@@leftalone4264 I heard Tim state that as well but he may be modest there the A0 he has done is from him. Adam can hit real low as well, like real low. Amazing I wish he would lead on a song and have one of the others do a simple beat box- they all can and really screw people up :)
How is this group not one of the best main stream musical groups in the music world? I guess we are just honored to be fans of one of the best overlooked bands by the music industry. And Jenn, I don't think I have seen you jam with the music as you have with this cover. LOL

Adam Rupp killed this, and he was the one doing those high notes! This is such a great rendition of this feel good song- it is my new favorite! Great reaction, and it was fun to see you enjoying it so much! ❤️
Ahhh our Adam Rupp, wonder how his mind works lol. Tim said in an interview that they usually plot out their parts and turn it over to Adam to decide his part. If this is true, he's not just a freak of nature but a genius freak of nature!
In their Home Away from Home videos with Adam he states that the guys record their parts, Darren does the mixing and then it comes to him to record his part. No matter how it gets done Adam does an amazing job!
I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds. Adam is doing the high notes as you can see in the slowed down section.
I want to say I like this version better, but I just can't bring myself to do it. The Doobie Brothers were such a huge part of my childhood it almost feels wrong if it were true.
I cant even pretend to understand the musical language you use BUT,,,,,,,, it helps me hear the bits i might otherwise miss. These boys are almost too good 🥰🥰🥰
It’s so fun to watch musicians, like Jen, get into home Free. They first are wowed by Austin and Rob, then they get grabbed by Tim’s voice. Chance gets the nod depending on the songs. But Adam is usually last to be recognized. I think it’s because he sounds so much like percussion instruments it takes a while to sink in how incredible he is. This usually takes a few songs to complete the cycle. After Adam is fan girled over, reactors always tune in for what special thing is Adam going to do in this song! It’s a pattern and ?I love it when people can’t choose their favorite performer in Home Free. They are just that good!!
So much fun! Yes, as other's have said that is our Freak of Nature Adam doing the higher than the heavens notes! Home Free is the best! I can't get enough of them and this is my absolute new pick me up song/video!!! I love Everything about these AMAZINGLY talented gentlemen! Thanks Jen! Sending love from South Georgia!♥️😄🍟
Hey there, Jen!! This song... Just the song itself just channels so much positive energy. And how Home Free handles all the (seemingly) hundreds of high F#-E slides (I think Adam Rupp actually does most of these in this song) - just intense pleasure and dance provoking singing. Tim's masterful base lines (always), and the crazy good mid-range harmonies by Chance and Rob. And then there's Adam Rupp's endless vocal drum kit... If you were to have only ever seen this one song from Home Free, you could absolutely never believe he was doing ALL the rhythm and high slides himself. Yes, Austin has the "lead", but really it's Adam that leads this song with his insane vocal rhythm (just as you've said, Jen). This has such an intensely good vibe - It has become one of my favorites from Home Free quickly! Thank you so much, Jen, for your super positive energy - I loved watching you react to this! How many times after you recorded this did you go back and just listen for fun?? 🤗💗
Miss Jen...HOME FREE KICKED BUTT ONCE AGAIN.....you have to chair-dance to this one, you just can't sit still !!! Impossible ! This has shot up to the top of my Home Free favorites list !!! This Friday is supposed to be a funny one......look for it !!!
Home Free has taken another classic song and made it a classic of their own. Great song guys! Love your reaction/analysis, someday you'll get down to Tim's bass range. LOL!
High five on the A Floor! 😂 Jen, you always impress me with the ease of what you hear and pickup, and then you go and "light" imitate Adam's crazy sounds on top of that, just like that. I think you're just as talented as the guys of Home Free, in your own way. Thanks for another lovely and fun reaction and analyses. 🙏🥰
I believe that Adam Rupp was doing the high notes. Look at him when it goes to the five of them together. It looks like he's doing it. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song and your analysis.
Totally Awesome!!! They put their minds to it they simply can sing anything and do it exceptionally well. They cannot be boxed in as a Country vocal group, they bring it to each genre they pursue............ Go Home Free!!!!!!!!!!!!!😎
Home Free kicked ass again!!! The Doobie Brothers had guitars, drums, keyboards and other instruments to make this iconic song. HF only had Adam and their own vocal talents to make it a classic once again 50 years later. Our boys NEVER disappoint! Love all the new sounds Adam added and so glad the bandanas are back. He looked like he really had fun with this one
So cool. I loved the Doobies version 50 years ago. Still makes me smile and (kinda) dance. If this doesn't cheer you up on a bad day, I don't know what will.
I love the way Adam is bringing more of the vocals that he uses in his recent drum solos into their songs. He's really mastered using the looper so this should be fantastic live! PLEASE let them come to the UK soon!
You can see Rupp doing the high E-F slides in the back during the bridge when the drums drop out, so I think it’s him doing them the whole song, just layered in with his percussion tracks.
What a dynamite cover, between Adam Rupp’s showing out and their combined harmonies on the chorus, I love this! Especially in this song Adam displays such an assortment of his sounds and especially the tuned drums on transitions, beautiful. Glad you did this one quickly. Love your channel! Low bass/ Kenneth.
Love the Doobies and love what Home Free has done with this song! Great analysis Jen! to Adam Rupp (he is a drumkit ANIMAL!) These guys never fail to deliver.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. OMGosh what can you say. I love how you break down all these sounds. It’s fabulously done. I love your reaction. You make it fun to watch. Thank goodness you can do that. Thank You 🎼🔥🎶🔥🎵❤️
There's a video taken by an audience member "Home Free Kearny" that might interest you. A concert was cancelled because of a thunderstorm, rather than completely disappoint those who'd come, the members of Home Free went through the rain to a sheltered area where a lot of the audience where and sang "How Great Thou Art". Without mics, amps, speaker system of any kind, while standing on a picnic table with thunder in the background and wind blowing. It's remarkable not only for their singing under those conditions but for the thoughtfulness and kindness of doing so.
How much fun was that?!!! So much goodness!! 😀 Love these guys so much. The "feel good guys"!! - I love the guitar sounds esp right after the breakdown. It's so far in the background, you hardly hear it. I'm pretty sure that's Austin because he does that sound all the time, but it could be Chance as he does it as well, but just a tad different. I used to be able to pick out who was doing which sounds with ease, but they've grown in complexity so much, I can't do that anymore. Plus, they've managed to all come together in matching tone now, that it makes it even harder. Not to mention the filters and layering they're using every now and then on these studio versions. I've always loved this Doobie song and the guys really did it justice! - One of these days I'm convinced you're going to hit those bass notes and you'll hear me scream with joy clear across the pond from Florida!! 😄😉 Loved this analysis, Jen, as always!

Adam is a freak of nature in this one lol....he's so spot on with everything....his fills are so realistic. You know it's good when the reactor pushes the headphones harder against their head! I really enjoyed your reaction to this! Especially your immediate (often hilarious) imitation attempts!
Thank You for doing this song. I was feeling a bit down and you and the song perked me right up. Home Free and VOICEPLAY are my go-to groups to make me smile and you and your upbeat analysis make me happy.
LOVE your reactions to Home Free...always! Looks as if you had as much fun as we did hearing it the first time (& the other 50+ times I've watched this video)! 🥳 They're ALL so incredible!😲 Adam is from another planet!👽 I grew up loving the Doobie Brothers & loved their version but Home Free does it as good or better WITHOUT INSTRUMENTS!🎶 No other group can touch them!❤🎶🔥
except for when you had that shocked expression on your face I don't think you quit smiling through the whole song...LOVED this reaction and breakdown!!!
You had a blast reacting to this, and it showed. That is what makes a good reaction Great. And you can ask yourself why you try to copy Tim's Bass notes. Because we don't. BUT, we do expect you to have fun while you post for us. And Adam Rupp, he will never surprise me. He will shock and amaze me. OFTEN. But he will never surprise me. The day that an actual Drum Set comes out of his mouth, that will be the day that he surprises me. (never gonna happen) LMAO! Great Post, Jennifer.
Loved doing this one and nice to have a song from a band I know so well. There is a lot of HF material out there as they now drop new songs every Friday and you also get a few Tim or Austin solo as well the same day so plenty to keep us busy lol
I love Home Free and reactions by the best teacher on TH-cam Jennifer Glatzhofer. Adam is amazing in the world of beatboxing I would love to see the EQ on his channel.
didya hear Tim's deep slides? when you have 3 sopranos, 5 altos, 5 tenors, at least 2 basses and 2-3 beatboxers, one world champ- you have such a wealth of talent, the sky is hardly the limit!!!
So fun watching you smile through that! Amazing performance by the guys; each had memorable moments in it. Tough one to analyze because so much was going on. Good stuff, Jen!
Home Free makes me laugh right out loud just from the sheer joy of hearing their music. They make me so, so happy every time. Your reactions are so informative and interesting. I don't know the nuts and bolts of why I love Home Frees' music, all I know is my heart craves their music.

I sure hope Adam spends an hour on pure oxygen before this performance, because I don’t hear when he gets a chance to draw a breath! His beat boxing is legendary and I’ve not heard anyone better. Home Free did this song pure justice.
Great reaction Jen.... keep em coming...love the analysis and animation of that pretty face. :) Adam does some high note here (like in How Great Thou Art..) ... not just a beatboxer.
This is a fantastic cover of a Doobie Brothers hit. Many people forget one of the signatures of the Boobie Brothers was their dual drum kits and Adam Rupp covers extremely well the two drum kits. From viewing several live recordings, I am convinced that the only multi-tracking that Home Free does is in the drum track, which is played-back live. By the way, I believe that the opening high note is Adam Rupp.
Well done on that A floor 👏🏻👏🏻 Thanks for another great reaction/analysis, I thoroughly enjoy your energy and insight. And I have to agree with you and a bunch of people in the comments, it may be Austin singing this song but it is most definitely Adam in the lead.
I heard something in the background under the nice break down area @2:43. A nice counterpoint to everything going on upfront. Also, in watching through the song, it seems to be Adam that is doing the very high notes just before the break down area. If you watch him on the right of the screen you can see him doing it a couple of times.
Adam keeps the flow of sound going when the vocals make a change. Which is frequently. Never an empty space with Adam, not even for a split second. Thank you.
Great reaction, Jenn. What did I tell you, No coffee before this performance. 😆 I think it's Adam Rupp that's making those high descending pitches, If you watch it again at 10:00 it matches Adam Rupp's mouth doing the Fe sound. Not that I'm giving you another reason to watch it .😂
I love watching one who knows ins and outs of vocal music have soooo much JOY in listening and experiencing songs and performances (I'll let you in on a little secret: I'm talking about you). Your reactions are endearing for sure; you're a doll. Thanks for what you do.

It’s so good! Adam was a beast! I think it may have been Adam doing that high pitched slide? Maybe? He was doing scratches and crazy drum beats and high wows or something like that. Loved Tim’s low notes too. Just a fun song with lots of energy. Great reaction Jen. You’re so much fun to watch!🥰😍
Jenn, you're just cute as bug's ear when it comes to reaction (sorry for the Tennessee coming outta me!) Your passion for the voice is infectious and delightful! Keep on girl!!

Great reaction Jen! Adam Rupp is a beast! This is such a feel good fun song. Can’t wait to see your next one!
Austin is my favorite but they all are amazing. Together they are Home Free. Adam bringing in all the instrument sounds. Amazing!
Austin sang this song, but Adam took the lead with this one. Thanks for your awesome reaction.
Thank you!
@@JenniferGlatzhofer : I actually pick this song for you to react
High oo's are Adam Rupp! watch your video at 10:25 mark and you can see Adam on the right back of the video doing oo's.
Exactly.
I love that you notice things in your analysis that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.
Thank you😊
You know it's good when the reactor pushes the headphones harder against their head! I really enjoyed your reaction to this! Especially your immediate (often hilarious) imitation attempts!
Yay! We're getting Home Free month ;) I'm so excited I get to see them live in a few months.
Oooh enjoy!
Thank You for doing this song. I was feeling a bit down and you and the song perked me right up. Home Free and VOICEPLAY are my go-to groups to make me smile and you and your upbeat analysis make me happy.
Ah thank you! 😁
LOVE your reactions to Home Free...always! Looks as if you had as much fun as we did hearing it the first time (& the other 50+ times I've watched this video)! 🥳 They're ALL so incredible!😲 Adam is from another planet!👽 I grew up loving the Doobie Brothers & loved their version but Home Free does it as good or better WITHOUT INSTRUMENTS!🎶 No other group can touch them!❤🎶🔥
the floaty high note is Adam Rupp
except for when you had that shocked expression on your face I don't think you quit smiling through the whole song...LOVED this reaction and breakdown!!!
Did you watch Tim's Bash? More music coming from Tim, Austin, Chris and Jeffrey
Loved doing this one and nice to have a song from a band I know so well. There is a lot of HF material out there as they now drop new songs every Friday and you also get a few Tim or Austin solo as well the same day so plenty to keep us busy lol
Oh wow! How do they have the time 😱
@@JenniferGlatzhofer Guess lockdown was good for them lol
I was so excited to see you are reacting to this! Woo hoo
Adam Rupp, your a beast!! Ur voice and beatboxing!! OMG!!❤
YEAH! More Home Free! Everything they did on this video is amazing. So much energy & happiness. Adam Rupp is doing the E5. And congratulations on getting pas the A flat 4. Rockin' it as usual Jen. Thanks so much for the reaction. Love your channel.
3:22
Ah....what would my day be without listening to your "bass." 😋😋😋❤❤❤
Mis Jen I have had the opportunity to see them live what a great time I had and what a party they'll be in England soon.
All of the high stuff, the E5 and such is also our very own ADAM RUPP 😁 Same with How Great Thou Art... they are all EXTREMELY versatile and talented.
I love watching your reactions. Your so cute and look like your having so much fun. I also love how you keep checking things on your keyboard. Don't stop reacting.
Love your reactions, especially to Home Free, just wanted to suggest a new one, you’ll love it no doubt! The name of it, Here’s what’s left of my heart.. Tim wrote it enough said!
I knew the day I asked you to do this one you'd knock the analysis right out of the park! So so good!... You are hands down my favorite and your reaction was priceless! Thank you!
If you watch at about 2:26 (when all of the guys are in the same shot), you can see Adam singing the super high part.
This is my wake up song. Austin may be singing leàd but Adam Rupp steals the show. Rupp is going wild! Great reaction as usual.
Adam does some high note here (like in How Great Thou Art..) ... not just a beatboxer.
Love your reactions awesome 👌 ❤
This is a fantastic cover of a Doobie Brothers hit. Many people forget one of the signatures of the Boobie Brothers was their dual drum kits and Adam Rupp covers extremely well the two drum kits. From viewing several live recordings, I am convinced that the only multi-tracking that Home Free does is in the drum track, which is played-back live. By the way, I believe that the opening high note is Adam Rupp.
Well done on that A floor 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for another great reaction/analysis, I thoroughly enjoy your energy and insight.
Your enthusiasm is so much fun to watch, you put joy into your reactions. You are one of a few reactions just to watch the reactor. Joy
Not that I'm giving you another reason to watch it .😂
Oh I have definitely watched it over and over again 😂 thanks!
This was absolutely COOL!! This and China Grove were my 2 fav Doobies' songs. They did it justice.
I love watching one who knows ins and outs of vocal music have soooo much JOY in listening and experiencing songs and performances (I'll let you in on a little secret: I'm talking about you). Your reactions are endearing for sure; you're a doll. Thanks for what you do.
Hey Jen long time Home Fry. Long time Jen reacts lover. Just wanted to say you are absolutely gorgeous! Super fan here, me. I am myself a Home Fry, Voice play boy and a big Dear! Your reactions every week keeps me going!
I love your channel and the way you break things down without being rude or judgemental. you are so much fun.🥰
Thanks so much!
Perfection! My fellow Fries have said it all!
Loved the reaction!
That super high note is Adam
I love to see your reactions to the music as well as hear your analysis. And I love Home Free.
Great reaction to this one 🤣 The guys surprise me all the time with their choice of music and how great they can be together!! Thanks 👍
Jenn, you're just cute as bug's ear when it comes to reaction (sorry for the Tennessee coming outta me!) Your passion for the voice is infectious and delightful! Keep on girl!!
