First, THIS IS LITERALLY THE PERFECT LEAF 😍😍😍 i followed along pretty easily, while medicating 🙂 it was about half way through when i began to wonder… what is a “half double”.. isn’t that just one 😩 then i realized i was just lit and crocheting with deep thought. Thank you for your service !
Thanks for this great tutorial. I made this with size 4 yarn and a 5 mm hook and it turned out great, it’s a little bigger than the full size of my hand spread out
My daughter wants me to make her a garland of these but I've gotta find the perfect yarn first and then I'll get busy making a bunch of them. The yarn you used is perfect. Texture, color, everything. Thank you for this great tutorial!
I used the red heart 100% acrylic Paddy Green! I love mine! And I used it to make bra cups and doubled the thread to make it extra firm😁 they were lovely
Perfect! I am going to maybe remake this using 4 weight yarn! I am so glad you liked it ! I hope you have subscribed to my channel and have gotten to check out some of my other videos 😊
Thank you for the tutorial. I am going to sew it to a granny square. I am making a pair of pants for someone, and they wanted skulls and the cannibas leaf. Have a wonderful day 😃
That was fun 🙂 I tried it with a light 4 (maybe?) yarn and size G hook. Not quite sure I did it correctly, there seems to be a lil extra space between the stem and leaf area, but not bad otherwise for being a beginner (plus I got to do my first triple crochet stitch☺) 💚😎
You just taught me what a double crochet was! I was struggling for so long to tell the difference between a half double crochet & a double crochet :) ty so much
I am a first timer here and love this pattern. I’m deaf in one hear and it’s very hard to follow videos ! But you speak very well and I’m able to understand you pattern directions perfectly. Thank you so much 😸
I LOVE making these. They're so perfect every time and very easy to slap on a granny square. All my friends are jealous and now watching this video. Thank you so much 🥰
Thank you for this video, i did in fact make this into a granny square, just used the instructions from another video and my years of practice with various other stitches. i wish i could add a pic
Ok I just have face book. What I did is added 4 chains to the back in a square and worked a granny out from that picking up stitches here and there through the back of the leaf, "sewing " it on. I hope that makes sense. I attached the yarn, chained 4, slip stitch, chain 4, that's one, then then did that in a round. Then like I said started a granny from there
Hey Morgan I just finished making one of these with Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton and it turned out great! I'm trying to stiffen it up a bit right now. 🌿
There are so many things you can do to stiffin it up a bit. I make things with crochet thread and sometimes you need to stiffen those projects up. I wish I can remember the best method I learned. If I find it I'll post another reply.
Thanks, this tutorial was super easy and mine came out pretty cute. I used a 3.5 E hook with a medium (4) cotton yarn in a variegated green and brown color. Going to attempt to turn it into a granny square to add to a blanket I'm making. Also, PS. If you wanna know the botanical terms, the petal-like parts of the leaf are called leaflets and the stem thingy of a leaf is called petiole =)
Thank you!! Such easy tutor to follow, I've been looking for this now I can make it for some friends. & add some chains to make it a barefoot Sandals!!! So I Thank you!! & I Subscribed!!! Been Crocheting for 3yrs. now since I had breast cancer, crocheting is such a relaxing hobby!!!
Thank you for this simple pattern. Also this was such a great tutorial. Thank you again for explaining for us beginners/next step. Its perfect for my herbal friends 😉✌

YAY!! I am so glad you liked it! I hope you have subscribed to my channel and have gotten to check out some of my other videos 😊 What did you make with this leaf?
Believe it or not, I found this looking for a small maple leaf pattern to follow, lol! I used Crafter's Square Princess Yarn...in burgundy cuz it's all I had in the way of thin yarn, lol, and a 3.5mm hk. It fits in the palm of my hand and the leaflets curl up. I'm def gonna try a heavier weight yarn and bigger hook next. I have absolutely no clue what to do with them once I make a bunch, but it was fun and easy to make, so there's that!
Great video! So easy to follow & explained so well! Thank you for making & sharing!! 🤩 I crochet along first time & then didn't like the hole in the center from the beginning. So I started my second leaf with a magic ring & could close the hole! 🙂

why did you use two strands of yarn? can I do this pattern with a single strand?

th-cam.com/video/OPhL43IfuCU/w-d-xo.html
Im a beginner, and this has been pretty simple to follow but im curious, how would i make one bigger, say double this size?
You can do a large size yarn and hook. To make one double the size though I feel it would need a change up on yarn weight, hook size and stitch count
Can you use
any yarn?
Yes 🙌
Can you do this with a single ball of size 4 yarn or do you really need to double up the yarn to get the same effect?
This The yarn she had on hand and it was too thin, so she doubled it up.
❤️
Is there a way to make this leaf bigger?
There is by doing different stitch count 💗 I can sit down and work on making one
