Please try to read and rediscover Bharat. I was shocked and surprised when I started reading the Rig Veda. 11 different forms of governance have already been tried in India at different times and many of them simultaneously within Bharat. Kingship, communism, democracy, literary, self rule and more. Rig Veda lists each of their pros and cons as well.
Honestly, we don’t need validation from the West on what’s right and what’s wrong. We need to re-discover ourselves instead.

The majoritarian politics is a response to the minoritarian politics of most "secular" parties. Kashmir ethnic cleansing of Hindus did not help. A significant percentage of the centrist Hindus were getting anxious and upset. Modi just happened along and tapped into these anxieties. It is every party's responsibility to run a truly secular state. There is also a trust deficit between the communities. Not sure how that can be bridged. Truly secular voices (not ones indulging in al-Taqqiya) have to come up from within the Muslim community. Folks at the helm in the AIMPLB do not inspire much confidence in Hindus. There are lots of secular voices coming from Hindus (especially nominal Hindus). That is always good. This should be matched by the other side.....

By "secular" hindus do you mean the ones who asks for credits for opening the locks at Babri Masjid?
Also, You forgot to mention the Jammu Muslim ethinic cleansing which made them 20% from 80% and cunningly ignored the rigging of Kashimiri elections in the 1980s at the behest of the Central Govt. which gave rise the separatist movements in the valley.
Your hypocrisy is also apparent from the fact that AIMPLB is not responsible for the lynching of Pehlu Khan or r-pe of Asifa Bano in Jammu or the creation of RSS or Bajrang dal. Rather the Hindutva ideologues have claimed Muslims as their enemies even before the creation of 'Pakistan' which is the most pathetic excuse by any Sanghi apologists. okay brownie i will give you a valuable comment. Modi is the result of decades of minoritarian politics of so called "secular parties".
It starts from still unspoken past history of the medieval islamic invasion, destruction of temples, genocides of hindus, which many so called secular parties wanted to bury underground. Coming to participation, to kashmir ethnic cleansing of hindus, decades of islamic extremism (not just in india in many damn parts of the world, living in europe by the way). The most powerful Prime Minister was undoubtedly Pandit Nehru. Not only was he considered to be the successor of Mahatma Gandhi, he was also one of the most prominent leaders of the freedom struggle. If he wanted to, he could have taken control of all the media in the name of protecting national security (after the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi) and effectively built a cult of personality around him. But he chose the path of democracy. He encouraged opposition leaders. All of us have heard about how he once said that Atal Ji would one day become India's Prime Minister. He did not even seek to destroy the Hindu Mahasabha using force (even though he despised communalism and could have easily created an atmosphere against them using relentless propaganda and character assassination). Just because power isn't used, it doesn't mean that it's absent. And was it not used in another way? NAM, the IITs, AIIMS, IIM, INCOSPAR, etc., did not come into being out of absolutely nothing.
Edit: Also, we shouldn't forget facts like the achievement of conducting free and fair elections in the world's second most populous country and the successful prevention of military rule (similar to what occurred in places like Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Myanmar). Furthermore, nobody was compelling him to write to the Chief Ministers. He was still the Prime Minister and had the support of the vast majority of the Indian population. He also had no equivalent opposition within the INC. Had he wished to, he could have deliberately encouraged more submissive leaders and sidelined those who were more assertive. What have we seen in places like Madhya Pradesh recently? For Pandit Nehru, consultation was a choice, not a compulsion. When he felt that some people were immorally threatening Indian unity (such as in Kashmir and Kerala), he took decisive actions.
"I do not think that the ease with which he might have taken more tempting paths is understood. I do not believe his greatness is fully appreciated, but I have every confidence that if mankind is allowed to survive he will be recognised in a manner adequate to his stature."
-Bertrand Russell, The Legacy of Nehru, 1965

    • @MrPeaceGuy54

@@Dk-uh4no Many bigots do say that. Something tells me that Atal Ji would not have called a "bigot" "Bharat Mata's favourite prince". Something also tells me that Netaji's Indian National Army would not have have had a Nehru brigade if Netaji thought that he was a bigot. Additionally, Rajaji (who was a critic of many of Pandit Nehru's ideas) would not have called him the "most" civilised person in Swarajya (May 1964). It is the corruption and ignorance of the Congress that has made India forget about the value of the architect of the Republic.

I am sorry - he is not the most powerful. Unlike past PMs who had a wider reach and acceptability across India, Narendra Modi is merely the most devious. He knows that winning UP and a couple more states in the largely illiterate Hindi belt is all he needs. And then he has indulged in unleashing the agencies at his disposal in bullying the opposition, buying out the opposition wherever the opportunity exists. And then the billions spent on propping up his image. His policy is one of smoke and mirrors. Should he win again, he will unleash his most devious next phase - ministers like Subramaniam Jaishankar and Nirmala Sitharaman are no longer needed - and he is choosing the day path of making them contest the Lok Sabha elections which he knows they are going to lose. The state delimitation exercise where South India no longer matters but their taxes alone do - taxation without representation as the British had. Mughal rule of India was more benevolent than the Gujarati rule of India now.

No country can ever prosper if it's not secular and democratic. The entire population need to have sound health, reasonably good education, and must be allowed to work in an atmosphere of peace, love, and amity. Only then everybody will be able to contribute to the growth of the economy. And India needs it. A highly divided, polarized community working in an atmosphere of fear, hatred, suspicion will never ever be able to contribute to the growth of the country. The sooner the Indians understand it the better. Otherwise, notwithstanding the grandstanding of the government - building personality cult etc - India will keep sliding downhill.

@@ABHISHEKkumar-dm8ln It's nice to learn that you'd like to follow the path of the Muslims and Christians. Let me tell you that it is one thing to have majority of the population following a particular religion and it's a completely different thing to run a government using its scriptures (i.e. mixing religion with politics) and thus treating all others as second class citizens. No modern country can afford to do that for its own interest.
In response to the second comment I'd like to point out that we know and respect France for what it is - for it's economic state, science and technology, rich culture and not for the cathedrals. Let them construct as many cathedrals as they want but if they start mixing religion with politics in modern time like us it'll loose it's international status. We must ponder seriously over these issues.

I understand the lament in your tone but the problem with Indian analysts often is the exceptionalism and isolationism they try to conceptualize Indian politics in. The only thing that is irreversible in history is technological progress. Everything else is subject to the intellectual, social, and political efforts of man with the instruments at their disposal. You shouldn't miss that even in contemporary polity, despite Erdogan's twenty-year long dominance of Turkey (similar to what Modi is doing in India), he almost lost the recent elections. And of course history is far far longer than twenty years. We needn't even look beyond the tremendous defeat of fascism in 1940s within a few years of it establishing itself as powerful ideology throughout the world.
So such a lament is uncalled for. India's secular forces will likely be on the backfoot in the coming years, but this is not an irreversible condition. In all certainty, BJP's achilles heel is going to be mass unemployment and acute rural distress. India is staring at immense social unrest in the coming decade and one cannot exclude the possibility of RSS's political project imploding, but of course it's going to be a muddled process and only time will tell what happens.

I am a person with cerebral palsy The central Govt identified academic positions suitable for the Employment of persons with cerebral palsy but somehow Uttar Pradesh government did not do that. They have given in writing in 2021. Where is the double engine Tell me? Support is there but I disagree that the UPpar caste are beneficiary of Hindutva politics

With all due respect, India has always been divided on religious lines. Colonialism is the result of that division. Modi has just taken advantage of an ever existed polarized society.

We need to, very seriously , understand why is it that the common man is not throwing out Modi. Why can’t the aggrieved 70% throw out the BJP lock stock and barrel?
When you quote all the economic/ financial data please also point out why it’s happening. Maybe at least some people will understand the malady and do something about it.

Frenchman giving false facts ! Though the majority of voters did not support the BJP, Modi has an approval rating of close to 80%. Modi is India's most popular leader, despite the hatred people have for their councilors, MPs, MLAs, etc.
