Thanks you did a nice tutorial. I saw you left the old o ring and I would like to ask if there were any minor fluid leak problems afterwards. Thank you
Why did you spray brake cleaner all over on everything??? Wont that damage wires and plastic rubber etc? Were you trying to clean off trans oil ...and is trans oil corrosive or bad??
Astounding, but the owners manual makes no mention of this filter. Very few know about it. The magnets are most important. I add several more to the pan inside.
This is the same thing that Nissan did There were no diagrams showing this in line filter As a result Nissan owners even if they were good about doing CVT fluid changes were never ever aware of this in line filter Thousands upon thousands of their CVT’s failed as a result. Can you change the upper filter with the car cold, having been sitting overnight? Or does it have to be done with the pan dropped? I had the dealer do my fluid change, only to find out after that they DON'T do the upper filter. I'd love to change the upper filter without having to drop the pan since it is all new fluid in there now.
I dont know whether this CVT is good, will still whine and go into limp mode regardless of changing both filters and oil, i think there is a problem with the CVT fluid has no sufficient voscosity to withstand higher temperature generated by the CVT belt inside and it starts slipping😊

Kristopher, they do sell what they call a universal dip stick on amazon.
