    The Reverend W Awdry was definitely a great author with great story sequences. Duck and his trucks were definitely an intense railway chase. The Duck and the Diesel Trilogy had other elements which was immense. But the chase was the most.

    I have to agree with you that the trucks chasing Duck is a nail-biting experience, but I find the part where Duck narrowly avoids crashing at the back of the passenger train a bit more stressful, but it was thankfully avoided

    Everyone is saying, "Why have a barber shop at the end of a line?" This explains why. And wow, what a story! 😲

    • @Daniel_Huffman
      @Daniel_Huffman 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      To be fair, that line wasn't intended to be used for runaways. On your average day, it was probably just a siding. I also read a theory that the barber shop was a disused tool shed that had been purchased from the railway and converted into its new role.

    This is what made the franchise a masterpiece: impeccable realism in works of fiction. Just hoping for the franchise to return to its glory days with the advent of the upcoming live action movie (which may or may not be released).
    BTW, I just so happen to be the 460th like, the same number as a PRR locomotive.

    I don't see how the buffers hadn't stopped the tank engine from crashing into that barber shop at the station.

    I actually agreed with you one the fact that the station terminus setting would make A Close Shave more interesting if Wilbert wanted to have it all accurate to the real incident, maybe that could be made in a remake

    I'm surprised the current location doesn't have a clipping and/or the illustration of the event as a selling point. Something like a placque stating "A true event that inspired the story "A Close Shave" by the Rev. W Awdry, author of the Railway Series and creator of Thomas the Tank Engine".
