Not only should you have gloves on to deal with the blind purchase but a filtered face mask too - we know what mutated Cordyceps can do. At least the slabbed comics were all good (except for CGC not noting a few details in the labels).
Those comics were trashed! So glad you were able to secure a refund. Keep hunting!

The blind box opening was hysterical. I was sitting at my desk in my office just shaking my head and laughing. Sorry if that came off as mean, but the books were just so bad, and your reactions were gold. Glad to hear you got a refund!

I have OCD/ADHD (diagnosed and have medication) so I go nuts when my cases aren't all identical. I've spent a few dollars in my day re-slabbing just for consistency. 🤪

I bought a cheap UK Captain Britain comic on Ebay. The interior was filled with mold. Immediately took it directly out to the trash. It was cheap so not worth it to send it back. I was honestly worried he might try listing it again. I contacted the seller to let them know that they couldn't list something in that condition and ask if they could double-check anything else from that batch that was listed. They acknowledged it, But I'm pretty sure they did nothing about it.
With whatnot, you can get insane good deals on high end books Everyone wants to spend $1 and get the world
Thanks for showing … sometimes you take a chance ..roll the dice and it’s a disappointment. Those books were obviously in some kind of flood .. you can see the bottom staple is rusted out on a bunch of them. Prob why the pics were blurry they weren’t gonna go high rez on those.

I'm going to focus on Star Wars and Marvel plus maybe Batman too.
#1 issues and 1st appearances will be at the centre of my collection.

Hey, we all have those mistakes! I remember buying 3 perfect copies of a book off the newsstand that I figured would be worth a lot someday. --And that book was (drumroll please!) SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #1!! - Yup, still have them in raw Gem Mint condition. (Naturally, "cause who's gonna pay squat for 'em!!) Yeah, great investment! Good thing I bought lots of other books that did pan out in the long haul!!

Why did the seller even bother with the sleeves?? I’d be ashamed to own books in such terrible condition, and would def never sell them. That seller knew what they are doing with the blurry pics. What a shame. Glad you got refunded.
My theory is rats, mold, and all the elements meets sitting in the garage for 40 years lol

Despite the grades of the blind box, I'd say you made your money's worth.
*_This Magnification process you do on your videos? Did you try placing the camera further in on the table and the books closer to the camera? Might even help to zoom in a tad as well. Just to eliminate any more tinkering with your videos, to save time._*

Honestly books in bad condition like that are usually the way that I pick up keys without spending any money on them so you might find somebody who wants them despite how they look haha. Probably not the moldy ones though
Get an X-Men or Magneto or John Wick 2 Micro-tech switchblade as a knife to open boxes dude. They look and sound cool and you can write it off. $700 but totally worth it!!
Nice one with the GL/GA 9.8. I bought Marvel Zombies when they first came out as a set, and I'm really surprised such a lightweight comic became a phenomenon. Yes, I love zombies, but...what's the point? Pleased, anyway...

Love your videos. What do you do with your books you can't sell? I bought a long box and even in a group of 10 books on ebay I can't sell the filler books for .99. Do you donate, recycle or just keep?

When you reslab, do you press? Doesn’t a reslab keep the grade or do they have to regrade it?
My understanding is it will keep the original grade unless something really stands out. Then they'll take a close look at it. Personally I don't think they should ever reduce the grade.
A reslab doesn’t necessarily hold the same grade. Most of the time they do, but not always. As an extreme example, CGC slabs are not waterproof. So you can’t dunk your slab into a bucket of water, resubmit it, and get the same grade… even though I have seen it happen with a Daredevil #181.
The fact that Avengers #200 is in the best condition of all those crusy marvel books you have is really sad considering what an abomination Avengers #200 is.
