I always enjoy these Panama videos. I got bit my a mangrove snapper once on the tip of a finger. It was so painful and difficult to get him off. It happened so fast. I imagine those Cubera Snapper are fast too. I've always wondered why do you leave the lures in the fish when handling them? It looks so dangerous.
Yeah it’s not great practice, and I often remove them, but I wanted to show what I caught it on and how it was hooked. I definitely recommend removing them ASAP.

That big red snapper at the end looks just like if you took a florida mangrove snapper made it enormous and mixed it with a goliath grouper and painted it a deeper darker red it looks all grouper until you get near the mouth then its snapper awesome fish. Now that snappers going to go tell its family that it was abducted by aliens in strange diamond shaped ships with strange gear on their heads yep itll say beware of pink food! Or maybe it knows were people and its like yeah yeah fifth time this year... Awesome videos as always Adios!

Hey Rob! We're wanting to plan a trip to Los Buzos next year and wanted to know if there's a particular season you recommend!
It’s good pretty much year round. Email info@losbuzos.com and they’ll send you all the info to plan it as well as date options. I’m there every January, April and August but May-July, September and February are all great too
Here in Australia we call the jack raval a GT and typically they have the yellow fence.
But they are a fun fight. We had hoped one on slab lure and it took a good 35 minutes to bring it in we didn’t get a photo or measure it so I’m not too sure how big it was but if I had a guess it would be 70 cm to 80 com long
