I have been going down nostalgia lane recently and began playing through all my Hamtaro games. I enjoy Ham Hams Unite and heartbreak best, but Ham Ham Games is a close contender. Love the video!

I love those games, finding all the hamchats were a chore but the series is just so kushy and cute. I really adore it.
Also a funny story about the howdy and dexter part of unite, when i needed to save dexter I misread “heating patch” as “heating pad” (I was 6) and to summarize ever since then I called electric blankets as heating pads.

Hamtaro was my jam as a kid. I have such good memories of watching it with my best friend and playing with all the little figures we each owned. It was the reason I ended up getting a pet hamster. That first hamster led to many more over the years and got me into the world of custom cage designs. I've always low key wondered if the show airing resulted in a noticeable spike in hamster sales at pet stores. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to go about trying to check for that so it instead remains a charming little thought to tuck in with the rest of the hams.

Oh I bet a lot of kids wanted hamsters thanks to Hamtaro haha, yeah I'd love to see some kinda stats on that.

Glad you ended up in my recommended before you blow up. Your video essays are well produced and really well scripted, keep up the good work! :)

Thank you! I really appreciate it a lot. I've been making videos for years and I would have kept doing it even if they'd only get 50 views each. I just love making them. But hearing positive responses from folks like you has made me enjoy this whole process even more.

I would probably love Ham-Hams Unite just as much as Heartbreak if not for the terrible bowling game you have to complete just to get Cappy to come back to the Clubhouse, like bruh, that was MAD frustrating for young me lol.

Haha fair enough, I liked the Tack-Q bowling but I also didn’t play this game as a kid. I could imagine young me getting mad at it tho

Hamtaro was such a hit in my household growing up; me and my older siblings would watch it together and it made us want a hamster SO badly, but luckily my parents were wise enough to not get us one just because of a tv show (also we had cats). We also played Ham-Ham Heartbreak and the Olympics game like crazy, especially my sister; she was scary good at those games 😂
Btw, where did you get access to the English dub episodes? I'd love to watch the show again, but it feels impossible to find nowadays!

      That’s awesome to hear haha.
Also, the episodes can be found on Internet Archive (but they’re VHS recordings and the quality isn’t great). I got mine from a torrent lol
