Great Peter - Definitely the honour course this one. Interesting how you have now seen two in as many weeks! - A bit of a worry to think these little buggers might be starting to fail on wagons
I ended up taking the hit on mine and just getting rid of it with a €8k loss on what I paid for it 3 years ago having put another €3.5k into it with various engine problems. The 2.2L skyactive is probably the worst engine I've ever seen put in a car. It's such a shame because when it's working properly it's a cracking car.
These Mazda diesels are too much grief .see loads for sale going for buttons and no wonder repair costs must crazy with diagnostic time probably work out cheaper buying a petrol model to start with , you would need to be a mechanic to own one nice to drive though when there running Thanks for sharing . 👌👍
Got Skyactiv 2.2D for 10 years now - zero issues with the engine itself. Good oil every 6000miles, intake cleaned, injector washers replaced, recently dpf washed. Car drives great. Problem are the users and lack of servicing - not the engine itself.
Took all day...to do one side..omg..could not get the stupid brake pads into the friggin carrier. Took a nice bit of skin off my thumb too.😢 claret everywhere. Had to break out the emergency bandage pack. Mazda think of everything❤❤❤❤
I have the same error code P2263 on my 2018 Mazda 1.5 Skyactiv diesel. Could it be the same problem? My issue occurs when the engine is cold; when the engine is warm, if I turn the car off and on again, it seems to work normally even though the check engine light remains on. I'm desperate 🤦🏻♂️

Yey again bùddy,a thorough approach to diagnosis, well done
I've tested low down solenoids at the vent pipe which can be sometimes high on the engine. Mityvac on the vent, see if it's passing.

Petrol Mazdas fix them selves. The misfire on mine has disappeared. I only had to drive it for 10k miles. 😂 Great show Peter.
Happy days! Another very informative video. Thank you
