When they say base iso does this mean using 800 iso works well in sunlight? I mean I know I can up my arpeture to darken but I don’t wanna lose my 1.4 look. In that case should I deviate from the dual base iso at that point?
It means to shoot log footage you have to be at 800 iso for base iso. It can go lower or higher from that but what you would want is an ND filter to help darken the image without changing your depth of field look.

Thanks for sharing! I am wondering what causes overheating, no cooling fans or related to GPU performance? My A6700 has overheating issues within 15-20min. 4K 60P video/timelapse recording. Under 1080P setting, it can record more than 30 minutes without overheating automatic power off.

It going. I know they added that cooling board or passive cooling thing to the newer cameras but I would assume that the fan is the prior radon it kept going.
I really love the video that comes out the A6700 compared to my GH6, but most likely gonna be returning my A6700 and keeping my GH6 due to the overheating. Thinking I may get the FX30 if I decide to replace the GH6. Everyone seems to love the colors out of the GH6 but I've never been a fan at least for outdoor recording.
I'm returning my A6700 bc it recorded for 3 MINUTES!!! Before overheating. What a disaster. Looks like I'm buying the FX30.

That was something I had not considered, but my FX30 was set to HIGH on the temp setting during that test. From my understanding however, even in high, you still get temp warning on the screen at the same time however. But I never got a high temp warning. My fan was also set to AUTO. Per the FX30 user manual, Sony says at 104 deg F, it should only record for 60 min in 4K 4:2:0 8 bit. I am pretty sure it smoked right past that.

Yes it does, it’s the same exact chassis as the FX3.
