My opinion on balancing goes to ufs dustbelif/disbelif/red/insanity in general/fell sans/ are clearly unbalanced and ufs has one unbalanced witch is outer
@@Chillie8 I honestly have no idea where you’re coming from with the Chara team, I see the sans team win all the time. At least when you’re playing with/ against the top players I find it very possible to win as sans. You’re grossly over exaggerating this issue. I’m not saying UFS has no problems. I’m not going to make a case for the whole skins situation, though if I wanted to I could probably argue on skins doing something causing the game to be more luck based in general. More on this, ULC handled the determination soul horribly in its past and in recent iterations. Finally, ULC has a huge problem of not being new player friendly, even if you get to 100 wins once you get to public lobbies with ppl who have 8K wins or even just 1K you get absolutely cooked. This is because they have some stupid max upgrade sans that is so much more powerful than that noob can handle with their lower tier weapons and the like. UFS, however you can actually win with pacifist, being one of the best in the game, you can win with the stick weapon and a basic soul, and finally the hitboxes aren’t as jank as they are in ULC. Pretty much all the ULC players I see today are just loyal players. I could go on, but I’m seeing how long this message is. P.S. (I can agree that some UFS skins should be separate characters.)

They legit put a character in just to make fun of ULC, of course they did. Ulc is great. Ulc sans roasting UFS and UJD is all in good fun. And he barely even "makes fun of them." He just says UJD accepts people without aim and that ufs barely gets updates.

Seriously when the game released I knew it wasn’t tested enough. There was too much things that disappointed me despite the chance I gave to the game. One of best thing they did was probably the hp/dodges scaling but even this didn’t fix the issue of being destroyed by 5 charas during sans rounds.
i can answer how they ruined themselves because instead of being "undertale final showdown", the game we all waited for, had hopes for it, someone even said "this is the best svc game!" they just... became "undertale final gambledown"
I don't think UFS doomed itself with low amount of content, it's mostly because of the quests forced on your throat and the win lock thing, the quests are kinda undoable because if the charas are more than 4 then you lose in a heart beat, like really 4 players with some of them having DT instantly makes you lose so you won't be able to complete the stupid quests that are forced so yeah... UFS really ruined itself with the release and the conpect of win caps.
So, here's what i think. Yeah, the game remuneration was kinda wacky and all over the place (skins mostly) But what frustated me (my opinion) the most was the gold farming. It's literally just a chore for something that isn't even that much greater than your current thing. That's why i really love how in ULC you unlock almost everything by having wins

You forgot something that ruined a bit ufs is the locked progress when low servers weren't existed I couldn't get a quest to unlock my progress so I gave up and now I finally did it
Skins are a great way to add cosmetic variety to your characters and entertainment to the game depending on how you do it, but UFS didn't cook with the skins, instead they burned the entire building down and took their game along with it.
I play ULC a lot and when I found UFS I was excited to play, but I had no idea how to do anything since it’s really complicated and there’s a lot of different items in the lobby I barley can keep track of it.

I think the main problem with UFS is that they kept adding too much grind for too little content (especially on the chara side) Needing 150k G and 60 levels just to be ABLE to buy the asriel combo (which costs over 100k gold from what i remember) is insane
short but sweet, i like it. As a one of the current devs of ufs or at least whats left of it i assure that we will try to make things better. Even tho some decisions that have been currently taken are not the best, me and the rest of the team will try our best to put out whatever content there is left to see if we can at least make it a bit less of a hassle to play and more enjoyable.

The Devs that were not interested were the ones that had already worked themselfs for 4 years. Even tho the game might be in an awful spot right now i wont be giving up, and i know many of the other devs and sub-devs dont want to let the game die.

For example the mobile experience isnt as good as ulc as you cant aim if your on mobile in ufs and most things work hardly on mobile. Expect for mobile issues we got issues such as the large win gaps and the game is being like a ujd but fancier (no stam, just dodges and cd) and if we ignored this is personal but i dont fricking get why the spamton quests exist and softlocks our wins. It just makes the game boring as doing a quest can take up a lot of time. Im not saying ufs is bad at all its a really good game with very good visuals and some good themes with great stuff but it got too many flaws and unconveniant things rn. And i dunno if they can get past ulc

Well, im afraid to say its too late for ufs to come back, ralseiprotecter is releasing one more update with sudden changes as a character and supposedly just dropping the project. It is such a disappointment that they couldn’t even hold a game together for at least a year.

Recently they re-added the April fools event game and focused ALMOST like 80% of the updates for that now such as adding maps, adding new characters to gamble for despite them not doing anything (accept for Hakari who is a buggy mess despite the devs saying that they'd rework Him. Newsflash I believe He still works the same way He did in the past) Overall their communication is so bad, they don't listen to their community, they're getting bored of undertale devs are retiring from ufs
i hear a lot of people talkig about the gambling, what ruined the game for me honestly was how combo relient this game was. it was impossable when unless you knew like all the fucking combos and that just gets annoying after a while. after i quit,, i was GONNA come back when skins started really appearing, but when i found out skins did jack shit, i was like nah. the game has increadable models but thats really it. a lot of these skins need theyre own characters
Ufs following the path of undertale dungeons, the undertale dungeons was peaceful and really good, well until instead of reworking/improving stuff/remaking stuff/adding new aus as content went straight to the worst path, what's the path? In my opinion, one of the major reasons why ufs REALLY fell down is the overhype. and its caused by the community , not the devs. the devs were just once proud of their game but then the community overhyped the game and the devs followed in.

UFS balancing was alot better before. back when the game released and everyone was trying it, when we only had pacifist sans at the moment.. it would be the most fair fighr ever, even with a sans against 3 pepole, i would be left with, like. 1-2 HP at the end. plus, UFS LOWERS YOUR HEALTH TO BALANCE IT EVEN MORE FOR STUFF LIKE PAFICIST, AND SWAP.. does ULC do that?
I don't really play ufs cause its complete trash, but from what I've heard, the gamepass skins do in fact give slight buffs, like weak dustdust for ruins dust having better hitboxes and Harlem sans for crossbones having a larger map
ruins dustdust is a buff because he doesn't have a long-ass cutscene before the fight (meaning that chara team ult cooldowns are set to 0 instead of full as soon as the fight begins) and the map is a way smaller corridor instead of a circular arena, which makes his fire hazards way harder to circumvent when they block the path to him Harlem crossbones is just jank in general Flowey possession sans makes the entire map dark as hell and it doesn't light up until a few seconds after the match begins, so the sans can spam attacks while everyone is waiting for the lights to come on and they can't see them coming
I'm seeing a lot of people trying to defend UFS in the comments, so Ima take a quote from UFS ITSELF that perfectly summarizes the game "UFSians when they realize that good models wont make up for their bad gameplay" its something like that. UFS' gameplay is stupidly mid, its not or very little skill based. -Press r to be invincible for 2-3 seconds and move a fair distance away -Some moves (Mainly tough gloves) Special being actually undodgeable up close without a blink or teleport. -Admins almost having 5 (half of the entire roster of UFS' characters) admin characters -Gambling. TL;DW : April fools update sucked. the timing between updates sucks. the amount of content in the game does not correlate with the time it takes for them to update. alot of promises didnt happen alot of characters who were sup[posed to be cahracters got turned into skins etca etca.
where did u get ‘ulc killer’ from? it was never meant to have that kind of title, even devs said tht, but your right abt the skins, and also i think instead of gambling for the skins u should have quests or smth cuz luck based stuff is frustrating (js my opinion), also i think the quests could also add more playability if they were to make each skin unique (in abilities) so it would be worth playing for. İ was a ulc fan from start so i didint like ufs because people were comparing with it i was one of the first people to plaqy ulc(my old accont had santa i think my friedns also played back then then i loved killer as character also 250 win was big back then then the game owenership was passed so my 3k+ was gone i still had reset now am around 2k so if it woldnt go i was probably around 5k and my all chars would almost be max my insanity was max disbleef is maxed rn to but it would be alot quicker horor is maxed like back then to but negative isnt fell doesnt have the same xp so no last phase pacifist would be max it isnt rn also many other chars i qm now to lazy to grindd everything back i dont have pc if i had pc i woıld play game for very long time)
I just feel like they hyped us too much for what was out already, they showed us a lot of characters and weapons wnd stuff and at the end whith the few updates we still habe some same classic and expected weapons, and the same characters Whithout any few cool characters or stuff i aggred whith some people in the comments some skins should have been characters because then a game keep updating but you keep seen the same cast of characters and low effort skin you are growing bored of it for a game that hyped us for years now
alright, so let's get started on this little adventure i have decided to put myself on. first of all the first 2/3rds of the video: literally just an opinion, the lack of skins doing anything does not impact how the game plays in any way and is in most cases better than having the skins actually do something, you're not forced to spend your money on skins and it's just a thing put into the game for late game players to sink time into like most games with skins, in the vast majority of games skins don't do anything as making them do so usually throws the balance completely out of wack. i don't really care for the first bit of the video although it confuses me that it is the thing you seemed to of started with. now for the ulc vs ufs in terms of balance, and this is the part i dislike and where the video falls apart. let's go over ulc's gameplay loop really quick, let's see. chara team you start off and rapidly unlock very viable and some of what could even be considered overpowered equipment, the chara characters are practically forgotten and all chara team progress is practically instant at win thresholds due to not needing exp to level anything up as the characters are essentially useless compared to the weapons which is a lame choice since the characters are the literal only thing you have to sink time into to make more powerful, but regardless of that. what would happen if you first joined the game, or joined on a new account, and played sans team? let's go over the starter characters, we have little sans, science sans, papyrus, pacifist, classic sans, and underswap papyrus. little sans is completely unplayable unless you abuse glitches to send the chara team to their spawn in the hall. you have to be fighting an alzeimers patient or 2 year old to do anything as it. science sans is the first character that you may be able to get an actual kill or 2 against early game equipment chara team if you play good enough. as it is the first character which has actual damage and defensive moves. as well as survivability, even then if you are fighting competent players using things like TOUGH GLOVE. (might of rebalanced it but pretty sure it's still atrocious due to the balancing practices of the devs and all the shadow updates.) you aren't going to get kills and in turn it's not gonna ever become a viable character in fair battle conditions. Then we have pacifist. same boat as little tale unless they made him deal like 30 dmg. you are not getting any kills as that thing if the people your fighting are competent even in the slightest. then we have papyrus, again even though i personally have gotten kills as papyrus and leveled him myself, in any fair conditions even accounting for everyone having around the same wins you are not getting kills in any sort of fair for both sides in terms of stats and skill conditions. and so far i haven't been talking about WINNING I'm talking about getting a single kill. now where were we? ah classic sans, the thing that should have been a hardmode rework instead of reworking one of the only interesting fun characters to play in the game. there's nothing wrong with classic, other than the fact it replaced a perfectly fine character instead of replacing hardmode, in the game where over half of it's characters are far too outdated they chose to waste their time on making classic sans a grappler that looks like it's out of a fighting game rather than an svc, woulda been fine for hardmode but it don't fit classic for crap, not like what it used to be. as for balance I'm not up to date with it due to my immeasurable disappointment with it, but from what i remembered when i played as it in a server filled with my friends around my skill level i absolutely leveled them any round i played as it despite not knowing the moveset. so imma just say it's a bit fricked, although i have been able to consistently beat it in publics although that is probably mostly because roblox players are complete trash at video games far more than the average enjoyer of games in my vast experience on this crappy platform. like, seriously who gave CLASSIC SANS, 2 MELLEES (ian probably tbh). now underswap papyrus, somewhat useable ig but with only phase 1 it completely collapses in a fair fight with the chara team sweeping it with 0 deaths consistantly as it is not designed to be usable without upgrades, which is one major problem of ulc: almost everything is complete dogwater until you get upgrades. then when you get upgrades most of the time it becomes unbearably overpowered. now that we're out of starter stuff we can talk about.... later game ulc.... yay.... ok so first off we have dull knife. dull knife. it's dull knife. you get it at 60 wins. it has 3 lives (for free) the strongest dps in the game, the highest stamina dmg in the game, the biggest hitboxes chara team sided in the game, the best debuffs in the game, the best self buffs in the game, the best healing in the game, the best support in the game, the most tankiness in the game, and the most consistent high mobility in the game. need i say more? you say it's 60% skill but a man that consistently loses with low tier fell and plays like dogwater can easily win against any non extremely powerful sans team characters, even then it probably could sweep just fine if every dull knife player i've seen hadn't just come out of the hospital after receiving a lobotomy. it is the most atrocious thing i have seen ballance wise in any svc, like this is comparable to JUDGEMENT DAY level ballance like holy crap, i call it ians favorite weapon for a reason, like first we had horror axe then this! and thats just dull knife! we have snow ring too! i have no idea how they somehow decided it was a good idea to uberbuff this thing? like it's heal is fairly spammable, heals for 15. has non-deteriorating overheal that stacks infinitely without any sort of expodential reduction in quantity given or reduction whatsoever. it obliderates stamina from hp and dodge characters alike, and it's a ranged weapon, and it has a 3 multihit melee, it's heal also has self healing of the same quantity (15) with the same properties, and it's debuffs it applies on every ranged move that are extremely detrimental are PERMANENT until they stack high enough to cause a DETRIMENTAL BURST EFFECT. it also gains tp just fine over time so it doesn't even have to approach the sans to be in the corner spamming heal prayer, or just ranging. now i won't go over any morechara team weapons like... horror axe. since you probably get the point by now. now for sans team. we have fell, where it's blaster and most of it's 2nd phase moveset is force dmg standalone by themselves as long as you aim them properly without any support from other attacks. unless you have some sort of evasive or defensive move on chara team or some absurd movement speed if aimed directlyn on your characters current position these AOE's are literally inescapable and do uncanny amounts of damage. then there's outer. all i'm gonna say is ever since they changed its triple blaster into the new model (which makes the beams bigger and the blasters fire faster) it is now a consistant source of force damage, and do i even need to speak of the rest of it's moveset. then we have last breath. and it's first upgrade. the one that gives you super spam force damage blasters. need i say anything else? then we have disbelief. yippee now every phase of disbelief is extremely viable alongside phase 3 being a free win that if you lose with it you are complete dogwater at videogames and should uninstall system 32 since they also made PHASE 4 really strong aswell! then we have outerdust. outerdust. need i say more? hardtale is probably one of the only good characters left, underswap papyrus rework is actually fairly nice. revenge is unusable until you have upgrade 2 in any fair situation, and at that point of the game your probably gonna always be facing a dull knife anyways. and even after you get that upgrade and even upgrade 3 if the opponent knows anything about the character your just doomed. (0 stamina regen in phase 2 with a moveset that relies entirely on your opponent approaching you, the worst stamina efficiency and regen in the game for both phases you run out way too fast, and the only way to keep your stamina at any reasonable level is to consistently land the counter, and even then you are gonna run out real fast. i leveled this thing manually in publics against people bellow my skill level and would only properly win if one teammate threw and gave me bar, of which you are never going to get nor maintain playing against competent players. we also have dustbelief. i don't need to say anything else there is far too much to say, and low tier fell. and we also have.. what else? neutral sans although i'm pretty sure that's apart of the content they just removed, and that's just about everything off the top of my head. i will make a follow up comment in the replies of this one detailing the balance and balance problems of ufs and maybe some of the things i like (or liked until they were changed by ian or someone) in ulc as i have grown tired as it is late at night and i have a life so i need to go to bed at a somewhat reasonable time, goodnight.
Holy fucking yapparoni,ULC'S starter characters are great if used correctly,little sans becomes a monster so does science and papyrus,now the rework for classic wzs NEEDED the character was ass and if you wanted to beat classic sans or atleast survive you'd need great fps and that's not fair is it,the classic rework was an experiment to see how far one dev could push himself and it's great hardmode sans actually deserves to be removed from the game since that shit was made by ADRIAN! The ulc team is slowly trying to rework thingz that need a rework and it requires patience as for the chara morphs they'rr being reworked uptading takes time and won't instantly com3 off you need to wait for the game to get better.
@@yeahnvmnvm1331 little sans BECOMES a monster with skins and a bunch of exp. my point still stands unless we get into a server with my friends and you get any exp playing upgrade 0 little against 3 competent people. classic wasn't ass before the rework it was just fine as it was, it was a defensive character and you probably don't know how to play those. the only problems were the jankiness of the box attacks but even then with their horrific hitboxes they can be no hit. your problem with it seems to be that you run on a low end device, which isn't at any fault of the character. as i said current classic rework is just fine if it were to be a hardmode rework. as i don't believe movement grappler burst attacker really fits normal sans in any pheasable way. you didn't seem to read my comment in it's entirety as i did say science is the first playable character. i levelled that thing from 0 exp myself, my point is when put against opponents of equal skill as science (max) you aren't going to win unless you become a god gambler and consistently get stamina regen pots. and if you have no upgrades in fair conditions skill wise? no exp. i levelled papyrus too from 0 exp to max and yes i still believe it sucks and in fair conditions skill wise you wouldn't get any exp. i get that they need time to work on the chara morphs but it feels mostly like they are being ignored in the development of the game. also don't insult people while trying to argue with them, not saying i care but as a word of advice it is not going to make the person you're talking to listen to you and might invoke some bias from the other party when they are responding to you, if your goal is to convince someone that they are wrong try and refrain from provoking them, lest you are intending to provoke them, in which your point becomes suspicious, as it points to you having some sort of significant bias in the conversation. also if you wish to continue this argument i have no care for the slow boring crawl that is youtube comments arguments, it's like sending angry emails back and forth. if you wish to converse further with me on this topic, please send your discord username so we may do this at a significantly faster pace.

@@HeyHelloHiGreetingsHiyaHowdy the problem with box attacks is this: -you have a stable 60 fps -he uses the box attack -you have a lag spike -your soul becomes as slow as a snail despite you having 60 frames,and classic was outdated as hell i had managed to go on 20 win streaks with him by simply camping evey chance i got the way you played the character was EXTREMLY boring it's like dustswap but worse the rework for it is deserved,but it shouldn't havr been THIS uptade,it's supposed to be the papyrus uptade so reworking an even MORE outdated character like TS swap would've been better but i see problems arising from that since ts is Wip Hell uptading a character like dustswap would've been better,or even just focusing on the singleplayer rework which is something we've been waiting for a year or so,again i apologize for me being rude.

The gambling is optional and not that bad. plus even if you can buy crates ,u can still get them without buying and they dont take 4 years 2:07 WRONG! ive played agaisnt very skilled chara's and won by being very skilled. ufs is SKILL based. 2:13 i used pacifist sans and at the 3rd round of me using him i got skilled enough to win consistently. so wrong. 2:21 that is so wrong its painful. here is how. in ulc, some charecters are actually stupidly broken. and the bad game design makes some stuff impossible to beat. for example. maxed red, bonewalker, littlehyper, outerlittlehyper, outertale sans having a oneshot move bassicly, and more battlebox attacks are impossible to beat. the attacks move way too fast if your computer is any semblance of GOOD and lowtierlittlefell has the LONGEST ONE. but even all the other ones are BROKEN. ok but what about chara team? chaos sabers can get to the sans bassicly instantly real knife + dt is braindead rushing but it works and the chara can get a stupid amount of revives. stick is useless agaisnt hp charecters, which btw, U GET IN LOW WINS- toy knife is sweaty as fuck and really annoying to deal with. burnt pan rework at release had 3 seconds of broken invincibility. its hard to tell the ulc devs care about the game anymore. 2:24 i already disproved that 2:31 WRONG! in ufs, the balance is way better then any other svc game, because evrey charecter requires skill, in ulc i can name many charecters off the top of my head that dosent require ANY skill. even the most "broken charecte" in ufs, requires SKILL. and i can prove it, u cant spam and win as ruins dust. u cant spam and win as horror sans in ufs u can spam and win as red in ulc, u can spam and win as outerlittlehyperdust in ulc. 2:32 it entirely depends. is there a sweat on sans team? then that one sans will win evrey time. is there a sweat on chara team? then sans'es wont win most of the time, but its an 80% chance to lose, not the 99.99% chance to lose like u said. is there a sweat on both teams? then its 50% chance. so yeah way better then ulc's 100% chance if you use pacifist sans. in a public server 2:37 wrong again. ive beaten many sans'es with 1 other chara or alone, because the sans has barely any dodges or hp with only 1-3 chara's there 2:42 then u havent played ufs past 200 wins. 2:46 already explained how its wrong. 2:49 its not the skins update fault due to them being optional 3:03 yes but not for the reasons u stated. there video mostly countered. The better models are ofc UFS but ULC atleast changes movesets and stuff. The best game is UFS but they are lazy as hell and dont do constant updates.. the gameplay is better, the hitbox are mostly accurate, the combos arent broken, the souls are balanced, the gameplay is FUN, the mechanics are way better, the music is fire and fits the gameplay which is more arcade, etc. And the balance is not true tho. At least when you’re playing with/ against the top players I find it very possible to win as sans. You’re grossly over exaggerating this issue. I’m not saying UFS has no problems. I’m not going to make a case for the whole skins situation, though if I wanted to I could probably argue on skins doing something causing the game to be more luck based in general. More on this, ULC handled the determination soul horribly in its past and in recent iterations. Finally, ULC has a huge problem of not being new player friendly, even if you get to 100 wins once you get to public lobbies with ppl who have 8K wins or even just 1K you get absolutely cooked. This is because they have some stupid max upgrade sans that is so much more powerful than that noob can handle with their lower tier weapons and the like. UFS, however you can actually win with pacifist, being one of the best in the game, you can win with the stick weapon and a basic soul, and finally the hitboxes aren’t as jank as they are in ULC. Pretty much all the ULC players I see today are just loyal players. I could go on, but I’m seeing how long this message is.

Seriously when the game released I knew it wasn’t tested enough. There was too much things that disappointed me despite the chance I gave to the game. One of best thing they did was probably the hp/dodges scaling but even this didn’t fix the issue of being destroyed by 5 charas during sans rounds.

I don't think UFS doomed itself with low amount of content, it's mostly because of the quests forced on your throat and the win lock thing, the quests are kinda undoable because if the charas are more than 4 then you lose in a heart beat, like really 4 players with some of them having DT instantly makes you lose so you won't be able to complete the stupid quests that are forced so yeah... UFS really ruined itself with the release and the conpect of win caps.
So, here's what i think.
Yeah, the game remuneration was kinda wacky and all over the place (skins mostly) But what frustated me (my opinion) the most was the gold farming. It's literally just a chore for something that isn't even that much greater than your current thing. That's why i really love how in ULC you unlock almost everything by having wins

Skins are a great way to add cosmetic variety to your characters and entertainment to the game depending on how you do it, but UFS didn't cook with the skins, instead they burned the entire building down and took their game along with it.

I think the main problem with UFS is that they kept adding too much grind for too little content (especially on the chara side)
Needing 150k G and 60 levels just to be ABLE to buy the asriel combo (which costs over 100k gold from what i remember) is insane
short but sweet, i like it. As a one of the current devs of ufs or at least whats left of it i assure that we will try to make things better. Even tho some decisions that have been currently taken are not the best, me and the rest of the team will try our best to put out whatever content there is left to see if we can at least make it a bit less of a hassle to play and more enjoyable.

ruins dustdust is a buff because he doesn't have a long-ass cutscene before the fight (meaning that chara team ult cooldowns are set to 0 instead of full as soon as the fight begins) and the map is a way smaller corridor instead of a circular arena, which makes his fire hazards way harder to circumvent when they block the path to him
Harlem crossbones is just jank in general
Flowey possession sans makes the entire map dark as hell and it doesn't light up until a few seconds after the match begins, so the sans can spam attacks while everyone is waiting for the lights to come on and they can't see them coming

alright, so let's get started on this little adventure i have decided to put myself on.
first of all the first 2/3rds of the video:
literally just an opinion, the lack of skins doing anything does not impact how the game plays in any way and is in most cases better than having the skins actually do something, you're not forced to spend your money on skins and it's just a thing put into the game for late game players to sink time into like most games with skins, in the vast majority of games skins don't do anything as making them do so usually throws the balance completely out of wack.
i don't really care for the first bit of the video although it confuses me that it is the thing you seemed to of started with.
now for the ulc vs ufs in terms of balance, and this is the part i dislike and where the video falls apart.
let's go over ulc's gameplay loop really quick, let's see. chara team you start off and rapidly unlock very viable and some of what could even be considered overpowered equipment, the chara characters are practically forgotten and all chara team progress is practically instant at win thresholds due to not needing exp to level anything up as the characters are essentially useless compared to the weapons which is a lame choice since the characters are the literal only thing you have to sink time into to make more powerful, but regardless of that. what would happen if you first joined the game, or joined on a new account, and played sans team?
let's go over the starter characters, we have little sans, science sans, papyrus, pacifist, classic sans, and underswap papyrus. little sans is completely unplayable unless you abuse glitches to send the chara team to their spawn in the hall. you have to be fighting an alzeimers patient or 2 year old to do anything as it. science sans is the first character that you may be able to get an actual kill or 2 against early game equipment chara team if you play good enough. as it is the first character which has actual damage and defensive moves. as well as survivability, even then if you are fighting competent players using things like TOUGH GLOVE. (might of rebalanced it but pretty sure it's still atrocious due to the balancing practices of the devs and all the shadow updates.) you aren't going to get kills and in turn it's not gonna ever become a viable character in fair battle conditions. Then we have pacifist. same boat as little tale unless they made him deal like 30 dmg. you are not getting any kills as that thing if the people your fighting are competent even in the slightest. then we have papyrus, again even though i personally have gotten kills as papyrus and leveled him myself, in any fair conditions even accounting for everyone having around the same wins you are not getting kills in any sort of fair for both sides in terms of stats and skill conditions. and so far i haven't been talking about WINNING I'm talking about getting a single kill. now where were we? ah classic sans, the thing that should have been a hardmode rework instead of reworking one of the only interesting fun characters to play in the game. there's nothing wrong with classic, other than the fact it replaced a perfectly fine character instead of replacing hardmode, in the game where over half of it's characters are far too outdated they chose to waste their time on making classic sans a grappler that looks like it's out of a fighting game rather than an svc, woulda been fine for hardmode but it don't fit classic for crap, not like what it used to be. as for balance I'm not up to date with it due to my immeasurable disappointment with it, but from what i remembered when i played as it in a server filled with my friends around my skill level i absolutely leveled them any round i played as it despite not knowing the moveset. so imma just say it's a bit fricked, although i have been able to consistently beat it in publics although that is probably mostly because roblox players are complete trash at video games far more than the average enjoyer of games in my vast experience on this crappy platform. like, seriously who gave CLASSIC SANS, 2 MELLEES (ian probably tbh). now underswap papyrus, somewhat useable ig but with only phase 1 it completely collapses in a fair fight with the chara team sweeping it with 0 deaths consistantly as it is not designed to be usable without upgrades, which is one major problem of ulc: almost everything is complete dogwater until you get upgrades. then when you get upgrades most of the time it becomes unbearably overpowered. now that we're out of starter stuff we can talk about.... later game ulc.... yay....
ok so first off we have dull knife. dull knife. it's dull knife. you get it at 60 wins. it has 3 lives (for free) the strongest dps in the game, the highest stamina dmg in the game, the biggest hitboxes chara team sided in the game, the best debuffs in the game, the best self buffs in the game, the best healing in the game, the best support in the game, the most tankiness in the game, and the most consistent high mobility in the game. need i say more? you say it's 60% skill but a man that consistently loses with low tier fell and plays like dogwater can easily win against any non extremely powerful sans team characters, even then it probably could sweep just fine if every dull knife player i've seen hadn't just come out of the hospital after receiving a lobotomy. it is the most atrocious thing i have seen ballance wise in any svc, like this is comparable to JUDGEMENT DAY level ballance like holy crap, i call it ians favorite weapon for a reason, like first we had horror axe then this! and thats just dull knife! we have snow ring too! i have no idea how they somehow decided it was a good idea to uberbuff this thing? like it's heal is fairly spammable, heals for 15. has non-deteriorating overheal that stacks infinitely without any sort of expodential reduction in quantity given or reduction whatsoever. it obliderates stamina from hp and dodge characters alike, and it's a ranged weapon, and it has a 3 multihit melee, it's heal also has self healing of the same quantity (15) with the same properties, and it's debuffs it applies on every ranged move that are extremely detrimental are PERMANENT until they stack high enough to cause a DETRIMENTAL BURST EFFECT. it also gains tp just fine over time so it doesn't even have to approach the sans to be in the corner spamming heal prayer, or just ranging. now i won't go over any morechara team weapons like... horror axe. since you probably get the point by now. now for sans team. we have fell, where it's blaster and most of it's 2nd phase moveset is force dmg standalone by themselves as long as you aim them properly without any support from other attacks. unless you have some sort of evasive or defensive move on chara team or some absurd movement speed if aimed directlyn on your characters current position these AOE's are literally inescapable and do uncanny amounts of damage. then there's outer. all i'm gonna say is ever since they changed its triple blaster into the new model (which makes the beams bigger and the blasters fire faster) it is now a consistant source of force damage, and do i even need to speak of the rest of it's moveset. then we have last breath. and it's first upgrade. the one that gives you super spam force damage blasters. need i say anything else? then we have disbelief. yippee now every phase of disbelief is extremely viable alongside phase 3 being a free win that if you lose with it you are complete dogwater at videogames and should uninstall system 32 since they also made PHASE 4 really strong aswell! then we have outerdust. outerdust. need i say more? hardtale is probably one of the only good characters left, underswap papyrus rework is actually fairly nice. revenge is unusable until you have upgrade 2 in any fair situation, and at that point of the game your probably gonna always be facing a dull knife anyways. and even after you get that upgrade and even upgrade 3 if the opponent knows anything about the character your just doomed. (0 stamina regen in phase 2 with a moveset that relies entirely on your opponent approaching you, the worst stamina efficiency and regen in the game for both phases you run out way too fast, and the only way to keep your stamina at any reasonable level is to consistently land the counter, and even then you are gonna run out real fast. i leveled this thing manually in publics against people bellow my skill level and would only properly win if one teammate threw and gave me bar, of which you are never going to get nor maintain playing against competent players. we also have dustbelief. i don't need to say anything else there is far too much to say, and low tier fell. and we also have.. what else? neutral sans although i'm pretty sure that's apart of the content they just removed, and that's just about everything off the top of my head.
i will make a follow up comment in the replies of this one detailing the balance and balance problems of ufs and maybe some of the things i like (or liked until they were changed by ian or someone) in ulc as i have grown tired as it is late at night and i have a life so i need to go to bed at a somewhat reasonable time, goodnight.
Holy fucking yapparoni,ULC'S starter characters are great if used correctly,little sans becomes a monster so does science and papyrus,now the rework for classic wzs NEEDED the character was ass and if you wanted to beat classic sans or atleast survive you'd need great fps and that's not fair is it,the classic rework was an experiment to see how far one dev could push himself and it's great hardmode sans actually deserves to be removed from the game since that shit was made by ADRIAN! The ulc team is slowly trying to rework thingz that need a rework and it requires patience as for the chara morphs they'rr being reworked uptading takes time and won't instantly com3 off you need to wait for the game to get better.
@@yeahnvmnvm1331 little sans BECOMES a monster with skins and a bunch of exp. my point still stands unless we get into a server with my friends and you get any exp playing upgrade 0 little against 3 competent people. classic wasn't ass before the rework it was just fine as it was, it was a defensive character and you probably don't know how to play those. the only problems were the jankiness of the box attacks but even then with their horrific hitboxes they can be no hit. your problem with it seems to be that you run on a low end device, which isn't at any fault of the character. as i said current classic rework is just fine if it were to be a hardmode rework. as i don't believe movement grappler burst attacker really fits normal sans in any pheasable way. you didn't seem to read my comment in it's entirety as i did say science is the first playable character. i levelled that thing from 0 exp myself, my point is when put against opponents of equal skill as science (max) you aren't going to win unless you become a god gambler and consistently get stamina regen pots. and if you have no upgrades in fair conditions skill wise? no exp. i levelled papyrus too from 0 exp to max and yes i still believe it sucks and in fair conditions skill wise you wouldn't get any exp. i get that they need time to work on the chara morphs but it feels mostly like they are being ignored in the development of the game.

The better models are ofc UFS but ULC atleast changes movesets and stuff.
The best game is UFS but they are lazy as hell and dont do constant updates.. the gameplay is better, the hitbox are mostly accurate, the combos arent broken, the souls are balanced, the gameplay is FUN, the mechanics are way better, the music is fire and fits the gameplay which is more arcade, etc.
And the balance is not true tho. Sans team has alot of chances to win. ULC balance SUUUUUCKS. Sucks alot.
