That was a great video showing the background of the character and so e nice ways of showing theis new body mold / buck for the future marvel legends figure. You show it as not that perfect , it s true but it looks good anyway , some things can be fixed li,e the use of different plastic for the joints. I really hope to see Cyclops ( maybe in the first era X-Men '63 look that needs to be redone) with that buck as well as Havok , but Corsair (would love to finally see that one) . Seeing a character like Gambit with that new mold would look great for the poses. Being a huge XMen and Summers family fan really dig that review. ( do they plan to update women s buck on ML as well that could be good too )
Yup. They are working on new female body mold. The regular ones like Shriek and Siryn. The newer taller female molds will be on the Frankie Raye Nova figure from the Haslab Galactus.
That war of kings omnibus keeps eluding me. I have Road to war of kings omni and the aftermath omni. Great storyline. Been wanting a Vulcan figure for a long time. Great summary and review!

Finally we get the new body type that's gonna replace the bucky cap mold but still this figure is amazing wished it came with effects
For real man. There’s always that one character that needs FX more than anyone in a wave and this guy falls victim to it. Just like Speedball in The Controller wave.
@@Xmanny87 Hope we get more of the reavers soon also characters that we never got before in the marvel legends line like kushala, red norvell, caiera, scar, or a female army builder for the skrulls, shield, kree, aim, hydra etc but that just my thoughts.
Thanks for the reveiw - it was a great video. I love the background section where the viewer can see what the comic book character references are on. That's a great style that I do not see a lot of reviewers doing as much. Before this video the only 2 things I knew about Vulcan was that he was a Summer brother and 2) that he was powerful. Thanks to your video I know a lot more and will be seeking out stories with him in it now.
Hasbloo did an OK job on the new buck, and as you said - with all the previously bucks, changes were made a long the way to improve it. Butterfly joints seems to be the flavor of the day, so that is going to be my wish list for changes to it.

The Bucky Cap mold updated has perfect splits. Like, butt to the ground, Chuck Norris and Van Damme splits. Tri Sentinel and AOA Cyclops, Quasar, those figures have that updated range.

10:49 I feel like an ab crunch on the top, and the ball peg at the bottom is a better combination for a standard Marvel Legends, if we're not doing the Diaphragm joint and ball peg at the waist combo, It’s got more versatility than the top Diaphragm and bottom ab crunch.

I collect marvel legends and I feel like Vulcan was the best Marvel Legends figure I got but I think Siryn is more cooler

I think the butterfly joints might be why the ab crunch has such a low clearance. In the older body there’s more room inside the torso for the lower abdomen. The feet are wonky though.

Thorough and excellent review of a very boring character/costume design... People are bagging on the Havok figure because it's such a "plain figure", being just solid black, but seriously, WHAT ELSE are they expecting from the figure, besides the awesome new effects...?!!
Havok is maybe NOT the most popular X-Man character, BUT he IS extremely well established and people tend to care a LOT MORE about him than some boring @$$#d ret-con Summers brother, (#4 no less, counting Adam "X-Treme" from one of the 90's Annuals series...), with a boring, bland costume, overpowered to compensate his lack of prior developed history, and then villainized to try and make him more interesting than he ever was to start with... Only he's a spoiled brat psycho, and THAT'S NOT interesting in the LEAST.
So Vulcan (really...? "Vulcan"...?! That's a name that indicates Flame oriented powers, or forging, after Greek/Roman god of same name, not energy manipulation... So yet ANOTHER strike.) is basically ANOTHER Darwin figure in this wave... Meaning he's a boring @$$ contrived character whom virtually NO ONE was demanding get a figure immediately, and Maggot falls in that category too, as regardless of his sudden & bizarre popularity NOW that he's gotten a figure of his own, NO ONE was really demanding a Maggot figure, and MOST of these sudden fans had likely forgotten about his USELESS Smurf blue @$$, because he was a joke and NO ONE knew how to even write or handle a homeless dressed, emaciated/hulking, Smurf blue moron, whose "mutant power" was that TWO mechanical worms were his digestive system...?! W.T.F...?!!!🤔🙄😑 ANNNNNND he intentionally chooses "MAGGOT" as his codename...?!!🙄🙄🙄 So, yeah, MOST USELESS, if not short term X-Man EVER, and ONLY even existed because of a bet between Joe Mad and a couple of OTHER pro comics artists back at that time, where he had to create the stupidest @$$#d character possible and get him on the X-Men team, which he was drawing at the time... And Marvel didn't say "NO", because his art style was SO popular, EVERYTHING he drew was like printing MONEY in THEIR eyes, so of course, even though they had NO IDEA WHAT they could do with the character, it was Joe Mad, so it hadda be awesome!!! Nope. People were JUST brainwashed or GREEDY (in Marvel's case).
Now, you MAY think this is me hating on a character that "so MANY people just love", (note the sarcasm), AND IT IS... BUT it's ALSO a true story, and I heard first-hand talk of it via THOSE SAME comics pros I mentioned earlier but did not, and will not name. I used to be a regular Artist Alley guest at Heroes Con in Charlotte for nearly 25+ years, and as an artist/designer myself, I often hung out with a lot of the pro artist guys in the evenings after the show closed for the day, whether at the bar, or at restaurants, hotel lobbies, or other after events, so I got an inside view of the pro comics industry, and heard the stories when they would talk to each other, and the story about Maggot being a character created as a bet, IS one of those stories... You can even look it up. It's hard to find, but it's out there.
I'm NOT the only one who knew about it, and THAT is why I HATE the lame@$$ character AND what he represents, because they took a book I enjoyed and made a joke of it by including a completely USELESS character... Okay MAYBE useful as a door stop, but let's not push it.😂😂😂
Anyway, all of THAT to say that basically, 3 slots of this wave were wasted on 3 characters nobody REALLY gives a DAMN about, and could have been used for nearly 100 OTHER, MUCH BETTER and more important characters in the X-Men universe... Don't make me name them, because I CAN. Hell, you mentioned AT LEAST 4 or 5 of them yourself in THIS video alone, NOT counting the ENTIRETY of the Imperial Guard, and hey, go ahead and toss in the Starjammers too, ALREADY hitting near 40+ and we haven't even gotten to Psylocke variations, nor New Mutants, Freedom Force, the Marauders, etc.,.!!!
I apologize if you're a Maggot fan and didn't care for my views, BUT I stand by them 110%... And I don't apologize for that. THAT DOES NOT mean I think less of YOU, or your awesome content, nor does it mean that I think you or ANYONE else should suddenly NOT like the character, JUST because I myself HATE what he represents, and therefore I HATE the character, such as it is... I'll get him for the BAF piece, but out of principle, I'll chuck his Smurf blue@$$ in the trash can, which is something I NEVER usually do, but am happily making an exception for him.
ALSO, I'll still watch YOUR review of the figure, because even if it's a figure or character I don't like, I STILL enjoy your take and content. I'm just putting my thoughts here with the Vulcan opinions, so I don't have to say anything else on the actual review. Regardless, JUST KNOW my hatred of maggot has ZERO bearing on my opinion of YOU personally, whether you even like the character or not. I know we don't always agree on things with regard to certain characters/figures, and we don't HAVE to always agree, lol, just as long as we look past the difference and respect each other's opinions, and our reasons for having those opinions. Like I've always said, I love what YOU DO and I ALWAYS enjoy your content, even if I don't always agree 100%... 9.9 times out of 10, I'm right there with you, lol. Keep up the great work, brother!
Btw, I'm kind of a big guy 6'4", 220-ish and I can actually get my arms at LEAST as far back as Havok's figure, maybe a smidge more... NOT necessarily a comfortable pose to hold, but yeah, pretty easy to do... Besides, comic book & action figures are supposed to be dynamic like that, right?😂
This body mold is a tad to tall where Scott stands at 6'3'' and Alex and Gabriel stand at 6'...That's why I created my own custom Cyclops using the Grim Reaper body mode with other parts. I would like to show you my customs
cant stand the shapes of the chest on the vulcan. Looks like an old man wearing a MAnzere. Comparing the chest muscles, Cyclops(bucky cap) chest muscles look better. Also agree with you on the legs, weird legs.
