Thank you so much for the tip of crochet thread for the base strings!! I have just started alphas and now everyone wants one and I just hate wasting my floss on the base strings so this is perfect!!
This is going to be SO helpful because I tried an avocado key chain but it bubbled up SO much! Thank you so much! And I am completely fine with waiting for your videos. I think this because you are my favorite bracelet TH-camr so it's worth it!
I find doing small sort of key chain type alphas are good for practise especially as you start to add more different colours. Thats what helped me anyways
Don’t let haters get to you. You should be so proud of your bracelets and there just jealous that they don’t have a good company and a wonderful talent like you keep doing what your doing! This is your passion at least I think so lol ❤️❤️❤️
These tips are awesome! There’s just one part I didn’t quite get, from 4:11 about switching strings normally :( can you elaborate more if possible? Thank you♥️
Hi alex! I don't want to be a Nuisance but I have the same problem with my string sticking out at the end and I was hopping if you could explain to me how to “switch strings normally” please and thank you ✨❤️
even when i try the bf and fb knots on the end of the rows it still ends up wonky. also when i do that method the actual rows don’t stay straight, like the knots on the side go upwards so it creates a slightly flattened ‘u’ shape. would you just recommend practice or is there any other method?
honey bracelets sometimes, if you tie your knots really tight, it can sometimes curl up, especially when you have fb and bf knots. Tension is really important. If you want to learn more, please go to either braceletbook.com or friendshipbracelets.net and visit the forums to have a more detailed answer. :)
Hi Alex, I hope you're doing well and I have a question for you! You mention lightly about avoiding showing string on the side of the bracelet. You showed the yellow string showing on the sides of a blue background bracelet ( I hope that made sense). I've been having a lot of trouble avoiding showing switched strings on the edge of the bracelet and was wondering if you can explain how to do that?! Thank you very much in advance and hope you're healthy and safe!
@@AlexInnovations Ahhh thank you so much!! I love your videos btw! I started using your loop triangle to bracelet technique ( I know there's another name but couldn't think of it) :p. I find Alpha's easier than normal patterns which is weird. I just can't make normal patterns look good when you skip over a color on every other step. Maybe you know how to make it look nice? I was watching a video that you add an extra string on each side and just forward and backward knot and opposite only on those strings. It just doesn't make sense when the ends have different colors (if that makes sense). Sorry to bombard you with questions, but I thought you may know how to explain to do it! Thank you again!!
Hey I’m just starting out with Alphas and i have this problem that the knots kind of looks bent and not so neat, i use the flat alpha technique. How do i overcome that?
Alex's Innovations thank you!! I looked the thread up and they used to have a size 5 also but seemed to have discontinued it. I haven’t made an alpha before but I’d like to, is this something you’d recommend starting with ??
Hi! I’m just binge watching some older vids lol, do you use any balls of thread instead of skeins? (Not for the base of alphas just normally)If so could you please tell me what brand and size? I’m running out of black and white and it would be much cheaper buying balls, thank you!
hey, does someone know how i can make triangle ends with crochet thread as a base? bc i use embroidery floss for the loop and everything but then one of this embroidery floss is going to be a base string and it has a different thick than crochet thread
Hi! Check out the supplies I use here: th-cam.com/video/mZ9FNijjsgI/w-d-xo.html&lc=Ugx7PQOdEKqM_g5aSIh4AaABAg I like to use embroidery thread for the working thread :)
when you're talking about the strings sticking out and showing the Ikea bracelet that has the issue, what do you mean by "switch strings normally"? i've only ever used the flat alpha technique and i have the strings sticking out issue all the time and i don't understand how to fix it. should i just watch a tutorial on alpha patterns that doesn't utilize the flat alpha technique in order to understand what you're talking about, or is there some trick to it? thanks in advance to you or anyone who answers me
My alphas keep separating on identical rows (the rows with the same spots where the thread changes) with your tutorials and I have no idea how to fix this
If I do the straight edge method, how would I change colors in the pattern of the new color is on the edge. I know how to do the normal straight edge method. When I do a different color on the next row, how would I do the edge?? I can’t find an answer anywhere
I mean I would never send hate because I'm not that type of person... but wibbly wobbly timey wimey... that's funny since I know where that comes from! ;D

Same! I loved these tips 😍
hi! i'm starting to make alpha bracelets, i learned how to make shaped ends and they look awesome! any suggestions for my first alphas?
Maybe try the two or three colored ones that aren't that big. That's what i started out with.😊

I use crochet thread for base and main string I prefer embroidery floss for alpha bracelets but normal patterns I prefer crochet thread.
This is really helpful!! I'm just starting with alphas so thank you so much ☺ Ps. I thought it was Homer Simpson in the bracelet lol

Courtney B hi!! instead of using the flat alpha technique, you can just use the normal technique when switching near the edges! :)

Hi, did u find it?
Hiii I have a idea for your Instagrambracelet from your bracelet collection. Do you want to hear it? Love your videos❤️
sure!! what’s your idea?
Hii! Love the video as always! 😍 Isn't this @SoftAlpaca pattern? That's me! 😍💞
I was watching it with subtitles on and it corrects knots to nuts 😂
oh no!! omg 😂😂
how do you make your knots so vertical? mine always slant and it’s a big struggle of mine!
Great video :) what is the pattern for the watermelon arrowhead you showed?
Can you suggest a link for graphing letters, as in the ikea bracelet?
The base thread you use, is it around the same size as the DMC Perle size 5 ???

Hi I have a question for you! what size crochet thread do you use?
When I use the flat alpha teqniuqe (no idea how to spell that) the thread I was using before ALWAYS peaks through, please help!
M Bevans try pulling on it after you know with the next thread so it doesn’t poke through!
Alex's Innovations thank you so much!

is dmc petra thread size 5 thick enough? also is aunt lydias size 10 too thin?
when i do alphas the knots dont look like yours they look like how my knots look when i do regular bracelets can i get help ?

just switch back to the normal switching technique for the edge! :)
Pattern that you where making in this vid?
if you can’t hate on them ,confuse them.
