Shahid Kapoor is still underrated to his contempores. Yet he is incredibly gifted as an actor and way ahead of them with a very diverse portfolio. I am happy when he chooses original material and ofcourse VS playing opposite him is the icing on the cake.

A decent hindi speaking actor could have given the dialogues with ease and could have given much, much better expressions on the camera. Shoving people in a project just for diversity/viewership sake is a big red flag for me.
There is something about Raj and Dk that hits on point with audiences each time, family man both seasons I rewatched certain episodes so many times and yet enjoyed it each time...The director duo makes sure to get the best actors aboard and also extract the best from their performances each time they have to be one of my favorite director hindi cinema has got so far gems !!!
I think we need to speak more about Amol Palekar's performance. He was so emotionally intense and yet understated, vulnerable and idealistic. One could feel the tension as Sunny had to keep guessing the thoughts behind his enigmatic face.
The stakes of a Raj and DK venture is at an all time high and can never go wrong and this series again proves that. Commendable writing 👏. Vijay Sethupathy and Zakir completely stole the show in this one 👍

Shahid always reminds me of 'rahul dravid ' . There are many times where Sachin, Ganguly, laxman stole the show while dravid is on the other end consistently playing great knocks but overshadowed by these 3 players. Now it is the same with Shahid. He has always given great performances but is overshadowed by others
Kaminey was where Shahid outshines them all. Nobody comes near his double performance in that film. He totally nailed it. Though he is an excellent performer but somehow he gets overshadowed by someone.
The lows that Shahid has experienced would have ended someone else's career. The fact that he has remained relevant is a testament to his amazing acting skills. I remember being absolutely blown away by his performance in Haider n find myself rooting for him ever since. Shahid for me is still under rated n deserves much much more❤️

Casting someone who can speak even one language correctly with decent levels of expression and dialogue delivery is a much better alternative to casting someone who speaks in 10 languages. Cast anyone as long as the role justifies it. There's no point of casting anybody just for the sake of diversity/viewership. That becomes a big red flag.

It was an absolutely amazing experience watching “Farzi “. I think it’s probably the best series considering the fact that it had a huge star cast to accommodate. I’m happy that the creators didn’t go over the top considering the casting was heavy. This was a very thoughtful piece of plot and they managed to execute it to perfection. I’m happy that there no over the top action. In fact, the car parking chase ending up on the streets was very thrilling. It was so much fun watching Vijay walking into the skin of his character. I’m sure the creators were tempted to have both the lead cast come face to face at a number of times. But, they managed to hold on to the plot instead of pleasing the audience. That’s how great series are made. I can’t wait to see the next season. Shahid was a treat to watch him perform with so much of ease. I hope we have more such content from other creators involving big stars.
Dude I wanted to take it slow but had to binge watch this series. I wasn't bored at all and credit goes to the insane writing. Had so many laugh out loud moments. And it isn't an easy job to flesh out so many principal characters with actors like VJS, Kay Kay Menon and Shahid. Bhuvan and Zakir definitely were the suprise of the lot. Only gripe is the last episode had a feature length movie like climax but really hyped for the Family Man x Farzi to happen. Fingers crossed.

been a fan of Raj and Dk since "99", adding humor in serious situation speaks of their writing talent. KK and Vijay Sethupati were so effortlessly good. Shahid's transformation from a grey to black character wasn't very convincing for me but it wasn't bad either. Cant wait to see what happens in season 2. Also, l hope we get to see Michael in The Family Man s3.
Shahid follows the Commercial bollywood acting teaching do more to convince audience where Vijay and kk sir do less which makes them more convincing that's why I call them great actors who fits in any character
Just finished watching this series. For me, the takeaway performance would be of Bhuvan who played, Firoz. The entertainer of the show was no doubt Zakir Hussain and some scenes of KK Menon and VJS. I felt initially in few scenes, VJS is having bit difficulty to get the minimum flow in delivering dialogues in Hindi but later on he managed to cover it up in the rest of the series. And the way KK Menon delivered some curse words were hilarious AF. I'm expecting they might comeback with another season and might involve in further crossovers.
It is a must watch. Love it. Kubra Sait and kay kay Menon together is epic. All the characters are well developed and no one feels that they are not required. Vijay Setupati is brilliant. The climax opens up so many doors and the universe that they are building within, Cant wait to watch that. That one moment made made shout will binging.

I see such topics being spoken about a lot in the past 2-3 years. I truly fail to understand this country's obsession with crossovers and spy universes in the most mediocre content it produces. I mean how hollow does the brain need to be to yearn for something like this. To each their own I guess.

Also not like they have announced it completely that we will see those people in second season or in future in family man. That spy universe of Pathaan seems forced though and just pure fan service stuff even that Loki universe seems uninteresting.
I think this series is a testament to the fact that Shahid is the definitive best actor of our generation. Not trying to put others down to prop him up, but Ranbir and Ranveer have nothing on this man in terms of sheer acting prowess. Ranbir, Shahid.. Each of them have their signature style of Acting. You can't generalize between them. Ranbir is much more nuanced & effortlessly natural while Shahid has got more depth & intensity in his performance. But THEY are great Actors

Many friends felt that the series was a little slow, but I felt like going on a real time life journey of each character and feeling every inch of changing characteristics nuisances with time and circumstances. You never feel bored and get suddenly tickled with unexpected instances of humor. It is a very well-made series. After " Monica my darling" , this one just had me hooked for the whole time.
Been their fan since go goa gone. It still stays as one of my favorite movies. Farzi was really great. I binged something after so long. It was worth the time. I especially got my heart attached in the first 15 minutes of the first episode. After that the show went in like butter

Arre people today have this being cool in their own self by just rejecting everything that is mass and commercial. I know my words aren't the best way to put this but nothing can't be said they haven't faced real world yet so they seek the reality on screen where many seek just fun and good time in films. I want Kay Kay to somehow outplay who ever the topdogs are. His character was amazing, please don't let him die just to establish a bigger villain, MAKE HIM THE BIGGER VILLAIN. Let us see WHY he reached to fhe position he did. With everything gone and seemingly no help his way, I want him to fingure it out again and much better. It will raise rhe stakes more when the inevitable end comes. coz we'll be rooting for literally everyone.
Vijay Sethupati speaks English, Hindi, Tamil AND TELUGU. Regina's family is Telugu, and he speaks Telugu with her parents. Overall he speaks more Telugu than Tamil in series (speaks in Tamils mostly with his son).
I think it was a deliberately choice on the creators' part to stage and cut the action scenes differently from those in Family Man. The setting of Farzi lends limited scope for action, as compared to Family Man, where the threat to life is graver and more frequent.
Every time I was lying down and watching the series, I would get up and sit either because the scene would be too funny or because of the amazing plotline and twists! Great series for binging!
I pulled an all nighter and watched all the episodes and according to me it's totally worth watching and also if you like Family man you'll be hooked too

I watched Jammy's review after I was done watching the series. I don't have anything else to add about the series because Jammy has covered that extensively in his review. I just want to applaud him for the film making technicalities he introduces average viewers like me to. The points about usage of artificial frames, jump cuts, superimposition of frames to make it look one sequence and actually mentioning the names of unsung heroes like the cinematographers or the character Yasir Chacha played by Chittaranjan Giri in his reviews is really appreciable. It just shows the efforts Jammy puts into his reviews. More power to you brother . Thank you and keep up the great work!
There was a comment on a website rating Shahid as the most overrated and worst actor of Bollywood due to his hit/flop ratio. Somewhere Shahid's poor choices have always played against him, but when he goes for the best script he just makes us realize how underrated he truly is and how we tend to judge actors according to their box office capabilities and not the skills shown on-screen and range of ones' emotion.
His stint with the movies has been so unpredictable. Some big highs and supreme lows! It's almost become the norm as the years go by now. The talent is unquestionable tho
The thing is, no matter the movie, his performance is always good. Sure, he makes some eccentric choices like Shaandaar but he would still give it his all in these roles. About time, the man receives his flowers.
Totally loved this series!! Yes, I agree it lacks the pacing and mastery of 'The Family Man' but honestly, these two feel like two different stories and maybe, the action wasn't that racy...but it was still immensely watchable and bingeworthy. I would vote Farzi over The Night Manager any

I watched farzi today.. Was waiting for it eagerly.. Shahid ka mai haider k baad se fan hun.. Vijay sethupathi ka mai dharma durai aur sethupathi fi dekhne k baad se follow krta hun.. So i was pretty excited. I have some pointers regarding the series. 1. The series was perfectly set up, giving each character the necessary depth and giving audience enough time to know them properly. 2. For me the best episode of the whole series was the 7th episode. The cat and mouse chase between both the parties was just amazing. Gave me literal chills... 3. This is just a theory, lekin raj and dk k har series me koi na koi ek main character marta hi hai. Maybe i may be assuming this, par jo dikh rha hai vo bata rha hun. 4. After watching the climax I just felt that the series ended too soon.. Vo santushti nai mili jo family man 2 dekhake mili thi.. Overall this series was good, but family man k comparison me dekhein toh feeka pad jayega. Is very much enjoyable and watchable. Baki jo anmol bro bole vo sab bhi hai isliye repeat nai karunga Adios amigoss

I saw the series and enjoyed it thoroughly.. the plot, acting and dialogues were well in sync though I thought the role of the police officer could also be pulled off by R. Madhavan.. I would particularly mention Firoz who was absolutely fluid in screen with his dialogues and comic timing and Amol sir for being so natural. He was the only human touch in sharp contrast with the other hooligans. Shahid does well in such shady characters and KK is nonchalant as usual.. the exchanges between Vijay and Zakir were hilarious.. a nicely done web series which I am sure the makers also enjoyed while making it.. 👍

Vijay Sethupati, as Micheal spoke 4 languages in the series. All can recognize his English and Hindi spoken in Tamil accent, but He spoke in Tamil with his wife and son, but strangely, he was conversing in Telugu with his in-laws, I Don't know why?! I mean, if his in-laws are Telugu speakers, then wouldn't his wife would also understand Telugu better than Tamil???
The first thing I felt after watching the series was to see if there is a review if it by you (and suggest you to review if you hadn’t). But here I am, watching the review after watching the series and thoroughly enjoying it.
I watched this series without knowing it a Ray&DK creation. In this series Shinde the Hawaldar was introduced very early, a character from The Family man season 1. But initially I thought maybe it just something to get a connection which didn't fit. Than Punit in the road smoking cigarette, and Michel saying hello to Tiwari, got me thinking, so I went back and looking at the writers. But hell I wasn't hoping the cameo... (PS:- Not revealing the cameo for those who haven't watched it yet)

Casting someone who can speak even one language correctly with decent levels of expression and dialogue delivery is a much better alternative to casting someone who speaks in 10 languages.
Cast anyone as long as the role justifies it. There's no point of casting anybody just for the sake of diversity/viewership. That becomes a big red flag.

It was an absolutely amazing experience watching “Farzi “. I think it’s probably the best series considering the fact that it had a huge star cast to accommodate. I’m happy that the creators didn’t go over the top considering the casting was heavy. This was a very thoughtful piece of plot and they managed to execute it to perfection. I’m happy that there no over the top action. In fact, the car parking chase ending up on the streets was very thrilling. It was so much fun watching Vijay walking into the skin of his character. I’m sure the creators were tempted to have both the lead cast come face to face at a number of times. But, they managed to hold on to the plot instead of pleasing the audience. That’s how great series are made. I can’t wait to see the next season. Shahid was a treat to watch him perform with so much of ease. I hope we have more such content from other creators involving big stars.
Dude I wanted to take it slow but had to binge watch this series. I wasn't bored at all and credit goes to the insane writing. Had so many laugh out loud moments. And it isn't an easy job to flesh out so many principal characters with actors like VJS, Kay Kay Menon and Shahid. Bhuvan and Zakir definitely were the suprise of the lot. Only gripe is the last episode had a feature length movie like climax but really hyped for the Family Man x Farzi to happen. Fingers crossed.

been a fan of Raj and Dk since "99", adding humor in serious situation speaks of their writing talent. KK and Vijay Sethupati were so effortlessly good. Shahid's transformation from a grey to black character wasn't very convincing for me but it wasn't bad either. Cant wait to see what happens in season 2. Also, l hope we get to see Michael in The Family Man s3.
Shahid follows the Commercial bollywood acting teaching do more to convince audience where Vijay and kk sir do less which makes them more convincing that's why I call them great actors who fits in any character
Just finished watching this series. For me, the takeaway performance would be of Bhuvan who played, Firoz. The entertainer of the show was no doubt Zakir Hussain and some scenes of KK Menon and VJS. I felt initially in few scenes, VJS is having bit difficulty to get the minimum flow in delivering dialogues in Hindi but later on he managed to cover it up in the rest of the series. And the way KK Menon delivered some curse words were hilarious AF. I'm expecting they might comeback with another season and might involve in further crossovers.

It is a must watch. Love it. Kubra Sait and kay kay Menon together is epic. All the characters are well developed and no one feels that they are not required. Vijay Setupati is brilliant. The climax opens up so many doors and the universe that they are building within, Cant wait to watch that. That one moment made made shout will binging.

I see such topics being spoken about a lot in the past 2-3 years. I truly fail to understand this country's obsession with crossovers and spy universes in the most mediocre content it produces. I mean how hollow does the brain need to be to yearn for something like this. To each their own I guess.

Also not like they have announced it completely that we will see those people in second season or in future in family man. That spy universe of Pathaan seems forced though and just pure fan service stuff even that Loki universe seems uninteresting.
I think this series is a testament to the fact that Shahid is the definitive best actor of our generation. Not trying to put others down to prop him up, but Ranbir and Ranveer have nothing on this man in terms of sheer acting prowess. I’m only an episode in, and he’s so bloody magnetic and he picks up the lingo so damn well. Beyond excited to see Sunny clash with Vijay and Kay Kay’s character 🔥
Ranbir, Shahid.. Each of them have their signature style of Acting. You can't generalize between them. Ranbir is much more nuanced & effortlessly natural while Shahid has got more depth & intensity in his performance. But THEY are great Actors

Many friends felt that the series was a little slow, but I felt like going on a real time life journey of each character and feeling every inch of changing characteristics nuisances with time and circumstances. You never feel bored and get suddenly tickled with unexpected instances of humor. It is a very well-made series. After " Monica my darling" , this one just had me hooked for the whole time.
The web series was a masterpiece, but cameo of chellam sir was like a pleasant shocker coming with a hope to see family man and farzi merging together
The web series is really good. I totally agree. But the beginning should have been a bit more explained to make it better.
Been their fan since go goa gone. It still stays as one of my favorite movies. Farzi was really great. I binged something after so long. It was worth the time. I especially got my heart attached in the first 15 minutes of the first episode. After that the show went in like butter

I want Kay Kay to somehow outplay who ever the topdogs are. His character was amazing, please don't let him die just to establish a bigger villain, MAKE HIM THE BIGGER VILLAIN. Let us see WHY he reached to fhe position he did. With everything gone and seemingly no help his way, I want him to fingure it out again and much better. It will raise rhe stakes more when the inevitable end comes. coz we'll be rooting for literally everyone.

Vijay sethupathi's acting is really good. All his scenes are great with good humor
Vijay Sethupati speaks English, Hindi, Tamil AND TELUGU. Regina's family is Telugu, and he speaks Telugu with her parents. Overall he speaks more Telugu than Tamil in series (speaks in Tamils mostly with his son).
I think it was a deliberately choice on the creators' part to stage and cut the action scenes differently from those in Family Man. The setting of Farzi lends limited scope for action, as compared to Family Man, where the threat to life is graver and more frequent.

I watched Jammy's review after I was done watching the series. I don't have anything else to add about the series because Jammy has covered that extensively in his review. I just want to applaud him for the film making technicalities he introduces average viewers like me to. The points about usage of artificial frames, jump cuts, superimposition of frames to make it look one sequence and actually mentioning the names of unsung heroes like the cinematographers or the character Yasir Chacha played by Chittaranjan Giri in his reviews is really appreciable. It just shows the efforts Jammy puts into his reviews. More power to you brother . Thank you and keep up the great work!

There was a comment on a website rating Shahid as the most overrated and worst actor of Bollywood due to his hit/flop ratio. Somewhere Shahid's poor choices have always played against him, but when he goes for the best script he just makes us realize how underrated he truly is and how we tend to judge actors according to their box office capabilities and not the skills shown on-screen and range of ones' emotion.
His stint with the movies has been so unpredictable. Some big highs and supreme lows! It's almost become the norm as the years go by now. The talent is unquestionable tho

So i was pretty excited. I have some pointers regarding the series.
1. The series was perfectly set up, giving each character the necessary depth and giving audience enough time to know them properly.
2. For me the best episode of the whole series was the 7th episode. The cat and mouse chase between both the parties was just amazing. Gave me literal chills...
3. This is just a theory, lekin raj and dk k har series me koi na koi ek main character marta hi hai. Maybe i may be assuming this, par jo dikh rha hai vo bata rha hun.
4. After watching the climax I just felt that the series ended too soon.. Vo santushti nai mili jo family man 2 dekhake mili thi..
Overall this series was good, but family man k comparison me dekhein toh feeka pad jayega.
Is very much enjoyable and watchable. Baki jo anmol bro bole vo sab bhi hai isliye repeat nai karunga

I saw the series and enjoyed it thoroughly.. the plot, acting and dialogues were well in sync though I thought the role of the police officer could also be pulled off by R. Madhavan.. I would particularly mention Firoz who was absolutely fluid in screen with his dialogues and comic timing and Amol sir for being so natural. He was the only human touch in sharp contrast with the other hooligans. Shahid does well in such shady characters and KK is nonchalant as usual.. the exchanges between Vijay and Zakir were hilarious.. a nicely done web series which I am sure the makers also enjoyed while making it.. 👍

Vijay Sethupati, as Micheal spoke 4 languages in the series. All can recognize his English and Hindi spoken in Tamil accent, but He spoke in Tamil with his wife and son, but strangely, he was conversing in Telugu with his in-laws, I Don't know why?! I mean, if his in-laws are Telugu speakers, then wouldn't his wife would also understand Telugu better than Tamil???

I watched this series without knowing it a Ray&DK creation. In this series Shinde the Hawaldar was introduced very early, a character from The Family man season 1. But initially I thought maybe it just something to get a connection which didn't fit. Than Punit in the road smoking cigarette, and Michel saying hello to Tiwari, got me thinking, so I went back and looking at the writers. But hell I wasn't hoping the cameo... (PS:- Not revealing the cameo for those who haven't watched it yet)
