I gotta say I prefer Alien franchise space marines. 40k is the shit, but Space Marines enjoy way too much plot armor and circlejerking, especially Ultra Marines. Give me Hicks and his squad of ultimate badasses any day! I guess that's why I've always preferred IG over the Astartes.
Also Warhammer 40k "Don't you think the aliens are fascinating, we should study one" whomever is around him from citizen to guardsmen "DIE HERETIC! and burns said individual alive" And if they try and keep it a secret, Arbiters or inquisitors come out the shadows "claims of innocent serve on only to prove a foolish! lack of caution"
As prior military the rank system in this universe drives me crazy.. This guy has been a corporal for how many years now? In a past story he was 2nd in charge on a ship just under a major or colonel.. don'ts matter that's not how this works. Even in this example. They have a great idea and the corporal is the one to talk to the head guy.. is there no sergeant or who does he report to? Are you just born into the rank you stay for the rest of your life? How does promotion work if at all.. All the "privates" are also really old in all the movies. Someone had to have been in the military at some point.
Ill say it once again here is the best comic review guy on youtube , hands down . I would love see you do a few other of my favorites . I think the Thing comic series would be great with your video style .

This is great stuff for before bed. I've been having sleep trouble lately and this is far better than reading a book or worse, blue screen. Not super fast-paced or narrated on triple espresso, just the right level to relax. Wonderful work, just need to string 3hrs together of this story & I'd pay $30 for it on audible.

As has been stated before, ALL of the aliens would attack until there were none left, to save an egg or the Queen. Relentless attacking, while the marines. would do their best at erradication, and saving their own LIVES !
Alien world needs a core revamp. This world looks like equivalent of steam punk, people visualizing future by stretching what technology they have at that time. It felt good aesthetic wise for first or second time. But as we dive deep technical misshape and story elements create a subconscious disconnection between me and the story, at least to all other parts except arc of alien itself. Like for example: 1) how is a society capable of traveling from one star system to another in weeks time, doesn't have advanced spy system that scans and maps target planet before humans actually steps foot on said planet. 2) It is not easy to hijack cars these days, yet i'm seeing so many space ship hijacking i gives a whiplash of GTA in space. 3) What's with the weapons and armor of combat unit. It's worse than what we have now. Automated gun doesn't have to shoot thousand round per minute, they don't have to be stationary. 4) Yes the computer system, obvious still need to revamped. Now that i think about it, Prometheus had better research data on architecture of such a human society(to some extend), story was good too. I suppose if you strip these 90's machine, 80's concept of a society and the environment it creates, it takes away certain aspects of alien franchise with it. Still i wish someone could revamp alien franchise world but also keeps what made alien movie that good.
