I really enjoy the fact that you have a collectors spirit and are completely fine with a lower grade because the book is meaningful to you. That is a rare trait. I have a lot of books from my childhood that came in with lower grades. And you know what? I am perfectly fine with it. The books are yours and that's all the matters. I own several sets of the Wolverine Mini Series ( all graded above 9.0s), several Secret Wars #8 ( graded in the 8.0s) and I am totally fine with it because I bought them when I was 13. Cheers!
Congrats on your grades! My Patsy Walker Hellcat also came in at a 9.6 with zero grader's notes. It's literally in perfect condition. I have another copy that I might send in as part of a 9.8 pre-screen.

Great books! I keep going back and forth on picking up an Avengers 257, but I wish Nebula was somewhere on the cover, but then again it would probably sell for more if she was! I believe ASM 315 gets somewhat "overshadowed" by 316. Wolverine 1(1988) is a tough book with so much black on both the front and back covers. I picked up a Marvel Premiere 47 in an 8.0 white pages last year! If you do get a Bradshaw sig on the Sam Nova book, on Surfer's board would be great placement for that busy cover...Happy New Year!!!
Nice batch! The Marvel Age and MP 47 are my fav of those covers. Todd is one of the greats to draw Spidey! Forgot who drew 47 but man that's a fine piece of work. If you can bump up the sound just a little bit.

In 1992 I got Wolverine 1-4 for a $1 each. All are in great condition. It was a huge score even then.

Is the Marvel Tales #106 a printing error cover ?? The upper right corner has yellow near the comics code. I’ve never seen that before. Great books.

I agree. A corner ding would bring you down a point. There must be something else going on. Check for foxing, structural damage, a tear?
I have a Marvel Secret Wars 8 in a CGC 9.6 grade. Also...it is a CANADIAN PRICE VARIANT! Not a common book you can find especially at that grade!
