I have 2 in a 55gal setup w twin powerfilters....feed once a day ,and fast them once a week. They are all great, and never have had a swim bladder issue. Tank kept at 76 degrees.

Very cool! I stopped by an imported fish store earlier today and saw one of these in person for the first time. Wow they are so beautiful!

Good video thanks. I remember years ago, going into my local fishkeeping shop and he had a shallow open top aquarium on the counter with the most impressive and massive Orandas cruising up and down...

I love telescopic butterfly tail black moors. Do you by any chance have a care guide for them? Sometimes they turn orange. I want them to retain their velvety black rich colour. Thank you.

They’ll do fine with 65F but they’ll be at their best between 70-77F. I keep mine at 75F and he does perfect.

great video, i noticed that you sucked out the sand from the bottem and then replaced it, is that something that i should be doing as a oranda owner ?

Hello. What should be done to grow the head of a goldfish?
My black Oranda goldfish got sick, after he got better, his color went away and his head got smaller, he eats well. What should I do to get his color and head back?
What effect does sunlight have on goldfish?
    Please help me 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Sunlight can definitely help with changing the color of your fish, I find though that the lighter the color of the fish the more tanning effect the sun will have on it, and it can fade away again during the winter too! There's not much to be done to feed for wen growth, their body decides where to put their growth, sometimes its muscles or sometimes its wen, but keeping the water as clean as possible and feeding high quality foods with higher protein levels does allow for better growth, so they're always the best starting points!

Have you got any info on typical behaviour for an Oranda? I have a Panda Oranda 6 months old, sits alone a lot of the time and not very active for the most part.

Thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰 I have a bunch more in the works at the moment, some more species profiles, lots of mini aquascape builds, axolotl and pond videos all lined up so there's loads more on the way!!! 🎉🎉🎉

I would like to see more long Orandas with less head growth, and more healthy breeding, as far as possible with this variant. the Orandas on the market today are, in my opinion, grotesque enlargements and not graceful at all.
Longer slimmer fish with good tails and less headgrowth then do be better swimmers, and have less oppressed organs.
I plan to cross a comet goldfish with an Oranda for a slender strong fish with minimal head growth, but I am not a breeder and do not have infinite time and financial resources at my disposal, but I will do it in the future. I wish more people would work on this cross there is a video on youtube, I can't post a link but search comet tail x oranda for an example of such a fish.
