Great tutorial! I love these groovy flowers! When I was a kid in the 60’s, we had these flowers on everything! Our bell bottoms, our school notebooks and flower stickers plastered all over our bedrooms! Great memories these flowers bring back. Thank you!

      On TV shows too.
Laugh-in & Dating Game comes to mind. They had them as a backdrop on their shows.

this is an amazing tutorial and amazing pattern!!!! i’ve always wondered why i struggle with patterns that use a slip stitch. you explained perfectly which stitches counted and when not to use them (AND ACTUALLY GAVE A CLEAR VIEW TO THE CAMERA OF WHAT STITCHES THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT) can’t thank you enough- now i know what i was doing wrong 😅

These GrOoVY crochet flowers, would look so cute if mini versions sewed on to a pair of like boot cut jeans (or any jeans for that matter!) front pockets, on the back pockets, or on the bottom! I definitely need to try that on a pair of my jeans! Thank you for another amazing tutorial! P.S. sorry I’m late! Love your videos! ❤️

I tried your flower, but I wanted a tiny one to put on a dolls beanie, so I had some fine cotton and used a 0.75mm hook. OMG what a challenge, it came out beautifully, I’m not very computer savvy. I did it in white & yellow it’s 4.5cm . I love it. Thank you. ❤

    • @FreyaStaer

Your tension might be too tight. Try using a bigger hook. acrylic yarn tends to curl as well, so cotton or bamboo might be better for this kind of pattern. :)

I love your easy-to-follow tutorial on this amazing flower! 🥰I have taken your flower pattern and am working on an oversized beach topper with this motif in the center 🌸 it's going to consist of: 1) Front panel 2) Back panel 3) Two sleeves 🌼I'm also using the granny stitch for the panels and sleeves, so it's got a retro look 🏵 I've made 2 of these flowers, one for each panel; but I have a question on this: I've not found a pattern for this design I've created, so I'm having to write it all down and work it out myself 🙇‍♀🪡✏I have made the back panel already, but the yarn I'm using for the center (where I begin connecting the petals to each other) is puckering terribly! I'm not sure if it's the type of stitches I'm using, how many I'm putting in between the petals, or because I didn't block the work before I started on the square portion which makes the shape of the panel. I believe I'll have to go and rip the ENTIRE BACK PANEL OUT so I can rework the pattern😓 If you have the time, if I were to email you (I don't use social media besides pinterest) a couple pictures of my panel and the pattern I have written, would you look through it and help me figure out where I've messed up? I thought maybe you'd have some pointers that I could put into practice as I power through this pattern. I'm already going through the original and making up the front panel (using fewer and smaller stitches around). I know you're quite busy with all that you do as a creator and crafter, so there's no pressure to email me immediately, I can wait for your reply 😊 Have a wonderful day!
