I always thought that the princess was helping Arthur up after a battle... It turns out they were just chilling if the Resurrection intro is any indication.
Apparently what was actually happening was that they finished having sex, then satan was like “hey, I want in” and kidnapped her
It begins with one of the most shocking intros in video game history: A couple just got done having s3x in a cementary. I'm not even kidding. What else does it look like? He's not wearing clothes. Next thing, Satan shows up as if saying: "Yeah I wanna get it on some of that," and takes her away. That's the plot. Is that the greatest opening to an NES game or what?
Cool! I reckon Arthur was either being patched up by the princess or they were, you know. (Cool as long it’s consensual, which seems to be the case here!)
I love the audio in the GBC version.

Would’ve been really cool if you’d compared the entire series’ intros in one video instead of sticking specifically to games that have “Ghosts ‘n Goblins” in the title.
