Painless360 I wonder if you gents can assist, my INAV 2.0 will respond to throttle only, when I use the yaw, roll and pitch, the FC responds in the configurator receiver panel, but the quad motors do not respond? Any thoughts?
no problems with F3? Do you have to reduce some options to has lower CPU load? He said the F3's might follow F1s' soon and I just wanted to build my s800 based on omnibus f3 which I have in the drawer, maybe better idea would be already to get some F4 or F7?
If you've got a F4 that's 20x20, I' certainly would've uset that for the extra UART, but no, I turned off the compass on my Beitan BN-800, and are running F-port telemetry on the last UART. Turned off nothing, autotuned the PIDs which were too high on P on the pre settings S800 thingy. The reason I used a 20x20, was to cram in 6 Li-Io 18650. 6.2Ah get me a looong flight:-)
I have spare Omnibus F3 as I have replaced it with matek f405 ctr in my quad and I wanted to use that omnibus in the s800. F3 and F7 is nice as you do not need inverters so f.port is easy to setup, not sure, maybe I should just order another f405 ctr from matek or their "wing" model.
I really like the mandatory mixer. I never was able to get my C1 Chaser in the air with 1.8. The surfaces needed way too much fine tuning in the servos tab. They never did move properly. Now I just used preset s800 and wing mixer and my servos are perfectly balanced. Waiting for a no wind day.
Great work Pawel! I'm loving the changes in 2.0, but what happened to the Flaperons selection in the Mode page? I see the "model has flaps" switch when I select Airplane in the platform type but it always turns itself off right after I enable it? Is it an unfinished feature or am I doing something wrong?
Also altitude hold combined with angle mode my planes goes into cruize, my throutle goes into a predetermined value, in my case I set up to 70%. I do not have control over throutle in that configuration :)
I am running the INAV for fixed wings group on Facebook ( facebook.com/groups/INAVFixedWing/). What I am seeing is that around 1/3 of the folks on the board say that they are using at least one F3 board. What I am suggesting is that people may need to hold onto an older INAV configurator for older boards They should still work in the future, but at some point INAV will move on and the newest features will support the newest boards. Also, at this point you won't be able to get tech support for the older F3 boards. I guess the question is, is this correct, if someone is happy with an F3 board, and it works for them, can they continue using it if they keep an older configurator?
Does exist a way to restore stock setting for servo mix from the osd? I did something wrong in the servo mixing setting it up from osd but I can do it via usb because my fc have usb problems
Thanks for a very informative video, once again! But whatever happened to the flaperon mode? I'm trying to implement crow braking on a glider using flaps and ailerons, and there's still the "flaps" input in the mixer, but no mode ("flaperons" as in previous iNav versions) to actually activate that. Or am I missing something obvious? I'm using this with Matek F405-wing.
Already tried that, but after selecting it & clicking "save & reboot" (or "load & apply"), it always reverts to being de-selected and I cannot find the flaperon mode :/
Hello Pawel, I just finished building a mini skyhunter and setup with INAV 2.0RC2. Everything seems to work very well except for the failsafe. Whenever I activate the failsafe, the motor will reduce speed and spins very slowly, but whenever I activate the other modes like heading hold or RTH, the motor spins faster which is normal. My question is do I have to put RTH and Failsafe on the same switch? Thanks
the nave launch no longer works for me and i have omnibus f4v3. it wont let me arm and then also wont let me arm in any flight mode afterwards unless i power down and power back up in a different flight mode.. i was a huge fan of nave launch for my wing... i am kinda disapointed
Is there a Inav Slack? I need some serious help with my mini talon running inav 2.0 RC4. Ill be taking dvr recordings and blackbox logs tomorrow. RTH is completley funky, and autotune is of absolutley zero help. It does a insane jerk when you activate rth, that even managed to cause stalls 3 times today (saved in manual mode). And its idea of a 100m circle is doing a 350 meter one, with a minute amount of banking, and instead trying to turn with yaw/rudder. Something that really never should be done on a fixed wing vtail. All the values are set to allow a 45 degree bank, so i have no clue what its trying to do.
You are absolutely right, there was no such request. Just after the appearance of this option in Betaflight, I thought it was a "must have". Especially after several cleaning of the lens from the remains of insects. In any case, a great job has been done! Thanks!

hi there, i have an F3 board with omnibus betaflight fw, then i sucessfully flashing omnibus inav 2.0 in it, but it wouldnt connect, after that it says taking too long, serial closed failed to open.... how can i fix it, or is it wrong firmware
I just upgraded my inav quad to 2.0.0 RC2, something strange happen to the motors -> I only have roll control when I switch Air mode on. In the other words, if I do not turn on Air mode, the 4 motors are rotating at the idle speed after I armed them, throttle control can work ie. to increase the motor speeds. I believe this is related to Mixer page. At first I did not config anything there all motors simply did not turn. I realized that and load the mixer for Quad X, four line with '1' appear and I save and reboot them, then the motors start to rotate but seems I do not have roll control as described above. Can you tell me what can be wrong ?
Too bad about the F3 boards, but nice to hear about boats in upcoming updates. I currently own an F3RCExplorer TriCopter, but in the future... I'm planning to build an RC thug boat with forward side thrusters and GPS hold.

First, thanks for your video's been subscribed for some time. However, I have been away from the hobby for a couple of years, and my last F3 omnibus 320 quad was flashed with Inav 1.9.x. My question is can I update to Inav 2.x.x on this F3 omnibus? Trying not to have to reconfigure the quad as it is flying good for my skill set. But wish to add the GPS functions to the 320 quad. Can I just copy the Diff in the CLI of existing, then reflash the F3 to Inav 2.x.x, then paste back in the Diff copy into upgraded Inav 2.x.x. I have searched many posts, but atlas no specific that I was able to find on upgrading. I have upgraded the Inav configurator to the lastes version, but have not tried changing anything or connecting to the F3 omnibus board. Thanks in advance
The new mixer gave me an idea and I wanted to ask you if you thought it was feasible before I put in a request on GitHub. Would it be possible to get an S Bus output from the flight controller, then connect that s bus out to an independent S Bus/PWM decoder to get more pwm outputs than the flight controller can support?

Paweł Spychalski sorry this is a bit long. I bought the FCHUB-VTX when I got the f405. The next week they released the FCHUB-W..... (I was not happy) but oh well use what I got, make the best of it..... long story short I broke the FCHUB-VTX 😢. I've had the FCHUB-W im my banggood shopping cart 4 weeks now (I forgot to use your affiliate link, I'm so sorry) waiting for some spare cash to buy it. It's $15 US, Not too expensive but I just can't justify it right now, besides I don't really need it with my current setup. Fast forward to today when you blew my mind with this video ( my camera servo now works exactly how I want to and I don't need to use two receivers in my airplane anymore very happy day) then you dropped fat man! My puny 4 pwm fixed output with kind of three others that I can't change are now 7 pwm outputs however I want them to be. Then I think to myself it sure would be nice if I had more than 7 outputs for things like candy drop, split tail airplanes, or whatever other crazy idea I can come up with and believe me sir I can come up with some crazy ideas. So if I can get an independent current sensor and a PCA9685 I'll have more functionality had half the price of a FCHUB-W.

Pawel, I downloaded 2.0.0 rc1, and following your instructions was ready to flash the new version into my FC board. I have the SPRACING F3 board, and right now, is loaded with the latest FW (1.9.1). I was expecting to see a 2.0.0 version for the board, but that didn't happen. Therefore, the question is if this 1.9.1 will work with iNav 2.0.0 or should I wait until there is a new FW for the SPF3?

I too ran into this issue just this past week, Omnibus F3 with Inav 2.0.0 RC3. Only Flash pick I saw was for the 1.9.1 from April 21 2018, this combo did not work as the motor tab was missing. Did the Github with 2.0.0 flash for F3Board.I missed the show unstable releases when doing the on line hex flash pick.Thanks for the great work Working good now.
voltage in osd just says 16v and just main voltage doesnt give the 16.x voltage, it this the new reading or a bug? and if i throttle up it sags to 15v doesn't give the .x value and the the end of the ost isnt covered up by anything else.
Well I come back from a test of inav v2 rc1, it's horrible level Pid it's almost impossible to set. As much in 1.9.1 I had no problem that the v2 rc1 I can not solve it. Setup : quad racer Fc : matek f405 std

NoAgenda FPV i remember a time they took it out of the modes tab, because it did not work good enough. Never used it myself. But i saw it in the video that it is reintroduced now? Or is this only possible with wings? I have a x quad

Save and reboot fails for Omnibus F4 V3 - I have to unplug the board and plug it back into the USB port to connect again.

You have to switch "Has flaps" checkbox in Mixer to make Flaperon mode available

Nice! But there is still no option "motor direction is reversed" in configurator. Even in new mixer. I know, it's easy to change via CLI, but...

we are not supporting that. And to be honest, if UAV is not worth thousands of dollars it's well...

No, because the drop down menu in 2.0 does only shows 1.9.3 as the latest FW for the board. That is my problem

I too ran into this issue just this past week, Omnibus F3 with Inav 2.0.0 RC3. Only Flash pick I saw was for the 1.9.1 from April 21 2018, this combo did not work as the motor tab was missing. Did the Github with 2.0.0 flash for F3Board.I missed the show unstable releases when doing the on line hex flash pick.Thanks for the great work

voltage in osd just says 16v and just main voltage doesnt give the 16.x voltage, it this the new reading or a bug? and if i throttle up it sags to 15v doesn't give the .x value and the the end of the ost isnt covered up by anything else.

Well I come back from a test of inav v2 rc1, it's horrible level Pid it's almost impossible to set. As much in 1.9.1 I had no problem that the v2 rc1 I can not solve it.
Setup : quad racer
Fc : matek f405 std
Nothing changed for Level PIDs for quite some time. And without a blackbox log, no help possible
I have inav2 installed on a omnibus f4 with a m8n.
I have 3D fix but in the flight modes, i dont have any options for gps.
Anyone have a clue why?

Thank you so much i hav been fighting i nav for a while i'm setting up a Carbon Bird Avatar i was first using the Hero Air 32 without much good fortune so i am now using Mateksys F405 - CTR so far so good if i can just setup the servo operation as it is not a one servo rear operation but is 2 sided operation I am so happy to find this video I have been searching for help mostly you and Painless 360 I did not know to go to unstable Flashing you answered this for me and now i can get into the mixer i flashed the RC4 i hope that is ok because i am running INAV RC3 Please more help! i'll drop some contributions in the bucket.

What issues did you have before? I used it on 2 different planes, iNav 1.8 and 1.9.1 with no issues.
NoAgenda FPV i remember a time they took it out of the modes tab, because it did not work good enough. Never used it myself. But i saw it in the video that it is reintroduced now? Or is this only possible with wings? I have a x quad
Hey, Pawel... is custom and custom airplane mixing still going to be available in 2.0 ...also will the current 1.9 with f1 mixing going away or still usable in the future...1.9 has been great for some exotic mixing that I have been working on lately, 2.0 looks like some mixer features are not going to be available... hope I'm wrong . thank you all for the great work ...and also started working on your GPS thingy (not so simple for us old guys)video included of your inav in flight...th-cam.com/video/koOqenMpvck/w-d-xo.html
