The bosses of stages 1, 3 and 5 are based off the bad guys from the old Rollergames show from the late 80's and early 90's The first boss(the woman in the suit that runs around) is Ms. Georgia Hase. The man with the large pole-arm at the end of stage 3 in purple is Guru John Drew. And the man at the end of stage 5 on the jet ski is Chuck Skull.
really nostalgic, every afternoon we play Nintendo to finish this game, it's not the boss that is hard to beat but the stage to the boss that is the obstacle. Thank you friends, bring back my beautiful memories in the past
I remember having this game a long time ago....good memories. Ultra had a lot of good games back then. This, TMNT, Skate or Die 1&2, Contra, and the list goes on. Childhood memories will never die.
Ultra Games kind of only existed on paper. They were actually part of Konami, but existed to get around Nintendo's five games per year per company rule. However, Skate or Die was a weird thing , it was created by Electronic Arts (now EA Games), the first game they actually MADE (as opposed to just publishing), but Ultra/Konami got the NES rights.
This reminds me of that Nosferatu SNES game where the world's strongest puncher went after a vampire barehanded; this woman had nothing but rollerskates and *she could not be stopped.*
I can't believe after all this time that I'm just finding out that Rollergames is an action game. I thought it was a sports game. If I had known, I definitely would have played it back in the day.
About to say, this is a very far departure from the arcade version that Konami did, which was more or less like the show itself: A sports like competition.
oddly satisfying to beat people up with rollerblades, I'll be more impressed if you did the entire game with just Hot Flash (the platforming/obstacle course tidbits are hard) more or less it's a really cool licensed gem, compared to bayou billy though..at least in you don't have to do platforming. Edit: fun fact, the bootleg version of it apparently called DJ boy which sorta makes sense as DJ boy is also a beat em up with rollerblading in it.
@@edwardmason119 her speed proved to be troublesome for me when you reach the violators, I normally go for T-birds just to make the platforming a little bit easier. For the rest of the game, hot flash works just fine.
@@kieragard Well...most people didn't even knew it was a woman inside the armor. And I'm from the 80's. All the developers said that... female protagonists don't sell well. Phantasy Star was praised to have a woman protagonist in a RPG ✌️
Two of the three characters you are able to choose in the game are men and you have Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage with that same rule. Many games in the 80’s had female protagonists like Psycho Soldier, Athena, Valis, etc.

Right from the start i could tell from the music and graphics this was a Konami game. They had a really distinguishable style in the 90s

That's funny because Hot Flash is the only character I ever play with. The other characters are just too slow for me.

i think the game was based off the show
