@GeneralPelleScaleModels Hi general, Thank you for taking the trouble to get back to me again. Your voice in my opinion is great. I admit I'm at work and just had a quick listen. I'll watch the whole video when I get time in the next few days. I went back to subtitles for a while, but after running a poll, the majority of viewers said they preferred a voiceover. That’s when I started using the current AI voice, which has had a mix of reactions, although the initial feedback was mostly positive, and the videos with this voice have generally performed better (though that could also be due to the topics). Thank you for the feedback! I actually do speak English quite well, even though it’s not my first language. @@antonrudenham3259 Interesting thought. I honestly don’t watch much TH-cam videos by myself, so i actually don’t know how widespread these AI voices are. By the way, did you know TH-cam itself did launch a feature, were it automatically translates voice overs into another language using AI voices? So it will be much more a thing in the future. For example if you upload a video with English voiceover, it will be translated into German, Spanish, French and so on…. Not related to our conversation, but that just did come into my mind.

Alternatively, I’m also thinking about how to best balance subtitles, voiceovers, and viewer preferences moving forward.
Thanks again for your honest feedback, it’s incredibly helpful! I’m glad you’re enjoying the build, and I can’t wait to share more progress with you!
So I’m coming back to your comment. I just released my first video with my own voice. You can see it here: Behind The Scenes Of A Scale Modeling Channel - Tools, Stash, Camera, Lighting, Q&A.... REAL VOICE
th-cam.com/video/RccPrJIGZt0/w-d-xo.html - now I’m seeking your honest feedback on this. Is this really better?
Nice build, just the interior color is way off.
@@prokremelskidezolati1426 Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately I can’t change the color anymore. Maybe next time ;)
What's with the computer generated voice? I'd prefer to hear yours.
@@tonyennis1787 Thanks for your feedback. If you scroll through the comment section, you’ll find similar comments like yours. I already bought a microphone and will try it out for my next videos. Hope it will work out.
@@GeneralPelleScaleModels awesome. I look forward to hearing your melodious voice :-)
@ it’s more one with a German accent 😂😂😂 but I try my best, never did this before, so I’m a bit nervous about that. As said, hope it works out. It’s definitely more personal at least.
@@GeneralPelleScaleModels You're going to do great. I built a Revell 1:48 B-17 when I was a kid, it was great. I also built the Revell 1:48 B-24 and put them both what I considered a diorama 😀
The model shop that sold me the kits put them on display, so there's that.
@ Congratulations! That sounds like some valueable place to display your models. I also wish someone put mine on display one day… who knows ☺️
What's with the daft AI voiceover?
I don't have a problem with the builder using an AI voice as he probably doesn't speak English. But the voices are always so, well odd.
Guess we can turn the volume down 😂
@@markIburgess
I see your point, I didn't consider the language problem.
Thank you for the feedback! I actually do speak English quite well, even though it’s not my first language. That said, I’ve been using an AI voice mainly because I don’t think my own voice is particularly entertaining (and thats nothing i can change), and I tend to speak quite fast (thats something i could work on). I completely understand that AI voices can feel a bit odd at times, though, and I’m definitely considering trying a video with my own voice in the future. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it really helps me improve!
@@GeneralPelleScaleModels
I personally think that AI voices are awful and sort of sinister but you're not narrating a story like many AI voices try to do on YT, you're taking us through a model kit build and in that case the use of AI is not so important.
Thanks!
@@robertacott2671 Thank you very much! You’re very welcome! Your support means a lot, it really helps keep these projects going. Glad you’re enjoying the video
@GeneralPelleScaleModels you're welcome...I'm keen to see the next installment. I'm currently building this model myself (slowly) keep up the great work. Liked and subbed 🙌🏻
@@robertacott2671 Welcome on Board, glad to have you here. I’m also not the fastest, mainly because I build 3 projects at a time. But the next B-17 episode shouldn’t be that far anymore. Today attached primer to the main body…. Should be ready in a few weeks (Christmas time is always a busy time )
