Love the Aeon with Sliqx. Surprised USD hasn't tried to make their own sliders yet. Also great little video, huge fan of Ant; his videos and even more so his blading. Makes skating look fun, loads of control. Cheers again for the video Jumbo!

I'm surprised USD hasn't tried to change their game up with the souls either, because that seems to be everyones only complaint about them. Seems like an easy fix, but then again, they were ok with letting the xsjado souls be super slow for like... 15 years or something, haha.

@@jumboblading Would be cool to get a dual-pour Aeon. Hard plastic for frame and plate, then switch to softer for upper. I wonder if it's a problem with mixing plastics. But that would make an already expensive skate close to carbon fiber territory. One piece construction must be difficult to work with.

I’m a nerd when it comes to skate products. I like to hear about the how and the why. There’s always a story behind why someone chose what they chose.

Cody, this is the best episode of Jumbo so far--certainly my favorite. I could listen all day to dudes like Anthony talk about their liner woes and skate crises. Just make sure you cover people who are as talented, knowledgeable, and thoughtful as Anthony is.

I'm about to film a few more "jumbo setups" here soon. It's too hot for "real" sessions, lol. I'm happy you like them though frank! I also always thought it was fun to listen to someone speak in depth about their setup. Not just "what" but "why." I know you know, haha

When I got back to blading I was in love with the Aeon but after a while I felt like the hblock was actually impairing my precision by being too wide (e.g. for backslides). I still skate them to learn tricks, they are great for negatives. I never go ao with them because of the fear of sticking. When I feel like riding with more control I go back to my m12.

I’m an avid hater of the aeon boot, lol. I like to Frankenstein my setups as much as possible. But Anthony’s setup is cool with the sliqx plates.

    Interesting video. 💯
I was gonna go with the USD Aeon EQT 60 Skates for my next pair, but I can’t separate myself from the Razors Genesys skates.

You can do it! Aeon frames are the best ones to learn with. It'll just require a little bit more focus. We don't realize it, but when we're doing frame tricks anti, we're can be on "autopilot." Not having to think too hard about it. I like that it's difficult. Brings a sense of pride to the trick. Not to mention being able to roll faster and have more maneuverability is a huge plus

Aeon GANG!! 💪Nice setup breakdown! Stock Sliqx (5mm added thickness) and the low frame definitely will have you missing until you get used to it. I started shaving mine down a bit, but then just went and created my own CNC'd slimmer version (3.25mm). Aeons are also great because now I've stopped buying every damn new frame that would come out, haha. Just concentrate on skating now. 👍

To be able to finally find "the one" skate and only be able to focus on skating is the way. You get so much better at skating that way. I was in a crisis too until I tried the Seba CJ carbons
