    I am from Ecuador and I could perfectly understand the video even if I only know a little English :D
    Your explanation is too good and it has helped me a lot since I am a beginner in alpha patterns.Thank you very much (if something is not well understood, it is because you use a translator)

    I made one similar the one with the sharks #22139 and it is really bumpy and not flat at all. Did I tie my knots to tight or something?..

      Alex I thought you could help me the alpha I am currently making one of the base strings snapped. So,is there any way to fix a snapped base string in an alpha ?Because I was really enjoying the pattern and then this happened.

      #26140 on BB is a really simple heart keychain that you could try. Also #41493 is mike wazowski’s eye from monster’s inc. which was my first alpha.

    • @calliphoenix5425
      @calliphoenix5425 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    What I struggle with is a combination of two things you showed. When you're switching colors on the edge AND you have two strings poking out. I've tried using the regular switching pulling up both strings and putting the new leading string between. (Not sure if I'm making sense.) Not sure which way I like better. I'd hoped you'd do that in this vid! Lol

    • @AlexInnovations
      @AlexInnovations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try just switching using the technique I showed on the edge; try to keep the first string held back, and then use the second string (the most recent one) to switch with the upcoming string. I did not think about this scenario 😂

    Hi Alex!
    Great video, beautiful bracelet!

  • @RoastedMarshmelon
    @RoastedMarshmelon 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hmm, I've been trying this technique for the past hour. In theory it seemed pretty simple. Now when I make the first forward knot, pass the yarn over / and under /////, and make the second fwd knot, the other color is visible behind the new color. If I pull hard, it kinda disappears... but as I keep knotting the next knots, the spot of color becomes obvious (even if I pull on that yarn behind) and it seems impossible to hide. Kinda like an extra knot. It's a mystery right now :/

    Haven’t actually done an alpha bracelet yet, but this actually looks easier to me than a normal color switch? Lol just watched the video of how to do normal color switches

    So im doing a pattern on bb following the pattern their are couple times were the row finishes with one color and the next row starts with a different color. any tips

    • @AlexInnovations
      @AlexInnovations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try ending the first row using the straightedge technique and then beginning the next row with the straightedge technique with your new color :) I have a portion in my 6 Alpha Tips and Tricks video that shows how to use the straightedge technique! :)

    • @AlexInnovations
      @AlexInnovations  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      it might seem harder at first, but once you do it a few times it’s really easy to remember! I end up “defaulting” to this technique due to how many times i’ve repeated it :)
