The little red ball is a small squishy sponge ball (classic trick ball), that he just has squeezed in his right hand the whole time. Notice how his right hand is in a fist like he's holding something until the red ball is revealed. And he only uses the thumb and first finger to hold the black cloth.
Actually it would have been easier if the ninja girl dressed in colours that blended in better with the surroundings, like a real ninja would've done. =P She should've been wearing beige clothes and white boots or something like that.
at 0:33 see the ninja foot between his legs. This could have been filmed all at once; the dixie/paper cup is on the door jamb, not the door, it is not in a different place the during the explanation. The red ball is collapsible foam and was in his right hand. Another well done video, Quirkology! The color changing card trick is still my favorite.

At 0:19, you can also see something that doesn't belong on his left side (right side to us), as he nearly finishes the turn. (easier to notice at 0.25 speed, naturally)
when he puts the cloth by his side, you can see through the cloth and you can see the ninja using that extended stick thing to hand the ball watch it again
I rewatched to try to catch the ninja but I saw that when he walked closer toward the camera to bounce the ball, that allowed the ninja to "escape" the room.
When he throws the red ball it doesn't bounce off the chair at first but when when he shows the camera at a different angle when the trick is being shown the red ball bounces off the sit. Must have been twice for some reason.
At first I thought it was split screen, the way he walked into the room. Then was mystified when as he exited he walked through where the split screen would have been! The answer was a lot easier... and harder :)
if you slow it down the ninja was very visible during the few frames she got in the shot during the video and that cloth was too thin i could see the orange ball before he pulled it out but i thought it was a little smaller
Looking at the out takes and the fact that's it's nearly impossible to see the person behind you leaves me wondering... how long did that take you to get right?

When I do a magic trick, I'll always know there's a ninja behind me.
If you watch the video at 25% speed, you can sometimes see some errors still! But at normal speed, I wasn't able to notice anything, well done!
