Estate jewelry is pretty much a fancy word for pre-owned, example we had a couple in their 40's in the middle of a divorce and they were selling off their estate and contents inside, I took the jewelry which is now "estate jewelry" but it consisted of a lot of garbage like mall jewelry, paparazzi, some vintage and few pieces of gold and sterling. Most recognize estate jewelry as family heirlooms from ones passing but it's also another word for pre-owned.. When I list as estate vs just pre-owned i sell it much faster. There's just something about the word estate that sounds much more appealing and valuable. So if something is sold as an estate piece and it's pricey don't be afraid to ask for more information like who's estate or where did it come from.

Increased eBay sale by offering the Catalina vase at a good value for the starting price at $183. I had a feeling it would go higher. Until the last second and it went for $515 (shipping extra). It takes time to learn how to adjust starting bids.

You have to research them and look them up. In my opinion ebay is best but learn to check what the sell thru rate is how many listed vs sold so you don't list items that aren't selling
The other day a friend of mine dropped off a bunch of stuff someone gave her .. a bunch of doll furniture ad vintage pencil sharpeners that could be used for doll furniture as well. I'm not sure how i'm going to list them on Ebay .. some of them are unique pieces some not so unique. there's also part of a set of Red Rose tea figures too ..... i'll bundle those together. I used Google Lens (which I finally got a smart phone so I could try it out) to at least try to identify them. The 2 porcelain dish sets are pretty cool ... about n inch each.

How do you know what the stones are in the jewelry. Is there a book or site that gives guidance for identification?
