Getting a developer interview is really cool. It's exciting to hear that Marcus now owns the rights. Fingers crossed for a remaster/remake. Such a charming little game deserves new life.
OH MY GOD YES I AM SO HAPPY WE FINALLY HAVE POSITIVE COVERAGE OF THIS GAME!!! I did a video year ago covering this game where I talked about obscure childhood fears, seeing that you were able to interview the developer of the game was very exciting and learning that Marcus bought rights to the game makes me really happy. I admit I had no clue Gast scaring system affected the time of the final train, but I guess that makes sense. I am surprised you didn't bring up the spiritual successor to this game at all, Grumpa. Grumpa uses the same system but also adds combat mechanics. It also does have decent amount of puzzle mechanics. But seeing the concept art of the game and hearing about the game getting a followup just makes this girl so excited!!! I really hope Gast followup pans out well, and I really wish this video gets more attention!
Thanks for the very nice comment! You’re right, Grumpa could have been good to mention. But oh well, live and learn. And yes, talking to Marcus was so cool! He was such a nice guy and we had a lovely chat. I really hope he’s able to bring Gast back in some way because I think it’s wonderful.
the memories
Just a Lil guy ❤
