    Miigwech!!! It is not always easy to see a shadow on the ground, esp there a lots of plants and its cloudy but I like to know the basics about how to orient myself in the four directions all the time. Just in case I will bring a compass in my backpack. I am grateful for your stories which I found out about when I watched Annette Lee's videos.

    Tansi... I lived with my grandparents for many years! 'ol indian way to keep orient yourself constantly , is look at the two most important trees in a boreal forest... aspen and spruce. the moss on aspen (high on north face), the branches are longer on south face of spruce✌️💪

    Thank you. I am sure native elders know that The earth is flat. The dome of the sky rotates around the pole star which is located on top of the dome.
