Mine was running cold now that I gotta new motor it blows hot now... u think it jus needs Freon?

If you replaced the blower motor that has nothing to do with the a/c system. But if you meant that you replaced the a/c compressor then the system will have to be recharged

I was always told not to turn the can upside down, to keep it upright and shake it.

Could be a/c needs to be recharged or clogged up condenser / faulty expansion valve
