    Great review. Brief, to the point, includes only the critical info we need. Thank you :)

    What about PRX ONE vs Everse 50 ?

  • @johnlane6459

    Good video,I’ve not heard either but it sounds like the G3 is aimed at solo singers that don’t require big bass. I’d like to hear the mids because most of these columns tend to have weak mids.

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you want mids, you have to go with Bose, but then you lose a clean high end :(

    I tested these side by side and the LDs sound good in highs but not the bass. The PRX ONE are good all around and can be adjusted with the app. The Sub/Bass on the PRX sounds better too

    I sold my Bose Pro8 & JBL Eon MK2 because I'm planning to upgrade to a 129dB range column PA such as the Bose Pro16 , LD Maui 28 G3 & JBL PRX One. Other brands are waaaay expensive here that's why it didn't made my list.
    Most of my application for these speakers is DJing and usually need more punch from the sub. I was thinking of Bose s1 Pro Plus so I'll have a light and handy battery powered PA and will just accompany it with a 12 inch active sub if it's a bigger crowd but idk if the s1 and 12"subs is a perfect match and if it can reach 129db that I'm aiming for
    Would love to hear your opinion
    Thanks!

      Pro8 and Eon Mk2 I never purchased, good job you got rid. I would wait for the LD Maui 28G3 Mix to arrive before making that decision & upgrading. The Maui 28 G3 Mix will be heavier than the PRX One and have more flexibility & functions than the Pro16 which I had 2 off and got rid.
      I would wait till next year before making that 129dB upgrade. Also, are all of your above Column PA choices rated at 129dB? 🤔

    • @romanocastillo7271
      @romanocastillo7271 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@opaz. Sorry for the correction. The three choices have an average of 127dB peak. Reason I mentioned max SPL is for more headroom. I’m not going to push it near that level though. Just nice to have more sound output and not hear the speaker struggle of which the pro8 & mk2 were. That’s why I’m upgrading to a column with decent highs & mids and a more powerful sub bc the tight punch usually gets the crowd hyped lol

    I purchased the JBL PRX ONE on July 6, 2023, unfortunately I had to return it due to the Pro Connect App not allowing me to use any of its audio controls. I could play music via Bluetooth, I can see the PRX ONE in the Pro Connect App's interface, I had updated the firwate. Now I am wating for aq replacement PRX ONE to be returned to me. My second observation is tha the PRX ONE gets extremely HOT! So hot, that you cannot place you hand on the back as it will burn my had. I think this is not right. I feel that the exessive heat will shorten the life expectance of the PRX ONE. What is your advice, should I purchase some other band? Thank you.

      @rafaelunplugged 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      normally after firmware update you have to forget all the bt connections from the PRX as if it was new - then it should reconnect. silly - but necessary.

      Unfortunately you will not achieve all you require from either system.
      You will need to buy the LD Maui 28 G3 MIX if you do not have a mixer for microphones, if you have a mixer the 28 G3 will be fine
      The LD MAUI will give you:
      1.vocal clarity,
      2.strength in music & vocal mids and
      3.definitely the max volume output
      The Sub2 will have the bass. The LD Maui will have a better balanced sound

      @@opaz. thanks for respond. I am not worry mixer which I can get one. I am more worry about 3 items you list out, 1. vocal clarity, which I like it in bose, but I think S1 pro+ is at max don't sound good as LD 28 G3 at max. If I did stick with S1 pro+ I am thinking adding the bass Bose F1 woofer or Sub2. but I am worry top end vocal. I don't have a shop here have any LD 28 G3 and I hate to order only to return it if I do not like them.

    In your opinion, how many wedding guests could the PRX handle without complaints about it not being loud enough? Do you think it can do well with 200 guests?

      Increasing bass on the LD will not make the bass frequencies go as low as those on the JBL

      I have the Diamond Boxx 15", battery powered sub and PA10 (10" tops). They are loud as hell and the sub is fantastic, but the tops sound kind of harsh. I have two tops and two subs. It's a nice outdoor, battery powered system, but I would not recommend it for a main system. I use it for cocktail hour sometimes when I need battery powered speakers.

      In turn a good question. I never bought the Polar 12 but I did demo one many years ago. I think the 28G3 MIX has great potential when it arrives and is the one to look out for. I believe the column performance alone on the G3 is a reason to purchase it over the Polar.

      I don't think eq can fix the comb filtering in high frequencies because of 2.5" driver and its spacing.
