to chuckle about that all day
Lol I also already did this but enjoy watching these videos.
I actually watch these while cooking etc as a comfort thing.
As someone who’s already done this and is just watching for fun. I really enjoy seeing how you solved the puzzles and seeing if i did something similar or completely different
This has been such an enjoyable series, thank you so much for putting so much into it in such a short period. I look forward to when you come back from a much deserved break.
I never would have figured any of these puzzles out w/o Austin John. I don’t know how you do it. Amazing. Thank you.
I did the same exact thing you mentioned before about the island going in blind with the storm still being up. Did the entire thing before clearing out the storm just like you. I come for the commentary on the game and just listening to your thoughts and witty quips. Hell to this day i still watch your trial of the sword video as filler noise when ever i am doing something else. That video helped me so much finish off that thing and now its one of my go to videos when i need just something to listen
So you’ve basically single handedly made my glorious 200 hours in this world an amazing adventure spoiler free so thanks so much because the story to me was a masterpiece
My kids are constantly watching walkthroughs and I found yours to be the most enjoyable. I was wondering about this location and was unsure how you begin this mission, so thanks for posting.
I truly appreciate the time and dedication you put into these videos. If I'm stuck in any way you're the first source I look to for answers. Thank you.
i did mineru's entire section as my third dungeon, heck i've beat the game already but im just watching because this man here is entertaining and good at walking people through things
I just want to say thank you so much for your vids! To be fair, I only tried to take out the construct once before coming here, but that first time ended in tragedy and entailed a TON of expletives. I did what you said, and was done so quickly with no naughty words being shouted.
Anyway, thanks, you rock.
A few days ago, i had Tulin and Riju, and i was in the midst of trying to get Yunobo. I was taking a break and was trying to find the Dondon's and the stable near it. A piece of sky island fell down and i took it up. I ended up accidentally on the sky island with the shrine and was able to get in, and Mineru started to talk to me. It was a total accident that i started the quest. I did not finish it till just today because i wanted to finish getting Yunobo and Sidon. Oh, and not to spoil anything, but there is a hint of a certain theme from a previous game that brought a tear to my eye. I had to go listen to it, and it was most certainly the emotional theme i thought it was. This game is amazing... thank you for covering all this material Austin John...
Count me in the 'Watching Austin Play' gang. Im so glad you waited a little while to do these, it was a lot more satisfying doing it all first. Now i can watch these and get some un spoiled tips for my second playthrough since i've already done it.
Thank You Austin.
I'm one of the many who has already done this but I'm still watching this video. Austin John is always going to be my go-to!
I love how many ways you can use to solve any problem in this game. @8:30 I just used the water zonai, made 3 long slabs, made a bridge and used that 1 bridge to cross both lava flows. Like Austin, I just lifted the door, and walked through. If I have time, or someone is watching me play, I try to figure out how the devs intended a puzzle to be solved, if not, I just skip through them in a few seconds
awesome video! you helped me through a lot of the BOTW videos man. so excited to see what else you post :)
And yet again, a pretty amusing video from you. Even tough i already did all the quests, i always wait for your newest video to watch. Not only does it make me laugh so much, but the ironic comments are the cherry on top. Thank you Austin.
This was amazing. I made a point to explore Faron early on (I’d only done Tulin) as I left it super late in BOTW and there wasn’t loads to discover compared to other regions, and just recalled a random falling stone outside the stable. Next thing I know I’m on this black clouded island the stable hands won’t shut up about, open the door cus I poured lots into vitality early on, and doing this mind blowing quest after about finding three geoglyphs. What a game this really is 🙌🏻
Great video as always!!! I am taking my time with exploring but enjoyed every bit of this one.
Im so glad I waited on doing this quest. I finally did it and was waiting to watch until after I finished it. But this is some of the best commentary you’ve done with a guide thank you AJP!
I enjoy watching these after completing in my own playthrough. Some of the puzzles in the arm and leg depots were a bit odd and i used some interesting tactics to complete, i like to compare to how Austin solves the puzzles because this game has so many possible solutions. Loving this mini series.
Definitely in the “done this just watching for fun” camp. Thanks for making these and all the vids.
6:07 I too did it w the lighting helm. Also shoutout to you for doing these playthrough's.
the first time i did this i was exploring the depths and kept seeing the place was like wonder what this is for then looked it up and got this before my final temple plus i have watched each of your videos for the dungeons after i did them to see how they were meant to be done keep up the amazing work
I feel so SEEN. I WATCH all of your videos just because i really enjoy watching you play with your commentary/ tutorial. I have already done most things, but its so nice to have on while i relax. 🎉❤
I literally just found this out of pure accident, I was just trying to see what the thunder cloud was all about and saw an island in it and happened to stumble upon the shrine near the Mineru mask. I finished the whole thing already and I think combined with the epic boxing boss fight and Rauru’s epic sacrifice scene it was incredible, best sage questline out of the whole game imo
I remember stumbling upon the Left Leg Depot randomly and tried to activate the hand thing but got denied. I figured it was part of some quest I hadn’t found yet.
Love your videos! You’re a reference for walkthroughs, and have helped me so much with this game!
I usually do not comment on videos but I would like to Thank you for all your guidance and videos. They are such a great help. I did find this randomly during my game play but I did not complete it. Excited to go back and finish this quest.
Hello. Thanks Austin John, your work rate is immense
I had no clue what was going on at all when i found this and had maybe 2 sages, like 3 tears, and a dream lol i just kinda bumbled my way thru it because i had no clue what was happening. also, doesn't matter what video you upload, i watch it bc you're genuinely fun to watch, and also tend to rewatch them bc they bring me joy and i like having smth on in the background 😊 keep up the awesome work!!
Do you know when the next part of shrine hunters is coming out?
Also, I just wanna say how grateful I am for all the hard work you put into your videos. I've been watching for awhile now😊
Austin’s Zelda content is my safe space hahahaha I love to put them on even if I’ve already done the thing in game/ seen the video!
I am def in the camp of just enjoying watching Austin play. I actually wait to watch any of his videos until after I've done it myself so I don't get spoilies.
I recently went back and rewatched the entire Animal Crossing let's play and it made me want to play Animal Crossing again. Love you Austin! ❤
I love all your content on this game. Such great work brother. My playlist is solid with Austin John Plays. keep up the good work!
much appreciated.
I've been watching your tutorials since BOTW and then Pokémon S & V. Your videos are super detailed and you're well spoken (most of the time LOL) so they're also easy to understand. I'm also a fan of your lame jokes haha! Good job! Keep it up!
Love having help for tok and other games! Keep it going Austin
I was curious about the thunder clouds and stumbled across the quest and got it 🤣 thank you austin
I am most definitely one of the ones that's already done this but still watches the videos you do. It's always fun seeing the different ways things can be done with the new abilities.
On a side note... I finally did it, but have you considered a video about the Korok Forest... not gonna lie it took me way longer than it should have to put together how to get there. 😂
Keep up the amazing work with the videos! Number one person to go to for anything Zelda related! 😊
Hi Austin, I've been following you since Breath of the Wild. I really appreciate all you do for the gaming community. I hope you enjoy the games as much as we do & it doesn't feel like work! ❤
Thank you so much! This is what I was waiting for
I was waiting for this video from you!
We always need to stop for coffee 😂! Thanks Austin I always refer to your content for help plus I like your commentary 👍🏽🤓
Ah, finally! Been waiting for you to do this!
Honestly, I’ve already finished the whole story but I just really like Austin’s voice in the background while I organize my Pokémon cards
Thank you for your videos on totk. You are the only reason I am not half naked In game all the time
I really wanted to explore this area so I actually used your guides to get the Yigah armor in order to get the Thunder Helm. Had no clue there would be this fifth chapter 😂 also I really enjoy seeing you play even if I’ve finished the game! Thanks for the quality content
Did the same but I was really aiming to get the earthwake ability. 100% worth it for cool factor alone.
"Oh. Yep. Vehicular Homicide" had me bustin up laughing when you said that!! Lol
Yeah I finished the game (main story) super quick and have no real need for most of the videos, I also have done so many side quests and other stuff for example the paraglider or armor videos I’ve completed most but I still watch them because man you great
I appreciate this video,
I found it helpful.
Thank you AustinJohn. 💚
I just like watching your video. I like the way you really explain very detail and make it easy for people to follow who are having a hard time.
God I need some shrine hunters. I’m currently just waiting for Austin to put out these videos. I actually went after the depths lighting all the roots so I can possibly find shrines but most of them must be in caves bc I can’t find them 😭😭
Thx for posting all these vids they help me so much
I discovered this quest a good week before I searched for Zelda at the Castle (which I did last night) and was prompted to find the 5th sage. Just traveling through the thunder cloud I was able to discover it. I thought it was about to be a new item and then boom, it’s actually a whole temple I didn’t even know about. It was such a cool experience to find it and complete it on my own before the game even told me to.
THANK YOU, this is the best vid on this construct and few a first time zelda player, it is all new to me. Died only once and it was my fault for still getting used to controls but you made it easy. THANK YOU!
came across your channel not too long ago (you'd already uploaded your fair bit of videos about totk) and many of them have been really helpful, so firstly thanks for that! now onto what i wanted to say, at about min 2:00 you mention some of the vids' viewers watching the walkthroughs just for the sake of it, considering they've already done that in their respective games -- that's literally me. and well, that's pretty much it, just wanting to say it
Thank you for all of these. I did this a while ago as well, but always enjoy watching how you came to the puzzle solutions!
Trying to 100%. Can you do a video on the locations of the yiga schematics in the depths? TIA
I like to watch John show secrets that I didn’t know about. And it helps a lot I’ll tell you. John is the most helpful youtuber ever. I lost my account a few days ago and had to make a new one and John was the first person I subscribed to right off the bat.
Appreciate the walkthrough. Ended up finding the construct factory in the depths first with less than 10 hearts. Had to work up to that just to get back
Thank you so much, when you said the stuff about just watching just for the fun of it that made me so happy!
Props to the dedication to make a tutorial for almost every thing in the game
I love watching these because I solved them completely differently and I like seeing the "real" way! (I used a lot of Ultrahand/Recall for this one haha)
Love the videos waiting for more shrine hunters
The single Poe on top of the temple reminds me of when I decided to climb all the way up Hyrule Castle (past the Dusk Bow).
Your Jokes And Content are really amazing! Ive been watching your channel for 3 years
I watch it after doing it too. Enjoy seeing the different types of beating the puzzles
Thx, I'm still watching you done all.👍🏾
I just really love your commentary.
Thansk for the walkthrough!
I found this on accident but I love to watch him play for fun! (Best TOTK creator award)
I’m almost done with this quest, but I just had to see if you’d uploaded a video on this :D And of course you had! 🎉 Now I have something nice to watch with my morning cuppa coffee.
Lol. Talk about being a bodybuilder 🤣 dropped a like 👍
I found this by accident not realizing how important this quest was and decided to hold off, and im glad I did cause I want to get all the memories first
I also arrived to get the secret stone without Mineru because I used the speedy bike build instead of walking. I had to save and reload and then she spawned in. Appreciate the great content!
I found the door super early in the game. I don’t think I’d even done one main quest. I just wanted all the towers activated and somehow made my way to that door. Obviously I didn’t have the hearts for it and ended up doing three of the phenomena as well as getting the mastersword (and some shrines) before I went back. Glad I did it in that order! I’m not sure if she’ll be of much help really - but it was worth it for the storyline snippets. Can’t wait to complete them all! The storytelling in this instalment is phenomenal!
The support things at 13:00 are glitched and will still come apart when you autobuild them. Lynels just roar at them infinitely and you can easily take them out.
