So, a near product you may want to try on your wheels is shark hide. It’s a metal protectant that is used on boats to protect against sail and corrosives. For your application I would think it would be the beans! Great to see the newer content
a great product I love the portability of the 50. Question?? Is there a reason you would use the by-pass? sounds like a dumb question because "you don't want to waste it" however if the unit has to be recharged every 40days or after 1500 gallons anyways I can't possibly use that much water in 40 days? Are there any other reasons I am missing or can I pre rise, wash, and post rinse with DI water?
Most city homes put out well over 10+ GPM of water. In California we add waster saver heads to drop it to 2.5 Gpm. But yes you can go well over the 10 Gpm in California homes. My old home had a 1" inch pipe (37+ GMP). My mothers home has a 3/4 inch pipe (23 GPM) that comes from the street... Chart: (GPM flow of water by size (20-1000 PSI) (Size = Low to High Pressure) 1/2" = 14 GPM to 840 GPM 3/4" = 23 GPM to 1,410 GPM 1" = 37 GPM to 2,220 GPM 1.25" = 62 GPM to 3,750 GPM As you can see you can do more then 10 gpm of water at most RV parks. (This is why you use a water pressure regulator so you don't blow your pipes inside your RV) (flexpvc.com/Reference/WaterFlowBasedOnPipeSize.shtml)
Hi Glenn, Good information and something that seems to be worth the investment... I really like the Bypass valve on top because its a pain in the bottom, having to disconnect and reconnect between wash and rinse, my only concern is carrying more weight in my coach..
I'm sure that 50 lbs isn't going to make a great deal of difference to the performance of your coach. Besides if you want a clean coach and the best DI on the market it's worth it.
@@GreatEscape24 Yup, 50 lbs shouldn't make much of a difference.. I just assumed it was much heavier. I have the CR spotless unit with your upgrade right now, but I may go this route when I change out systems. Thanks
I love my Di Rinse Pro+. I wash the front first and then proceed to do about 1/3 of the side at a time. I have the wife out helping me with another hose rinsing off the soap and basically keep the cleaned portion wet until I finish and then I final rinse the entire coach with the Di water. The Pro 50 is a lot easier to carry with us but I am still looking for something to hold it on place while we travel. I tow an F-150 with a covered bed so I carry it, along with my GN2 bottle, in the back of my truck, Of course down here in Florida if you have your coach outside you get rinsed off every day almost. ;-)
In a really hard water area I'd suggest doing ALL washing with DI water. Just going to be a really bad day if the non DI prewash or soap water has a chance to dry. To much work to get off water spots for the slight increase of using more DI water. I use all DI water, pre rinse, foam canon, wash buckets, final rinse. Live is good.
Order from rv-mods.com. Don't waste your $ 472 on a simply chuck that will produce at best 400 gallons. Our Pro 50 will produce 2,000 and it's $399 or the Pro 100 4,000 gallon version os $585
We are trying to become a dealer for the Norwex cloths but it would appear that they have stopped making this particular one as it's out of stock everywhere.
Great to have you providing content again. Looking forward to an update on you selling your entegra and if you are buying a new rig. I know you were pretty impressed with the Tiffin manufacturing process!
Thanks for the video and product review. I bought the pro 50 about two weeks ago and have rinsed 5 cars and filled a few soap and rinse buckets--maybe 50 gallons of use total. Checked the TDS and it was 7 ppm (from 0 to 7 in one rinsing). Ran some gallons and kept testing as it went, in 5 minutes ppm was 214. I'm a bit confused what could be the issue. The resin couldn't have died that quickly. Not sure what other working parts might be the culprit.
Hi Sean, What is the PPM before the water enters the unit. There are two main factors that affect the TDS reading. One is g high pressure you are going to use up your resin the ppm of the water before the system and the other is the water through put (pressure). If you are using high pressure then your resin will be used up quicker than someone using the same unit using a lower pressure. Turn your faucet down and watch the reading change. Please e-mail : orders@rv-mods.com
Thank you for the fast response. My TDS reading for the regular softened (Rainsoft) water is around 400 ppm before it enters the unit (very high I know. Florida has very hard water). I have a hose spigot that puts out about 2.5 gallons per minute. I was using an electric pressure washer rated for 1.75 gallons per minute. I purchased my unit from the manufacturer (I didn't realize there were 3rd party sellers until I saw your video). I will lower the pressure an try again.Thank you again for the info. I have enjoyed your videos !
@@seansean8008 Hi Sean, we used to sell on behalf of DI Rinse but their service and lack of customer contact was so bad that we set up our own manufacturing plant and we now produce all of our own units of which we are selling hundreds per month. If you need anything let us know and we help you. Same day shipping
Hi again, I know you are busy but I just wanted to 1) thank you for actually corresponding with me 2) update you since you have been my only source of help (D.I. Rinse's customer service really is terrible). I disassembled the unit to examine for breaks and to ensure the plastic rod was properly inserted. It seems pretty straight forward, and it doesn't appear any mechanical malfunction would be the culprit. I did lower the gpm and tested many settings, but the water pretty much tested the same. I even had a few TDS readings that were higher than the source water (still shaking my head on that one). Unless you know of any mechanical failures that could contribute to this issue, Im still guessing bad resin-- but depleting after only 50 gallons seems unreasonable, even with my hard water, unless it was a truly bad batch or already used. I sent D.I. another email today and told them I expect a solution or a refund. If I send their unit back I am definitely ordering my replacement from RV Mods .
Sadly I'll doubt you'll get any response from DI RInse. So here a solution that might help. I can supply you with some replacement resin at a discounted price. I know it's not the same as a refund but I really don't think you will receive any response from DI Rinse as they don't care about clients E-mail me at: orders@rv-mods.com
Hi Don That one is out of phase, only because we made it and didn't get around to posting it, but had so many people asking the same info that posting it will answer a load of questions for people.
@@GreatEscape24 Ok. I ask because we're in central Florida. We live in a Class A motorcoach community and if you were close-ish and still around we could hook up for a beer or dinner. Cheers my friend, safe travels.
You do good work, are you for hire? If so I would like to schedule an appointment to get my coach washed. I will even supply the beer. Say hello to Julia for me it's been some time since we've seen her. Keep the rubber on the road.
Claims of 4000 gal of DI from your Pro-100 (110 TDS water input) are wildly exaggerated. Real life yield from 1cf of mixed bed resin is about 1600 gal of zero TDS water (110 TDS water input). If you start with 150 TDS like me, that yield is more like 1200 gal of zero TDS before I have to start thinking of replacing the mixed bed resin. Resin yield is a hard fact. Nothing magical about the system or the resin that will change that. Running 5-10 gallons thru the resin to "prime" it every time you set it on it's side is a hit on your resin life. That said, absolutely nothing wrong with the system and the outcome is indeed pure DI water for a spot free rinse. Folks should just have an idea of actual yield of zero water....I guess you can increase your yield slightly if a number higher than zero is acceptable. Certainly by 15-20 TDS, you will have water spots.
My house water softener uses the same type of valve. I'm thinking about getting a DI system, thanks for the video.

Well that's incredible, and far too high for a DI system to work well. All you achieve is to exsaust your resin really quickly, So no gain at all
